What do you like best about the product?
I like that it captured our campaign reach around the country
What do you dislike about the product?
I had a hard time with the reporting feature. For example, I wasn't sure whether how this tool was useful for our grant reporting

Great - But Can Be Pricey
What do you like best about the product?
Love the social media monitoring - helps me find people who are talking about my organization!
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't love is the price - but their sales reps will work with you.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm picking up on online media coverage I might have otherwise missed!

If you're a small business owner, this tool might be more than you need - it really all depends on the amount of online chatter there is that surrounds your brand.
Intuitive user experience makes monitoring and outreach a breeze
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is easy to use and customer support is top notch. Always responsive and able to train on the smallest of issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Importing lists is tricky - they have to follow a certain format. Thankfully, folks over at Meltwater can format the lists for you.

Shop around and drive each of your options. You'll find that ease of use is super important, not just functionality.

Social media management (posting, listening, measuring, etc.)
Great information, new version is a step backward

The information is really great and can't really be found anywhere else

The new version (Search) is markedly slower than the old one (MAP). It has also switched to less information in some spots - there are a few locations where I used to be able to see volume and percentage but can now only see percentage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sysomos has helped give us a single tool to use for analysis instead of multiple.
One of the worst monitoring / media platforms I've ever used.
What do you like best about the product?
The business / support team is very nice to customers. It's a cheaper alternative to better solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Literally everything. One of the worst platforrms I've ever used. Buggy, useless for comprehensive coverage reporting, missing contacts for tons of important media folks, overall horrible experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We realized very few benefits and it actually provided significantly more problems than it solved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't use them.
Outreach capability is a huge time-saver!
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to pull lists of writers/influencers to reach out to based on relevant keywords for your release/content/etc. is fantastic. You can pull a list based on keywords you've already selected to use for your campaign and build new lists of contacts within minutes. You can then create a customized email (by first name, last name, etc) to send to the entire list. You can then also see the open rate and click rate on these emails. Much better than individual outreach regardless of it you are sending to 5 people or 500.
What do you dislike about the product?
The navigation tabs on the left are a little confusing at times to find what you are looking for, but then continue to make updates that have been helping.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pulling reports and adding them into results is as easy taking a screen shot or exporting. Definitely a time saver. Also, the outreach functionality saves me a ton of time and still looks like I'm sending out all of the emails personally.
