Awesome Experience in using Camunda BPM with Javascript Microservice Architecture
What do you like best about the product?
I like the most is capability to integrate it with node.js back-end systems and it allows with no cost and being open-source.
What do you dislike about the product?
there is lack of guidance or resources available for node.js integrations and stuff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
main concern for me to use camunda was introducing a robust roll-back functionality and maintain complex micros-service communications between multiple services.

Implemented a approval task workflow using Camunda.
What do you like best about the product?
Before Camunda, I have used oracle BPM, Omniflow BPM tools. Having bit of previous experience, for sure, it's easy to compare the features. I liked the following features in Camunda.
1. Usability - easy
2. Learning curve- bit of java background is required.
3. Implementation- Neat & clean modularizing approach makes the implementation clear.
4. Examples: Not abundance of example on internet. however, there are few examples shipped with setup.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We implemented a workflow to approve the incoming requests. it required users at various levels to be configured and complex logic to route tasks.
It's easy to use and more efficient
What do you like best about the product?
Modeler and API documentation are best in camunda.
What do you dislike about the product?
Poor communityand technical support for modeling and best practices
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow management in my project
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Alot of recommendation that I can provide for camunda to implement workflow
Best tool for Automation Workflow System.
What do you like best about the product?
The Best thing is about Camunda is that workflow automation and it really works well. Also, Premium features are providing amazing functionality. The most I like is Rest endpoint so by using endpoint you can do any operation on current workflow in your system.
Also, it is supporting multitenancy so we can divide it with a different type of user. A nice feature of dynamic damping.

What do you dislike about the product?
Camunda has always dependency on any of the relational database. That means without a database it will not work. If I talk about performance-wise so calling to the endpoint is https base means it's not gRPC call so always performance is the issue in Camunda.
Now a day's Zeebe is more famous than Camunda.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
sometimes I'm getting: ENGINE-20009 Exception while completing subprocess of execution ProcessInstance
because of let's said some job is running more than 20 min and before finish Camunda is throwing above error. Lots of instability on database side also.

It's quite easy to learn and light weight.
What do you like best about the product?

2. It's extensive support for Java
3. Cockpit is really nice and easy to get insights

What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe I wouldn't have explored that much but I think like IBM BPM it is missing the pre-built UI components on basis of Input/Output data and also missing reusable customized toolkit features
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Cumunda as an Orchestrator in Microservice Architecture.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are having expertise in Java development and looking for an Orchestrator in Microservice architecture to manage your business process then Camunda will be a good choice.
Construction usage experience
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to change existing processes and create new ones. A rich field for future modifications, because our BI Group company is one of the biggest construction companies on the local market and business needs change pretty often. For example, several weeks ago our divisions have been changed (some of them united, other had split into parts), and we urgently had to change our business logic. And all that we had to do is changing business roles in Camunda to fit new needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pretty high entry threshold, it is easier to learn from someone on an existing project than learning alone. At least for juniors and maybe middles.
Sometimes you're not comfortable with Camunda's database, because it requires making a lot of joins to find a piece of information you need.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Camunda in modeling construction business processes (road construction, civil engineering, and office) such as materials supply, works, and document acceptance, etc. Shortly speaking it fits almost every process on construction site and office. Pretty easy to integrate with other services: telegram, mailing, backend, frontend...
In almost every business process we have to notify our users: a next assignee has to know that he has a new task, an initiator must be notified that his request had been approved, other members or users like chiefs and technical supervisors must know exactly where the process stuck, whether it is finished or not.
Besides, we have made integration between Camunda and Metabase so that we have beautiful graphs of our processes, dashboards for supervisors, etc.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try to find out someone who is already using it.
Great tool to kick start with !
What do you like best about the product?
Less code, more design, which is easy for all. Configuration based so that it can be easily used for plug and play type of situations. It seems lightweight to start with, on local machine. Requires less dependency. Integrates with languages such as Java along with complex frameworks like Spring Boot as I have experienced.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not see introductory videos on website. The videos I watched were presented by someone else. Visuals like screenshots, animations on the website could improve a lot.
Also a chat bot integration for answering very basic questions about how to use a particular icon such as gateway, tasks. I was also unable to find content which I can efficiently put up in the properties panel on the right once after clicking a task (Camunda Modeler). Explanation of all the labels like ID, name, Input/Output tabs can be highlighted more transparently.
Navigation and explanation of error messages along with an intelligent data analytics (which might require user content for sending the same) could be one suggestion

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating business flows which call underlying programs rather than manually handling it by code which becomes tiresome. Also it avoids redundant code which might be used for example calling an external service. Allows for configuration which can be customized as per business needs and your industry.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A nice tool with simple User interface to start and implement your business process. Do more by designing rather than writing. Takes half day to understand, install, setup and have a walk through of Camunda server and Modeler.
Website has some detailed explanation of flow diagrams, icons and objects used as part of the modeler.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the way it handles the correlation and the message exchange among services, I used it along with Kotlin and Kafka.
The UI editor is the blast
The UI editor is the blast
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes documentation a little bit, the videos available are not enough, real-time support would be awesome
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The correlation messages were great among microservices

Take a look at this :)
Camunda
What do you like best about the product?
Its ability to interpret BPMN models with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not have a very powerful North bound interface to interact with the Service Layer.
