Intuitive UI and Responsive Support, but Rule Testing and Customization Need Work
Reviewed on May 19, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
The best things about SEON are its UI and its support. I've been pleasantly surprised each time I reach out to their support team; they consistently address my issues right away and provide a clear solution or timeline. Its UI is highly intuitive and aesthetically pleasing, which makes navigating the platform a breeze.
While I don't have direct access to its pricing or integrations in my current role, the overall platform performance is very reliable. My favorite feature by far is the automated sanctions list screening. Having an intelligent, automated system flag matches for us in the background eliminates manual checks and saves our team hours of work each week

What do you dislike about the product?
While SEON is a solid platform, it has a few shortcomings that I'd love to see addressed in future updates:
Limitations in Rule Backtesting: SEON allows you to backtest rules against historical data, which is great, but this feature does not support velocity logic. While I understand the technical complexity behind this, it feels like a missing core feature for a platform where the primary clientele relies heavily on fraud monitoring and rule building.
UI Customization: The platform could benefit greatly from more user-level customization. I would love to see a dark mode, as well as more flexible data layouts for easier analysis. The current panels are a good start, but I wish we could customize the layout within the panels themselves., especially regarding our custom fields. The ability to pin a dedicated column for a specific custom field would be a huge plus in the transaction or alert page.
Data Organization & Readability: It would be incredibly helpful to add descriptions or tooltips to custom fields. This would serve as a great internal reference and ensure all our teams are aligned on what each field means. Additionally, the UI for lists can become cluttered; displaying all the different values crammed into a single list makes it difficult to read and manage.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SEON is solving three major issues for our team:
Agile Rule Building: While we can build rules natively on our own platform, doing so requires developer involvement, significant time, and navigating technical hurdles. SEON allows us to create both simple and complex rules using various data types quickly and efficiently. Once you learn the system, it completely solves the bottleneck of needing to deploy rules rapidly in response to emerging threats.
Automated Sanctions Screening: Having a platform with built-in sanctions and PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) list screening solves the highly difficult problem of having to source and integrate a third-party tool ourselves.
Out-of-the-Box Scoring System: SEON provides a reliable scoring system and grading scale right out of the gate. Having the ability to easily route decisions—like choosing between 'review' and 'decline' based on a solid scoring mechanism—saves us the massive headache of having to engineer our own logic from scratch.

Powerful, Mature Anti‑Fraud Platform with Flexible, Cost‑Effective Screening
Reviewed on Apr 28, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
SEON provides a broad and powerful anti‑fraud platform, allowing users to consolidate all relevant data in one place and efficiently analyse behavioural patterns triggered through alerts. It is a strong and mature fraud‑prevention solution. The screening functionality is also highly flexible and cost‑effective, covering PEP, sanctions, watchlists, and crime databases.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, the Adverse Media module is significantly more expensive, primarily because SEON relies on an external third‑party provider to deliver this specific dataset.

In my case, it’s their flexibility—and, of course, the software itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
In our case, we can’t track all transactions. When that isn’t possible, it leads to a lot of manual review.

SEON Delivers Clear Visibility and Flexible, Unified Fraud Decisioning
Reviewed on Mar 24, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
We implemented SEON as part of a broader effort to modernise our fraud stack and move away from fragmented, reactive decisioning. What stood out quickly was the level of visibility and control it provides. The platform brings together device, identity, and behavioural signals in a way that makes it much easier to understand risk rather than just act on a score.
From an operational perspective, the flexibility of the rule engine has been a major advantage. It allows us to design decisioning that reflects our business model rather than relying on one size fits all thresholds. This has been particularly valuable in enabling more nuanced customer journeys, where we can treat low risk customers differently from higher risk ones without introducing unnecessary friction.
We have also seen benefits in terms of consolidation. Moving towards a more unified decision layer has reduced internal ambiguity and improved confidence in our decisions across fraud, payments, and operations teams.

What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is very flexible, which is a strength, but it also means it requires a clear internal strategy and ongoing calibration to get the most value from it. Teams expecting a fully plug and play solution may find there is a learning curve in designing and maintaining effective rules.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SEON is solving the problem of fragmented and inconsistent fraud decisioning. By bringing together multiple risk signals into one place, it gives us better visibility and control, which has improved decision quality, reduced ambiguity, and helped us balance fraud prevention with conversion.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that SEON has a friendly and understandable interface. Additionally, it provides valuable information that helps analysts in the manual review process and improves the speed and accuracy of the annual prediction analysis. I also found that the initial setup was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only difficulty we have with SEON is more at the business level, where the prices prevent us from scaling its use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SEON provides valuable information that assists analysts in decision-making, improving speed and accuracy in analyses, especially in the manual review process.

SEON - A pleasure in the workforce
Reviewed on Mar 02, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that SEON is extremely user-friendly and that people with no proper experience are able to adjust quickly and learn the intricacies of the platform. The rule building and implementation is easy and straightforward. Lastly, as someone who uses it constantly, there are many things that make my day to day use a pleasure.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, it was difficult to find a way to limit the amount of rule triggers for accounts that have already been reviewed but we are actively working with their team to resolve this, however, it is still a cluster of alerts at times but should be resolved soon. Their support team is very helpful with the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multi-accounting, pattering and in general it is a great rule engine and allows us to work and monitor our customers closely and prevent any type of fraud.
