Good social media listening tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to pull social media metrics and provide them to clients in a quick, timely manner

Some repeat searches would pull up diff numbers

Able to provide quick reports to clients. Could add analytics and monitoring to business offering

What do you like best about the product?
I love Meltwater because you can customize and format what you want to send to publications. It’s eacy to create a list of contact and the “search” feature is amazing! You can look for bloggers in a specific area, writing about a specific thing- or you can look for a regional reporter. The options are endless!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like that you can’t have a “smart sending option”. If you use Meltwater a lot, it’s hard to remember who is part of which contact list so sometimes you can add the same contact to multiple lists. Then you find yourself send multiple pitches to the same contact in a short period of time. Smart sending would allow there to be a 16 hr gap where the same person can’t recieve an email from you within 16 hrs of each other.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A major benefit is that you can upload your own contact list into Meltwater. This allows you to track how responsive your pitch was. You can see the open rate and the links that were clicked.

Learn how to utilize ALL of the features. You will definitely get your money’s worth!

Easy to Use But Can Produce A Surplus of Results

Meltwater is very user friendly. It is not difficult to adjust your settings and cater your results:

I work for a corporation and tend to receive a lot of results in my daily report. It can be difficult to find the time to scan through the entire report seeking something of value.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater has helped my department gain a read how our company is being portrayed in the media. And this can fluctuate daily and geographically.

Request a meeting with a customer specialist to set up your account and to ensure that you have the appropriate settings to receive the results that you are seeking.

I like that Meltwater links the social media accounts to the reporters contact information and seems to be pretty updated.

I find it hard sometimes to use, your search has to be extremely exact down to punctuation.

I am using Meltwater to find reporters contact information and have had success finding the accurate information.

I like the filter capability, being able to take out common words and phrases that aren't relevant to my search.

Sometimes there is downtime with the platform unexpectedly. And you have a limited number of saved searches and you have to purchase additional ones

What do you like best about the product?
You can look up phone numbers and email addresses with anyone, but I love the word search functionality that allows me to see which journalists have covered certain subjects and competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you need to fool around with the cities and markets to get the correct journalists to appear. Never have quite figured that out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Expanding to new markets where we don't have many contacts yet is key.

Total bargain. You really don't need the other bells and whistles.
