Sales Forces provide a good platform for manage my work as site selection specialist, with great space for data base and an interface easy to use.

Ease of pulling up accounts with just account number.
Chatter functionality is very helpful in reaching a large group with a quick hit

Once you hide a tab or section (like your feed), it doesn't stay hidden. You have to red-do it every time you go back to that section.

Per the reps I support, they can house all info about an account in one place.

It provides a case management platform for users to submit issues as well as analysts to post documentation on uses.
What do you dislike about the product?
Going from parent cases to child cases can become confusing when assigning child cases to different units. Reporting on cases and hierarchy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Case management across admission, marketing and operations. Prioritization of cases based on established priority list.

That is not always a good thing. When trying to be consistent as a company, there are several ways to do one thing which is not consistent.

We track sales, potential customers and new customers. It keeps all the information in one place.

We use this as our main hub to hold all project information.

Some menus are not easy to find and easy for things to become ‘lost’.

Now there is a more central way to have project information stored.

It does everything. And if it doesn’t, it can probably be customized to do it.

Team collaboration and database consolidation
Salesforce helps us collaborate in a way that we weren't capable of before.
What do you like best about the product?
Salesforce, out of the box, offers many features that would fit the standard needs of any business. The really great thing about the platform is that ability to customize, create, and automated. We have created numerous custom objects along with hundred of workflows that automated previously, very manual processes. We have built the system around our internal processes to best serve us, which in turn allows us to better serve both our internal and our external customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Salesforce offers us a great tool to use, their pricing structure is hard to overcome for the SMB market. The pricing alone, I would assume, would drive many customers away. That and their 7% annual pricing increase is very off-putting when considering such a package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very easily answered, communication. Since we adopted the Salesforce platform, our collaboration has changed in a way that we had never seen before. Salesforce, through customization of our own, has enabled us to not only communicate better but to be more organization, more efficient, and have easily access data for analytics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Salesforce is a great choice to consider if you're looking for an enterprise CRM system that can be customized to be a full ERP system. Through customization, Salesforce has great potential. Should you not have the staff able to make such customizations, Salesforce is so widely adopted that there are numerous developers for the platform available for hire. Salesforce developers are able to take the base system from which you are delivered and transform it into a system based upon your needs.

What do you like best about the product?
This program is pretty simple to use once you get going but it creates an atmosphere to record information for the whole company.
What do you dislike about the product?
This program does alot of updates that change the interface making it difficult to keep up with. Commonly my permissions are changed unknowingly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this program all through the company and are able to create documented information for anyone in our company to see.
