What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that they can quickly give you any reporter's email address and you can search by beats, by media (radio/print/tv, etc), and you can search by location. that is extremely helpful. i also appreciate that you can keep databases so for example, if i quickly need to send an email to reporters in houston, i have a stack of contacts that i know are reliable.
What do you dislike about the product?
so often the contact information is completely wrong or the person doesn't even work at that station anymore. because of that, I usually have to spend over an hour looking thru the database for each city, unclicking and clicking the reporter's names that are applicable. And what I also hate is that when i click "select all" on the database list-it doesn't click all, not unless you scroll to the bottom of the list!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am solving the "problem" of media pitching. Without meltwater, it wouldn't be nearly as successful. I think that we'd be able to find reporters but it would take so much more time and potentially we couldn't reach out personally.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would first look at other products to see how expensive they are and how up to date their media database is. For thousands of dollars, you should know that the time that you're putting into the product is worth it and will deliver results. Also, their wire service is complete garbage-it does not reach any more people than simply sending out a press release. And their sales staff can be very pushy-like please don't call me-just send me an email!

What do you like best about the product?
Once they allowed for customizable packages, we were able to get more flexibility with what we needed versus did not use since their product is very robust and we didn't need all the features. Advanced searching for building PR outreach lists was nice, and the web mention alerts were comprehensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was priced too high for the actual return for a small/medium sized business. Would be a better fit for large enterprises or agencies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Makes social scheduling easy (but is really just a white labeled Sprout Social), searching for journalists based on keyword and geography is great.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
They will BADGER you during the sales process. If you aren't prepared to make a decision quickly, wait to reach out to them.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that the dashboard is user-friendly! I am able to finally pull reports to show all of the PR efforts and explain to the management team what exactly is working and not working. The newest feature of being able to easily email the dashboard is amazing!
What do you dislike about the product?
The one thing that I dislike is that it seems like Meltwater doesn't register all media.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am finally able to show results of our PR efforts to my leadership team. We have never measure PR before and to be able to put results behind our work has been amazing!

What do you like best about the product?
I like that they have a template for newsletters with media hits that they custom-design for the client.
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater doesn't pick up all the media hits, and we have to compile media contacts ourselves.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're monitoring our media hits and realized we need a more tools to compile our hits.

Good PR Distribution & Media Monitoring Tool

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has a very robust search functionality for targeting the right journalists who are writing about the topics applicable to your industry. Very handy for sending out distributions! The media monitoring search criteria is also very robust. I worked with a great service rep who helped us fine tune our searches and remove the noise.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing substantial that I can think of, but I suppose it could be easier to understand how the boolean search worked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helped us to monitor what our audience targets were talking about and then we were able to align that to our content marketing strategy.

The Boolean search makes it easy to track impressions for clients and competitors.

Calls with the company are more about selling more features and renewing contracts than about problem solving.

What do you like best about the product?
1. I have been using this product for close to 3 years and I find that the data quality and volume are good
2. Text analytics are okay
3. Customer service is prompt
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Off late it is slow and takes time to load
2. The new UI is not great and I feel the old UI was far better
3. Resolution of complaint takes more time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
for solving business problem related to social media.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good tool for social listening and monitoring. off late we are getting more issues. Customer service is fine. If the issue is related to query setting or downloading, service is normally fast, else it normally takes more time to resolve. Overall the tool is good for social listening and the availability of historical data is a good feature.

What do you like best about the product?
Able to search keywords on multiple social media outlets with dates and specific outlets being able to be filtered.
What do you dislike about the product?
Was hard to initially set up. Not as mobile friendly as I wold have expected
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
able to do some analytics involved with perception maps and keyword driven. Allowed us to search certain keywords and see what kind of content the competitors were putting out there. A lot faster and efficient then searching tweet by tweet

What do you like best about the product?
Great UI and concept. Very powerful database and value.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not factor fake followers into its rating. Someone can have over 50% bought followers and it will still show an 80+ rating.

Countries % break down does not match with Deep.social's stats.
