DataSift in schools
What do you like best about the product?
I liked how Datasift normalizes data from resources like popular online blogs about school counseling that I find useful in comparing my own data to.
What do you dislike about the product?
I disliked how difficult to understand it seemed upfront.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been able to learn about how other schools in my market are able to reach their families and obtain insight into how I can uniformally and successfully connect with our students on a social network basis year round.
A generally good and effective tool
What do you like best about the product?
The Radarly interface is smooth and intuitive. The numerous display settings of the dashboard allow for a very appreciable customization of the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the indexing time too long. The email alerting is also weak (compared to other tools).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The tool allows me to process a high volume of data. The presentation in a social wall is also highly appreciated by my client.

the platform includes arabic posts written in latin letters.

when you export posts, the excel format is not convenient.

I like the clear categorization for each report, user can understand the usage of each report and utilize it

However the UI inside each report is not really good. especially the date presentation and the comments display area

Really easy and powerful social listening tool, excellent value for money!

Easy to use (conception of search requests, alerting), beautiful and very complete dashboards. Powerful use of filters, through drop down lists and/or clicks on any item of the dashboard

Daily digest email shape is not as beautiful and convenient as is the tool itself. But LInkfluence is working on revamping the whole thing, so...

Ideal Platform for Agencies
What do you like best about the product?
The Radarly team has made sure all the important information we might look for is available up front with a great UI that is easily to navigate. The team also work with us to ensure that we get the support needed and take suggestions to the development team to add and enhance features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most challenging element is not the fault of the platform but the nature of social APIs in general. We would ideally like to be able to access historic data exhaustively but most social channels are limited in how far back they can go. This issue is however faced by all listening platforms and the Radarly team has a huge library of previously searched data for clients to draw on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary use for the platform is to understand how people talk about our client's products and their competitors. We will also look at specific events, as well as extrapolate portraits of the various people talking on social media. We listen during product launches and events to capture any resultant conversation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The platform is ideal if you have a large number of clients or need a large number of queries and need flexibility over your search data usage. You can bolt on additional volumes of searches if necessary. The platform provides very easy access to the data with no need to separately build out charts yourself. You can even export reports straight to powerpoint!

Instagram monitoring needs improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is helpful for tracking social media content.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't do a very good job of tracking Instagram content. Content where LACOSTE is tagged often does not show up in the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Social media monitoring. We are finding content that we may have missed through manual monitoring.
Good Data Aggregator - Otherwise restrictive
What do you like best about the product?
As a way to call multiple channel APIs with a single boolean query; it's a fairly useful piece of kit
What do you dislike about the product?
It's strength is it's weakness. It isn't reflective of how each of the APIs work.
Also, all the analytic functions - particularly sentiment - are fairly terrible. A simple positive, negative, neutral approach doesn't cut it anymore

As an aggregator - it's great. It allows us to scrape data for deeper NLP analysis and for influencer monitoring, it is very useful
Radarly has been a really sueful tool for social media montoring of my development projects

The ability to track multiple projects at a time, and to easily generate reports

Its limitations around pay-walls, and private facebook groups
