Meltwater has good capabilities for social listening overall, but is quite standard
What do you like best about the product?
AI tools help create searches easily, and it is ideal for social media listening
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of searches that come out are not relevant to the topic being searched, and there are not enough sources for data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps us to find what people are saying about brands and how they feel about them, and help us research current topics
Overall I am very satisfied with Melt Water but have areas I'd like to see improve
What do you like best about the product?
- The innovative platform and mindset - data is always evolving and improving
- The account management and care for us as clients is always exceptional - we feel we are always being heard and bespoke improvements made to the product to help us specifically
- The insights for short form social platforms are great
- The ability to have multiple teams use multiple products from the Melt Water suite - hopefully this can continue to evolve
- The AI functionality and improvements are great and continue to help improve the interface and insights we can get
- Excellent customer support
- The account management and care for us as clients is always exceptional - we feel we are always being heard and bespoke improvements made to the product to help us specifically
- The insights for short form social platforms are great

What do you dislike about the product?
- Ease of implementation is still an issue for us. Klear still doesn't meet our needs as a platform given the block on our biggest growth channel, YouTube - the team are continually helping us with workarounds but we need a solid, automated solution for data, insights, reporting, discovery
- As no YouTube data, we cannot use the Klear score as it excludes YouTube
- The connect function and CRM is still very clunky for us which stops us from using the platform for everything end to end - we want to improve this so we can rely on only using Klear v all the internal sheets
- Lack of ability to log deal amounts and content amounts in an organised fashion within influencer profiles - we have deals that post content monthly and there is nowhere to log the cost each month a part from in a messy note. Need to see results and cost and performance by influencer and then have that all aggregated with a campaign
- Improvements in the above would increase our frequency of use

- AI automation - with more automation of insights, data etc, more time free'd up on our side for creativity = more influencer activity = more growth = more Klear usage
- Discovery of new influencers - this is the primary function we use it for - aggregated view of relevant influencers, although this needs improvement at a regional level (outside of UK and US)
- Allows us to centralise all of our influencers rather than in G sheets - CRM function
- Allows ua to connect with influencers and mange all conversations in one place

Handy media monitoring tool
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has a useful interface across both desktop and the mobile app which makes it easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Due to licensing restrictions, they don’t have access to all coverage which can create difficult moments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it much easier to monitor the media, which u have to do on a daily basis.

Best platform I've tried
What do you like best about the product?
It's fairly intuitive. It seems to have a good database of media contacts organized in a way that makes targeting/weeding out pretty easy and efficient. Reporting of engagement in emails sent is nice and easy to understand. Customer support has been fairly responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a 1,000 email/day limit, but that is pretty standard for these types of platforms. It would be nice to have a report available to show engagement on emails sent. Instead I have to create that manually.

Enables us to reach a targeted audience and shows how much interest there was in our message.
Go-to PR tool for media database and monitoring

Timely media monitoring, media database and social reporting

Costs of the tool and/or costs of additional searches, logins, licenses, etc.

As a PR agency we need access to reliable media databases and media monitoring

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use for all the things it does. After a few minutes of playing with the site, it feels like all the features are fairly easy to utilize and super helpful in minimizing the number of sites you have to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I will sometimes get sites where the link is broken or the article does not exist, but it generally doesn't take too much time away from my tasks.

What do you like best about the product?
I initially loved the functionality, the ability to combine content and reporting along with social listening. The sales team was very responsive in helping us get questions answered prior to contract signing. As a small agency, it was a big decision for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
We experienced a number of technical issues during a trial period where we continued to see bugs, report them, run into issues, and not get any kind of resolution, and sometimes not even a response. The customer team was non responsive, and had agreed to things prior to contract signing that did not happen. During the time where we did not hear from them, the customer contact we were told we had left the company (unknown reason why) and we were not even notified.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater solved our ability to manage many social profiles, track analytics more thoroughly and combine searches across the Engage platform and the media monitoring tool.
Positive and Straightforward XP
What do you like best about the product?
The social listening components and ease of making contact lists for PR purposes are beneficial features.
What do you dislike about the product?
If anything, potentially the number of clicks per page, or not being able to return to the same place in a list when clicking on a specific item and leaving that list page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater makes it easier to sort, review and take inventory of specific contacts, organize lists and distribute info to key audience groups. It's faster to source the right info and share it with the right people.
