It is resource-intensive in terms of server requirements and performance. Running Mautic on low-spec servers or with large databases may result in slower response times or performance issues.

We have to reduce our manual effort in the marketing we have been doing for a long time.

Mautic helps us to reduce that effort and automate our marketing Process with less efforts and with no cost included.

1. Mautic is Feature Rich. Its primary function is to provide Marketing Automation capabilities in unlimited use and functionality.
2. Although there is limited CRM built in, the APIs included in Mautic allows you to connect to several CRM products dedicated to that function, leaving Mautic free to perform Marketing Automation.
3. Unlimited users and unlimited roles
4. Unlimited custom fields for data specific to our business model.
5. Unlimited Campaigns - Build as many campaigns as often as you like.
6. Unlimited Email capabilities, and it only costs ten cents for every 1,000 emails sent.
7. Campaign Scheduling is unlimited - we break 50,000 contacts into 20 daily transmissions (2,500 each) - this helps with our daily site visitors and improves our SEO
8. Unlimited Lead Scoring - Assign points to contacts for each action they take and move them into other campaigns. Assign tags and categories to indicate what they were interested in.
9. Unlimited Contacts - Unlimited contacts can be stored in Mautic. Those contacts can be assigned to Companies so that I can review a company and see who all the contacts are.
10. Pro-Active marketing - something that cannot be done with any of the online marketing solution providers.
11. Cost - I've used Mautic for about 3+ years in various versions. Using Mautic 4.2.0 currently after the upgrade. The entire implementation was about $500 to install and about $50 per month for hosting, and 10 cents for every 1,000 emails that I send. I have been helping other SMBs to implement their own in-house Marketing Automation system for the same price, and they are amazed. One of the principal online marketing providers wants $800 a month for less capabilities. So there is a huge savings!
12. Capabilities - Mautic is great for startup businesses - IF YOU GET PROPER TRAINING! It is not an easy platform to learn to use because of the openness and breadth of the features. Once users are adequately trained, the solution will grow with the business up to the Enterprise level.
13. External connectivity to other products like email template builders, SMS messaging services, social media, CRM products, Voice over IP Phones and more.
14. Campaign cloning: This feature will be invaluable if you have an extensive campaign with many automations and many email links to assign tags, categories or other automations.

What do you dislike about the product?

3.3.2 and 4.2.0 are the same:
1. It is complex at first and can be intimidating. IT REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 1 to 2 WEEKS OF "peering-over-the-shoulder" TRAINING. Now that we have learned it, we provide this help to other users, FREE OF CHARGE, because a tool is only enjoyed if you know how to use it properly. FREE TRAINING if we install the solution and see that it is appropriately set up to proper specifications and with specific 3rd party connections.
2. Some little things occur like errors "Failed to execute campaign event for XXX." When there are many of these, you cannot dismiss them in bulk. Instead, it would help if they could be dismissed in bulk. There is no impact on Mautic functionality, it is just distracting to see the warning message constantly.
3. Version Update notifications - the button to "Upgrade Now." NEVER CLICK THIS BUTTON!!!! At least not with current versions. A qualified IT technician must perform upgrades. This message cannot be cleared or turned off if you intend to remain with your current version.
4. Contacts who do not unsubscribe from emails but instead mark emails as SPAM (I'm guilty of this too ... because we are all learning not to click on email links. Also, It's easier to mark an email as SPAM. Mautic has no automated means to handle these scenarios, so it needs to be resolved manually with every campaign.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

1. One issue we used to experience is cloning campaigns sometimes fail. Cloning campaigns have been rock solid in the newer versions. Cloning campaigns allows you to automatically copy a previous campaign. This is an excellent feature if you have a campaign with many automations and many email links to assign points, tags or categories.
2. 4.2.0 - Webforms are easier to create and embed in websites to capture customer information. They removed a useful feature that we hope they bring back - the ability to add attachments to customer emails from within Mautic. I don't recall this being an issue with Mautic Version 3.3.2.

Works very well once it is set up, but it takes time.

Integration and complete configuration with other platforms are not that easy.

What do you like best about the product?

The easy way of creating Custom fields for forms, and Api features. Super easy to integrate with WordPress, lot of plugin options available, can use single platform for campaigns between various domains.

What do you dislike about the product?

Too many options with a little confusing backend, it can become overwhelming for beginners to figure where to go for what. A more clean UI might help and give a fresh look.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

We made Horoscope websites for a single client and need single place to integrate marketing for all domains, it was easy to fo it with mautic, and integrated backend on subdomain heloed cleint a lot.

What do you like best about the product?

The email marketing and automation features where the marketer can create a specific workflow according to their use case scenario is the best feature of Mautic that I have seen.

What do you dislike about the product?

The build is very buggy. There are a lot of improvements that can be taken into consideration such as an HTML editor to start with that helps in real-time editing of the HTML emails.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mautic resolved marketing challenges such as bulk outreach, branding and targeted promotions. Most marketers are used to working on such CRM's in all their workplaces, so the learning curve was less.

Mautic is open source which has its perks but if you're a developer trying to explore SaaS, it's a good place to start with.

Nobody 'owns' it, so for us (plain marketing and sales users) it is hard to deploy it

The integration is smooth. We had this mautic use case even before acquia acquired mautic. I can describe the use case and solution we came up with using acquia cloud and mautic if required.

What do you dislike about the product?

When we integrated it with mautic, which we hosted on AWS and needed to talk to Acquia, we always wanted to see if we could host it on the same Acquia cloud instead of aws. I believe Acquia cloud should give one mautic installed on 1 CD env for free to understand its use case. It's just a basic PHP and mysql database that someone can install easily.

Benefits: We love mautic because it helps clients and us to run campaigns and evaluate the reports afterward. But along with lead generation, we wanted those leads to go directly into the salesforce, which is also possible in mautic. I wrote a simple plugin in mautic to do it.
Use case:
Create campaign on mautic --> create forms and connect them with campaign in mautic --> Define different teams and lead generation emails based on form selection in mautic --> Trigger the events to go the contacts into segments in mautic --> cron job then pushes them to Salesforce for further follow up as leads --> Put the mautic generated forms directly on the website using embed code instead of api connection --> Enjoy the campaign.

What do you like best about the product?

Mautic helped us a lot in the initial days to launch our email campaigns for free with the help of Amazon SES. Mautic has a very good user interface which is easy to understand. Even for a beginner can create forms and landing pages with Mautic.

What do you dislike about the product?

The user experience of Mautic can be a bit better. Their mail delivery and Cron jobs can be much faster, and they should shift to a Node JS platform instead of PHP, which is very much fast and scalable.

In the initial days, we were trying to solve the issue of sending custom emails campaign to our subscribers for free, Platforms like MailChimp where charging too much so mautic was very handy for us on those days.
