Valuable Analytics and Insights, Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
It's great to be able to monitor media coverage of my organization. I also appreciate being able to segment lists of publications/reporters to send media releases to.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it had better monitoring of broadcast news.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us target publications and reporters in niche areas; helps us monitor our media coverage; helps us keep basic track of analytics

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish podcasts had their own Media Channel.
Also, when setting up an Outreach, I wish I could copy and paste in the content [if written in google docs or another platform] and it keep the format. Constantly having to go back to fix the format is exhausting.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Picking up coverage and especially duplicates is so helpful in reporting accurate AVE for clients.
The PR analytics also allow us to report on so much more for clients.

Easy to use and learn. I also like the customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Old and clunky and not as feature rich as the competition.

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has incredibly powerful media monitoring and analytics capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I was using it, the mobile appliation for their social media dashboard did not allow one to create posts, so it wasn't functional for our needs. They have, however, remedied this and you're now able to do so.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's an all-in-one powerful tool that combines what numerous other tools specialize in, and beats them in doing so!

I love the user-friendliness of the Meltwater tool and the responsive customer support.

Sometimes my notifications are a bit late.

Gathering all of our media mentions and sharing them in a timely fashion.
Top Analytics Solution for PR and Media Coverage
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has a great user experience and caters to all skill levels. It's really easy to get set up and started and they have a massive library of training to answer all of your questions and enhance your use of the tool. As you get settled in you can keep learning and they do a great job of improving the tool with new features as the market fluctuates and new technology is available.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's an expensive tool, but I will say our team believes that it's a valuable tool to invest in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Meltwater on a regular basis for sending press releases, reaching out to the media, reporting on media coverage, Share of Voice in our markets, and for competitive analysis. Meltwater has closed a lot of gaps for my team and provides a great one-stop solution for several tasks.
Great database but navigation can be tricky
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater keeps updating its database, saving hours of time sourcing reporters and freelancers I otherwise would not be able to find.
What do you dislike about the product?
The left navigation menu seems to change constantly, requiring me to figure out where I need to click next.

Meltwater helps me source reporters and editors at scale, removing hours of tedious research.
Excellent way to monitor corporate PR communications efficacy
What do you like best about the product?
One stop solution. Create customized dashboards to monitor the effectiveness of campaigns and compare performance against competitors and overall perception over a period of time. If you have questions on how to get better insight, Meltwater experts are available to help design or tweak the dashboards and reports needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has almost too much functionality. It can be very technical and require a high level of skill to utilize the platform.

Provides verifiable evidence of the efficacy of our communication campaigns.

What do you like best about the product?
Global coverage of news is a good feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to reach proper channels using outreach. Get results back that don't fit industry or are not related to product.

One place to track social posts - works well for scheduling and posting. Monitoring competitor social posts and news.
Not good for nonprofit social listening
What do you like best about the product?
Email capability to reporters is good at first glance. It seems comprehensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Social listening is difficult; dashboards don't help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For now it only helps us with news release distribution. The social media component isn't working at all.
