What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater provides acess to vast amount of online and offline media sources allowing us to get a holistic view of our brand's online presense and reputation. This is helpful when reporting to our clients on user sentiment, comments, and engagement regarding a case that is ongoing.
My team and I love the customer support, always feel like we have someone to support us and guide along the way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost: I find this tool to be on the expensive side. If it serves your companies needs, than this is exteremly worth it. Otherwise, it is a big expense if it does not serve you well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Holistic reporting to clients regarding their brand's online reputation.

So many glitches lately! It feels like every week we need to reach out to our team for support.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the scheduling and analytics of metlwater.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are scheduling errors, but their team is quick to help with these problems.

It's solving our scheduling issues with their great calendar.

Meltwater is More Than Just a Comms Tool

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has undergone a huge change from how I first used them in 2017. Back then, their databases were stale and out-of-date and their account representatives seemed only interested in getting you to renew your contract. Those days are gone! Now their database is dynamic and well researched. They're monitoring tools are effective and easy to use. Their account representatives are available to help you troubleshoot and optimize your use of their tools. And, they now have well-built traingings, frequent webinars, and this wonderful mCommunity piece where you can network and brainstorm with other PR & Comms professionals. Meltwater has changed the game and is offering a superior product with a lot of different touchpoints that allow you to be the best Comms professional your organization has ever seen!
What do you dislike about the product?
Literally nothing. I feel like Meltwater has transitioned from being the punchline of the joke in the PR & Comms world to being an industry leader that far surpasses their competition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater allows me to easily track earned media pick-ups in addition to social media mentions and uses of our hashtags. It also lets me easily research writers i should be pitching stories to. I also greatly appreciate and benefit from using their mCommunities online and in-person.

What do you like best about the product?
It's great having an archive to find media coverage not just on our company, but on competitors and programs we're interested in supporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The internet is a big place so it can be difficult sometimes to filter out the unncessary or irrelevant news coverage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Capturing media coverage and reporting it internally with a newsletter.

Declining customer service

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater can do a nice job pulling media alerts and has a fairly easy-to-use display and reporting options.
What do you dislike about the product?
-Price for exact same service increased 69% within 18 months
-Customer service is very poor
-They are slow on client requests and frequently make mistakes
-They will not provide any grace period if you decide to cancel - make sure you notify them well in advance (missed the 60 day-out renewal deadline and they would not allow us to cancel - nor did they even ask why we wanted to cancel, simply focused on strong arming to ensure payment happened with the auto-renewed service we did not want
-I've been an on and off customer since 2016, with two different companies, but have been extremely displeased with the decline in customer service and will not ever use again
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater provides monitoring across media and social media platforms to centralize data on earned media and related media mentions and attitudes about our organization and connected programs/issues. Service is overpriced and and anything-but customer-centric

Comprehensive coverage across online and print media
Powerful analytic tool to slice up adnd interept data

Less archive acess further back in time
No storage of searched keywords in quick search
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a digital anayst monitoring our clients online presence is very necessary to maintain their online reputation, Meltwater tracks everything real time and helps us do a proper analysis on them

Easy to use and mostly user-friendly, good for media monitoring.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the platform misses clips/coverage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It captures media coverage across Canada. We also use the influencer tool Klear, which provides access to millions of influencers.
