Gaggle is essential for protecting students and staff in a digital world
What do you like best about the product?
I really liked that it even sent reports on the weekends which helped us potentially save a life of a student who was struggling with suicidal thoughts when their parents were not at home.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do think it occasionally flags low level comments as more harmful than they really are but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Students having access to personal devices that may not have the maturity to handle their devices and helping mitigate mental health challenges today's youth are dealing with.
Cumbersome for schools to monitor
What do you like best about the product?
Provides another layer of support for our students.
What do you dislike about the product?
Information flagged is often irrelevant to current situations and causes school staff to spend extensive amount of time on follow-up.

Alerts that come classified as suicide, but the key words are "mental health."

Identifying students with potential problems that we wouldn't necessarily know.
Quality Program for school safety.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the immediate alerts and safety filters that cover all aspects of student computers. It is easy to use and easy to get staff trained.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like how much it costs and sometimes the frequency of alerts can be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has really helped us keep students safe and prevent violence or harm towards students.
Easy way to catch things
What do you like best about the product?
I obviously do not have the time/ability to monitor 500 students on a school device. This is an easy way for me to be notified of concerns. Sure, some of it isn't an actual threat...but I can at lease verify that and then move on quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do think it could catch a little more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Screening students work to catch all types of issues.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the help with monitoring our children's online history. It has helped nip many incidents in the bud before they develop into major happenings.

At this time, there isn't anything I dislike about Gaggle

Student monitoring to prevent bullying, self-harm, and overall mischief.
Gaggle Assists in Identifying Students In Need
What do you like best about the product?
Gaggle provides immediate updates when students write about self-harm, suicidal ideation, intent to harm others, or use of weapons. This assists the counseling and administrative department in determining level of threat and appropriate next actions steps.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no differention in Gaggle when discerning between creative writing and cry for help when it comes to conversations regarding suicide or self-harm.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identifying students in of a threat assessment.
Gaggle saved us from a major, public email catastrophe!
What do you like best about the product?
Gaggle intercepts all things! It has provided us an opportunity to support students at-risk, in danger, in need of help, and in so many other ways. It has allowed us to teach students about their electronic footprint and how impactful their words, via media, can be. Additionally, Gaggle has allowed us to provide meaningful consequences for poor behavior choices that support learning and growing.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is sometimes difficult to read/access the flagged items.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gaggle is helping us to protect children! This product benefits me and my staff because we are able to see students' missteps and provide them with direction on their behavior choices.
I like seeing the notifications when gaggle find something. It makes me feel that it's working.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that there is someone out there watching over us. And hopefully, making sure that our school is safe from cyber bullies and keeping an eye on inappropriate materials.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish as a teacher, I can keep an eye to what the students are doing, exploring the internet vs. actually doing assignments.

It helps us be more aware of inappropriate activities students are involved in that may be detrimental to them or others.
Gaggle - Indispensable Student Safety Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Gaggle scans students' emails, searches, documents for key words and phrases and then alerts us if a student is in danger of self harm or harming other students. It is such an important tool for our school! It seems simple to implement and to my knowledge we have never had an issue with it!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing right now, we don't even have to think about it until it alerts us that we need to investigate something.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gaggle monitors student email and documents to ensure they are safe. It helps us identify students that are at risk so that we can provide them with the support they need!
