Gaggle
What do you like best about the product?
That it flags and notifies administrators if students are in danger (suicidal, etc).this year we also have an in crease in incidents because of products like chat gtp.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is too sensitive in its filters but I understand why. If it was not then we as a a school could miss identifying students who are in crisis.I also wish it could flag key strokes and google searches.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
School safety- it assures parents and families that we take internet safety into consideration, even as a blended learning school. This has helped us to gain trust with mini constituents.
Gaggle edoes a great job filtering student generated content
What do you like best about the product?
Gaggle integrates into our Google suite here in our district. They monitor student-generated content such as documents and emails and do a great job sifting through and blocking inappropriate content and communications. My favorite feature is the human content vetting component when a person on Gaggles team looks at flagged content and in severe cases contacts the relevant staff at the school to handle the incident. Through Gaggle we have been able to identify bullying and self-harm messages and work through those issues with our internal counselor and psychologist. Gaggle will also forward relevant emails to our SRO in case of emergencies.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not yet run into any severe product flaws. There has not been an obvious issue that has been missed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Although not in any way limited to our school bullying, drugs, threats of violence, and self-harm do occur. Digital note-passing and bullying were previously very difficult to catch and prevent. Gaggle has helped greatly reduce the amount of inappropriate digital content being shared in the school. It has also allowed us to address threats of violence and identify students who are struggling emotionally.
Great for Google Workspace Backups
What do you like best about the product?
Gaggle provides us with the ablity to backup our Google data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The management of accounts can be cumbersome.

The ability to back up data and archive data from Google Workspace.

I like being notified when students use keywords that should be addressed at school.

Sometimes the amount of Gaggle notifications you get in a day can be overwhelming.

It has allowed us to address issues before they become big issues. Early intervention is key.

What do you like best about the product?
Gaggle is reliable with its alerts. We had tested another solution for a year and didn't realize how many false positives could exist. Minimizing false positives ensures that the alerts received are credible.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve for school staff. Gaggle provides the tools needed to drill down on student activity at the school level, but school admins have expressed that the time it takes to learn the product is greater than they expect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gaggle helps us gain insight into possible threats early on before the situation can get out of control. The early alerts are useful to ensure student safety is a priority.

What do you like best about the product?
Gaggle's thorough performance on reviewing GSuite docs/items and email for all facets of student safety provides great assurance that our student's are being looked after, their ability to triage items on severity sets them apart from other products. Their customer support - like Kari - are also incredible
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Gaggle would provide an internet filter, this is the only thing missing from their product to make it a one stop shop - I trust their AI much more than other companies and would love to have a single product for internet safety
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gaggle solves our 24/7 issue with student safety, previously calls would not be answered efficiently off hours - additionally it provides a "rating" issue our previous product had - where severe alerts would sometimes be marked no severe, and unimportant 'false' reports would be flagged too severe
Gaggle content monitoring has been very helpful
What do you like best about the product?
The Gaggle content monitoring service for our student email accounts has alerted us to student issues not always visible in the school setting.
What do you dislike about the product?
We miss the school-specific Gaggle email platform.

Gaggle provides alerts to school administrators when specific content is flagged in monitored student email accounts.
Great for small schools!
What do you like best about the product?
Gaggle is the perfect support for small schools. There is little oversight that has to come from admin. It is much more efficient to respond to Gaggle notices than monitor student computers.

Everything works well on Gaggle! I wish there was more

Gaggle helps us daily by identifying issues with students that we might otherwise miss, not only in discipline but also in student mental health.

As a public school, cost is always an issue. Due to cost, we are unable to adopt the entire Gaggle suite of services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A quick identification of students that use Google products for inappropriate purposes or indication of self-harm has been invaluable.
