Great tool for email mgmt
What do you like best about the product?
Helpful for school admin to know when issues are occurring over email

not really sure, gaggle has met our needs pretty well

Not really problems but it's just helpful to have gaggle in order for us to be able to support students

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful feature is the ability to warn students when they are using inappropriate language automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least beneficial aspect of Gaggle is the number of false positives. If a student reports an incident to a teacher or administrator, Gaggle flags this conversation.

Alerting us to incidents of abuse or self-harm.

human review for self harm cases is very helpful and speeds up the follow up process

Dashboard is a little confusing at times. Sometimes the info given with cases is a little vague.

Provides insight to user accounts that is otherwise usually unseen and would be very time consuming.

What do you like best about the product?
Gaggle is a handy tool for monitoring student activity. The thing I like best about Gaggle is the human monitoring and notifications. If a serious threat to a student is caught, they will make a call to the online contact, even if it is after hours or on the weekend.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much negative to say about Gaggle. If I had to list a negative, I would say price. You pay per student, and it can be pretty expensive. With all of that said, you do get a lot of bang for the buck.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gaggle is helping monitor student activity, so we can address students in need of help, whether it be at home, with another student, with their mental health, etc.
Gaggle is a great tool for student security.

The frequent notifications of student incidents.

The online portal is very hard to navigate.

Nothing. They stay ahead of trends and are proactive with all of our needs.

Their archive retrieval features are easy to use and very powerful.
Quick feedback, easy management, older look
What do you like best about the product?
Live, quick response for monitoring email and Drive. Provides a trustworthy solution for helping keep students accountable and safe. Also acts as an outlet fo students seeking help for themselves or others.
What do you dislike about the product?
The management website is archaic and clunky. It's not always intuitive for administrators to manage things or make changes. But once it's figured out, those changes can be made quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Safety concerns are constantly being monitored and addressed by real people at Gaggle and, again, downstream to our school personnel. It provides a peace of mind to staff, as well as parents.

Their tools are well thought out and intuitive. Customer service is incredible. User interface is easy to use.

They do not monitor traffic and searches.

Gaggle has helped us intervene in student situations that we would not have otherwise been aware of.

Nothing! Gaggle has helped students and administrators to gain a better pulse on our student population and provide more services to students in need.

Gaggle has allowed us to better isolate incidents and complete and track investigations of student concerns and incidents.
The software of safety for K-12 kids to young adults
What do you like best about the product?
One of the nicest things that I have experienced personally is the fact that it is compatible with both Microsoft Office and Google. The reason this is nice is that whenever a student leaves the school district, they can still use this software because it follows them around. As well as permanent files can be placed and left here for future use. Another awesome feature is that it works will all devices. Being able to sign on with my phone when I am on the go, and then on the computer when at work or at home is a beautiful feature to have the ability to use. Another positive side is how secure it is while keeping the classroom workflow that is expected of it. The filtration system when students send stuff to one another is also very amazing. With most software, they would use some sort of machine learning system in order to block the inappropriate content from being sent around which has the possibility of failing because no artificial intelligence system is perfect. With this software, however, a real person helps to filter the inappropriate data which is a very nice feature to even further ensure that it is safe for children to view and use. and even more than that, not only is the materials filtered by actual people, it is done in a 24/7 manner so that even when it's late at night the students cannot send inappropriate material to one another using this system.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little on the pricey side in comparison to other software that is out there. For a smaller school district, they might have more difficulty in buying the software. This can pose some sort of inability for it to be a widespread software. However, with constant monitoring, it is hard to make the software cheaper overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that is being solved using Gaggle in my application was for the safety of high school and middle school students. It helped to provide a safe form of communication across the board.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is an amazing tool, I would highly recommend it if looking for safe software to use in your young adult programs.
