My 2 year with camunda bpm

What do you like best about the product?
I liked the descriptive logs and customized process design, integration with my ssis jobs,are customized crm was easily able to identify the response and hence workflow management became smooth.Also swagger integration with camunda is very sleek.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes its slow and i used it with swagger and response was great but cant say the same about other api dev env.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were working for task generation process based on available data for etl environment and found the with basic knowledge for sql and apis a very flexible system can be built
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand the product and its requirements and application will be easy to build

Best Workflow BPM tool for Spring Based Technology

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of Camunda is its fully customizable and comes with a default H2 database to save all the instances and data. It also got features like- Automatic Retries, Incident Handling, Error Handling, REST- enabled API to call the workflow using client side and can be integrated with Angular UI. Its very easy to create and manage wokflows and Modeler is very user interactive. Best suited if you have Java based Spring framework as your core architecture.
What do you dislike about the product?
Incident Handler can be little improved and custom handler will be one of the best feature which they need to introduce in future releases. Camunda community is growing and i noticed a lot of time we don't hear back from them on any issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unified Communications was having different levels of asynchronous tasks which we wanted to replace with Camunda BPMN tool so that most of the tasks can be automated and all time taking processes can be handled in the asynchronous way.

Fewer knowledge base documents.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were in need of a service orchestrator that will process some request to our next microservice when earlier get completed. Camunda BPM provided the BPM in which we designed our process and it was easy to integrate with our existing microservice architecture.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Must have tool if you are looking for a service orchestrator.

Best Workflow Engine

What do you like best about the product?
Setting up the variables in the workflow. Easy set up with Spring Boot Application. Report Generation using pre available APIs. As a tech writer i used it for multiple purposes. Also code snippets provided at Camunda website is really helpful and meaningful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It will be Good if discussion forums can be expanded. There is lack of technical support. But if we compare it with other BPM engine provided by IBM, camunda bpm engine is easy to use and integrate with business problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solved The Inter state GRN process for a famous jewelry brand.
One of the great benefit of using Camunda BPM engine is the report generation and centralized data available in a flow chart view.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are planning for a small process management tool go for Camunda bpm engine due to less manual work and offered functionality.

What do you like best about the product?
I used this camunda bpmn in my project ss Registration workflow.it quite flexible and robust technology to use automation.Camunda have all the api docs with example available so its easy to customize your business needs.i faced lots of challenges to customized our needs ,camunda forum and their documents help to adopt their functionility to use.its very good in todays business application to manage workflow with minimum coding and complexity.
Camunda forum is quite helpful to interact with camunda team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I believe it should have more docs to integrate with various databases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its easy to integrate with own application via rest api with camunda engine service
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check your needs with camunda community version if suits go for enterprise version.

What do you like best about the product?
Asynchronous functionality of Camunda and different types of gateways.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not support Java LocalDate as of now, fails in de serialization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are automating the orchestration between our workers currently which are microservices written using Java spring boot

Go for it, it is the best BPM tool in the market

Camunda for handling complex logic inside a multi 3rd party application

What do you like best about the product?
handling of tasks and the put of box functionalities for retrial and error handling. It also provide modeler which has all capabilities to handle business logic
What do you dislike about the product?
database size gets enormous when you start using application in production. also, there is no data backup, cleanup policies setup. You have built your own cleanup policies
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
implementing business logic which involve interacting with multiple 3rd party systems. Camunda has benefited me to implement transaction management which involves rollback when you are interacting with different vendors
Recommendations to others considering the product:
implement a solution which handles each and every flow, take a good look in your application where exactly you can benefit from BPMN

By using Camunda as our Workflow platform, we designed and automated most of the processes which otherwise would require a lot of dev work. They provide more visibility, business activity monitoring and out of the box solutions to not only to create, but also to deploy, execute and monitor workflows and decision engines.
Camunda has consistently tried to upgrade their offerings which has made them quite popular in the open source BPM solutions space.
Their latest cloud offerings are seen as a Game changer in this space.
What do you dislike about the product?
May be Performance degradation for high volume workflow instances.
Camunda has complicated fault tolerance.
Storing process state in RDBMS causing limitations on scaling.
Not to forget, the complications involved in asynchronous service invocations and fault tolerance only added to its problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides a solution for monitoring of the workflow and microservice orchestration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I really want to recommend this product even though there are lots of other alternatives in the market.
