AWS Cost Savings and WAR report
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use to work with both product and the team. Support was very responsive, and we got a lot out of nOps. I will definitely recommend nOps to others from basic auditing to detailed WAR report.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you have multiple AWS accounts, make sure nOps scans all the sub accounts and the final report is comprehensive report of all your accounts. Just few extra steps needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost savings; we had to review and bring the cost down at the same time we wanted to have 3rd party scan our accounts for basic auditing and create a comprehensive WAR report.

WAFR Reports are very detailed to understand your AWS Usage
What do you like best about the product?
We stumbled across nOps through the AWS partner program, and they were great in letting us know how we can use our AWS more efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?
We really like both the governance (e.g. detecting misconfigurations and best practices) and cost management (e.g. why does CloudTrail cost more this month) aspects.
They keep add new services and improving their overall service. A real pleasure to work with.

What do you dislike about the product?
The worst part about nOps is that is is really good at surfacing issues across all accounts -- which means that the team backlog of things to fix can get full quite fast.
It would also be really nice to have a tool to bulk select and annotate or exclude resources from anaysis.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned, the main areas are governance and cost management. Both of these are important so we can control our cloud spend -- it is easy for this to run out-of-control in the cloud -- and keep a solid security posture. I've also found the tools for managing the Well-Architected Framework are really nice and much easier to use than the AWS-provided tool. Be aware that this creates reports in us-west-2, so if you do your WAFR somewhere else, you will need to export / import previous answers to save time.
Saved us 34% within a month and continuous savings on AWS for more than a year!
What do you like best about the product?
Did I say FREE finops platform! Most of the cloud mgmt platforms we tried before are like cloud tax. They charge you regardless if they optimize spend or not. nOps only charges based on the saving so Incentives are totally aligned. We were able to reduce our AWS cost by 34% within a month. It’s no brainer if you are running AWS, you should definitely leverage nOps.

slack notif needs tuning. everything else works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No need to hire a team of devOps personnels to proactively manage our AWS farm. Pricing much better than anyone else out there!

What do you like best about the product?
Really like the way you can just include exclude with the menu on the left what you want to see. No building a report just filter in or out!

Recommendation engine is just the AWS suggestions.

Effective insights into our AWS infrastructure
We have recently started using nOps to get insight into our AWS infrastructure as part of updating our Well-Architected Review process with AWS. We've found the tools in nOps are easily able to find resources that are unused (particularly important in the development environment) and can show us where we can improve our posture related to the WAR.
As a company, we found nOps really easy and quick to work with, and setting the integration up was a snap.

Nops is an excellent tool. It helped us a lot to discover through its continuous monitoring how to adhere to the well-architected framework. With an excellent interface that makes it easy to adopt security, cost, and compliance standards.

What do you like best about the product?
nOps is really intuitive and highly effective at helping you to quickly identify bleed-points in AWS where costs are accruing that the built-in AWS reporting completely obscures (especially in the "Other" categories).
What do you dislike about the product?
You should set aside some time to really dig in and discover the sort of data nOps can expose. While a lot of it is immediately obvious, there's a lot of deeper functionality that can take some time and practice to surface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After a first analysis using nOps, I found 15% in AWS cost savings. With the details that nOps uncovered, we realized that 99.7% of unexplained costs were caused by unattached Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) volumes, of which most were 8GB Linux-based installs.
To remediate these high costs, we then moved orphaned projects to Amazon S3 Glacier for low-cost archiving and removed eight workloads that were zombie instances.
None of this was visible using the stock AWS reporting.

Perfect for WAR's and Ongoing Observability
What do you like best about the product?
nOps accelerates the delivery of a WAFR. We can utilize less experienced Solution Architects and deliver a higher quality, consistent, and accelerated service. Having a single pane of glass for a WAFR, organized like a WAFR should be, and an ongoing observability platform for remediation checks all the boxes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much to dislike. It onboards easily, captures the necessary insights, and presents results cleanly. There are minor features that are constantly improving, and nOps works hard to incorporate customer feedback into their rapid release cycle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a Well-Architected Framework Review partner, iOLAP needs to deliver a consistent offering to its customers. nOps allows us to execute a WAFR quickly, and our customers often choose to continue utilizing nOps afterward. We also use nOps on our internal use environments to ensure ongoing adherence to best practices. Finally, our managed services teams love the insights that nOps provides for the environments that they administer.
