What do you like best about the product?
Have used TeamCenter across my career at multiple companies for various industries. The best feature is the single source of truth and engineering data to drive collaboration and data driven decision making.
What do you dislike about the product?
Speed can get slow on larger deployments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New and Exxisting Program development for production system configuration management and planning.
TeamCenter BMIDE file copy automation
What do you like best about the product?
Configurability and customization options available of/for the application
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently developers have to manually copy BMIDE files to different environments that will need it - for multiple programs, for example. After copying, developers must update the file names and file paths in the contents. This process is manual, tedious, lengthy and error -prone.
It would be great if the file copying process for these files can be automated for each environment. Something that will make it easier for the developers to replicate these to reduce manual data entry will save time and increase SW quality.

What do you like best about the product?
Sharing of data and workload automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's nothing to do with Siemens more with our end of IT. Teamcenter does everything it's supposed to. There are a number of Features that we use in the testbed on a daily basis and it was very easy to integrate into our system. We also have had EXCELLENT technical support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It offers us the ability to track all products we develop from Concept to Completion and share the workload seamlessly between colleagues and departments.

What do you like best about the product?
being able to quickly track and share CAD data. Ease of use once you understand it, and how straight forward most things are.
What do you dislike about the product?
load time, can be clunky when switching between structure manager, projects tab, and the org viewer. Refresh issues seem to come up a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamcenter tracks or CAD data data and BOM's. It makes it easy to access the data and share it when needed. Also having the option to baseline or hard release data to track gates is very useful.

One stop shop for locating, retrieving, visualizing data

some features are not intuitive in AWC and there is some overlap with session files and snapshots that can be confusing

Visualizing data on laptops using lightweight data vs cumbersome prt files...allows for our users to do some interrogations and markups without using NX
