What do you like best about the product?
Full ALM solution that is intuitive, with many integration options, and an open API that is relatively simple to support internal tool integration. Spira tool has enabled our company to exhibit best practices while integrating and leveraging existing automotive industry standard test tools to leverage a professional solution. Competitor solutions are often non-intuitive and require conflicting integrations for a full life cycle solution or are closed solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited company logo labeling resulting in looking like a 3rd party solution. Ideally, the company logos can be added to make it look like a permanent harmonious solution for the company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Program solutions that allow for system products to be managed projects separately but as part of a broader integrated program allowing for complex projects to be managed separately but with a cohesive production process.

What do you like best about the product?
SpiraPlan has been helpful to my customers and my customers always renewal their support. Spiraplan helps my customers plan, track, audits, compliance, and automated testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment I do not have any dislikes with SpiraPlan and neither have my customers. From the reseller point of view, Inflectra is quick a quoting and great with invoicing. On the customer side, I have not received any complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SpiraPlan is benefiting my customers by keeping everything organized with personalized dashboards, real-time charts and customizable reports. It has also increased customer performance.

A very good ALM-Tool

What do you like best about the product?
SpiraPlan is an ALM tool that has a very wide range of functions but is also intuitive to use. The various artefacts such as requirements, tasks, test cases, etc. are very well designed and can be configured in an understandable way according to the customer's needs (e.g. via workflows and the definition of additional attributes).
In addition, not only one specific process model (e.g. Scrum, Waterfall) is supported, but instead the flexibility makes it possible to map different process models and also hybrid models in SpiraPlan.
In my view, the simple and transparent licensing model should also be emphasised: it is based on "concurred users". In addition, there are no role-based licences, which makes the calculation much easier from the customer's point of view.
Finally, I would like to emphasise the support provided by the manufacturer Inflectra. On the one hand, the support is included in the licence costs and on the other hand, it is excellent. The response times and the quality of the feedback from the support is consistently good.
What do you dislike about the product?
No ALM tool is perfect. With SpiraPlan, I still see the most potential for optimisation in risk management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The customer situation I have encountered in recent years is typically that the functionality of an ALM tool is used or should be used step by step by the customers. Typically, the existing processes for test and incident management are implemented in SpiraPlan first and then other processes, e.g. requirements management or risk management, are implemented step by step. The simple concepts in SpiraPlan make it possible to implement theses processes step by step.

Nothing. Spira Plan is the perfect and a one-stop package

What do you like best about the product?
One of the best project management tools, which helps in supporting all our time-bound client projects in Quality Assurance and End to End Testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
In-depth customization of reports and dashboards is not possible. We would love to have this as a drag and drop feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We extensively use project planning and scheduling, Status tracking, Task progress tracking, Testing and Quality assurance with workflow management. Gantt chart is so helpful for resource planning and engagement review at intervals. Milestone tracking helps in getting us running against the closure.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Delete comments attached to a requirement derived from an incident is not possible
- Tracing changes of requirements does not include line breaks and highlighting
- No swim lanes on boards
- It is not possible to filter requirements and collapse the hierarchy at the same time
- Using CTRL on a requirement title is treated as a change which implies disturbing security questions
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about the product?
The most valuable part of the Spira tool is how it associates artifacts with each other and provides high visibility and tracking. You can have releases, requirements, test cases, test case runs, incidents and documents all associated to each other, allowing quick access to any related items. This makes it significantly easier for users to find what they are looking for, especially those who might be new to the tool and are learning.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations to the amount you can customize the tool, though that does not necessarily mean it is a point of concern. We can mostly work within the confines of the tool or redefine what already exists to our benefit. There are even times when Inflectra's support team can help with customization that we cannot do at a user level. While I feel the level of customization can improve, it is not a concern that would dissuade me from recommending this tool to groups that are looking for a new program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary issues we had were in relation to the association of artifacts. By using Spira, we are now able to have a multi-level association between each of the artifacts in a project, giving a much easier route for reporting and high level overviews.

What do you like best about the product?
Requirements, releases, test cases, test results, tasks, bugs/issue tracking all in one spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price has increased over the years which can be expected as the tool has progressed (new functionality) but it is something to be aware of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As our team grew larger, we needed a single source for tracking our product from start to finish in the application lifecycle. For us, SpiraPlan provided that answer.

What do you like best about the product?
Comprehensive toolset covers everything that is needed for requirement and test case management. Combined with Taravault, or other supported git providers, it allows a one stop shop for almost my entire SDLC process.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn't as prevalent as alternatives like Jira, so sometimes integration with other tools/systems is harder, requires workarounds, or just not possible. This increases the amount of manual work or for you to 'roll your own' solution to the problem
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows for my requirements, test cases and reporting on the projects to all be done from the same system. This allows for a more unified view of the SDLC process, thereby increasing efficiency and efficacy.
