Powerful, Connected Insights for Savings, Inventory, and Workflow
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is very powerful, and I like how all the data is connected to provide meaningful insights into savings potential, existing inventory, and workflow management. The actionable items and detailed analysis are especially helpful for engineers.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, there is limited information about commitment management on the platform, and the dataset needed to create automatic reports on realized savings is missing. This makes it feel a bit less like a complete package for managing FinOps at scale.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It addresses the need for a single source of truth across all the data points required to make informed decisions about cloud savings realization, while also helping govern the optimization implementation process.

What do you like best about the product?
Cost savings by glancing through the dashboard
What do you dislike about the product?
Filtering UI and UX could be better, additionally, you cannot control how reccommendations are generated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost optimisation opportunities are presented with very good UI with glanceable comprehension.
Makes Saving Money Fun
What do you like best about the product?
PointFive truly reduces the time it takes to investigate savings. For each item there's a diagnosis followed by a remediation workflow. No longer do I need to spend a ton of time researching savings as they've already done it for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like there's an opportunity to gamify savings a bit more i.e like a "company savings leaderboard" and then work with your customer to actually offer rewards beyond the reward of saving a ton of money!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With all the services AWS offers now it's impossible to sit down and find savings across every single service. PointFive does this automatically and will show me savings I never would have thought to review.
Empowers Cost Visibility, Needs UI Polish
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that PointFive has worked with us directly to solve the problems we have. They've been very receptive to our feedback on user experience and the needs we have as a large enterprise. I value the datasets they have exposed to us the most, as we can build robust tools in-house and display data in ways that matter to us. This saves us both time and money since we don't have to host or maintain the database, allowing us to focus on delivering exactly what our teams need. I also like the extra data breakdowns that PointFive provides.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the UI functionality could be improved. There are aspects that lack some polishing for a more intuitive experience. Filtering is a big one; it's difficult to search and opt in or out of filter options on the reporting screens. Also, building reports yourself can be cumbersome. I would love to see a text to auto dashboard creator type of interaction for the custom dashboard feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use PointFive for cost opportunity and anomaly tracking, which helps us track runaway costs. The datasets are invaluable for custom dashboarding, saving time and money by not maintaining databases, letting us focus on what teams need.
Point 5 Makes Cloud Cost Savings Simple
What do you like best about the product?
Saving money in the cloud isn’t simple—at least, it wasn’t for me until I started using Point 5. I now use it a few times a week, especially when we’re downgrading infrastructure to help the company save money.

The poweruser query language can be a bit fiddly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In several teams we have gone through cost saving excercises, point 5 puts simple processes around this to help poke and make standard users super charge the money saving process
Actionable FinOps Insights That Save Engineers Time
What do you like best about the product?
PointFive does the important data analytics of financial ops behind the scenes and distills their findings down into actionable insights. As a result, Engineers can spend more time resolving cost savings opportunities and less time doing data analytics to try and find the opportunities in the first place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Downsides are limited in comparison to other FinOps tools. They have fundamentally redefined the category and have become the new benchmark by which I evaluate all other tools in comparison.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PointFive helps us manage the costs of our entire cloud infrastructure estate while relentlessly identifying opportunities to reduce our spend across it. We have generated substantial reductions in cloud costs as a result
Great Workflow Tool for Managing Opportunities
What do you like best about the product?
The workflow is a decent way to stay on top of all of the opportunities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is sometimes a little confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides a more convenient way to get at this data than the built in tools Azure provides. This lowers the bar for everyone to participate.
Effortless Savings Insights with Detailed, Actionable Recommendations
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciated the ease of seeing our missed savings opportunities at one glance, and in a platform that let me quickly categorize and asses. Perhaps the best feature is the detailed information provided for each recommendation. Our infrastructure team can quickly take those details and either act with confidence or have what they need to start a research effort on the more complex changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, not having the ability to provide some granular limitations on what families of SKUs should be recommended. Unfortunately, provider quota or technical limitations sometimes prevent us from moving to the ideal resource family. I do know PointFive is working to add that in the future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PointFive helps us keep our cloud hosting costs under control, saving us six figures in cost every year.
Fast-moving platform with great AI integration
What do you like best about the product?
PointFive has been easy to administer and integrates smoothly with our systems. Their pace of new feature releases is impressive, and the recent AI-driven capabilities have been genuinely useful — they’ve helped reduce manual effort and improve visibility. The platform feels modern and reliable, and their support team is consistently responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if PointFive could connect automatically with GitHub Copilot or similar tools so that AI-generated recommendations could create PRs directly. That would make automation loops even faster, especially when running infrastructure code like Terraform. Some configuration screens could also be more intuitive, but overall usability is strong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PointFive helps us streamline how we manage and monitor infrastructure changes, making it easier to identify issues early and automate remediation. Their AI-driven insights speed up our response times and reduce hours of research during incidents. It’s helped our SRE team move faster and focus more on higher-value work instead of deep manual investigations.

What do you like best about the product?
PointFive delivers cloud agnostics recommendations for resource optimization combined with detailed analytics and figures which are needed for the assessment of these cost optimization opportunities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user group management in PointFive would probably benefit from additional layers & roles for big enterprises to make the administration easier.

PointFive provides very insightful usage optimizations for our product teams.
