What do you dislike about the product?
A little expensive, customer support can be better (eg. can have a more experienced support team)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Because i am a consultant, hence I help clients to implement Anaplan to solve multiple problems, but the top threes are Financial planning (with workforce), Supply planning and Sales planning. Due to the fact that Anaplan is a very flexible platform, it can handle most of the planning use cases, with in-depth what-if analysis and senario planning.

Initial implementation with an experienced partner is a must to ensure success and future scalability. Level of flexibility allowed in Anaplan can cause scalability issues if not designed well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan is allowing us to level up our compensation workflow from a manual process to a more standardized process. We are able to establish our compensation policies into Anaplan and have those automatically apply and give our compensation execution team flexibility to make changes.

Incredibly Powerful & Scalable Modern Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is great for an enterprise solution. It is incredibly flexible and can handle any use cases, from FP&A and Supply Chain to Sales Performance Management. The new UX allows end users to work together across modules with ease. Navigating Anaplan is inutitive and pages are feature-packed. Pages are designed to be used ad-hoc by end users, allowing users to run self-service reports. There is a large customer support network that is very active.
What do you dislike about the product?
Models can quickly grow to become unmanageable, especially as business requirements change over time. The tool itself has a learning curve that can take end users longer to learn than expected. The depth of possible inputs or datapoints can lead to uncertainty if data hygiene is not maintained. Implementations may take months and require input from multiple teams across the organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to quickly credit transactions to a sales representative. The process of adding new reps, loading transactions as data, performing the crediting logic, and calculating a payout amount as the result is dramatically streamlined. In addition, accuracy is improved and Sales Operations can spend their time on value-add opportunities.
Anaplan's Customization & UX Consideratoins
What do you like best about the product?
Model Customization - It truly is an open box. This can be a double edge sword if not implemented right, or if requirements are not understood during development, but otherwise this allows for great flexibility in how things could be planned.
Traceability- With formula drill downs, input cell user history, and model history there are a multitude of ways to track and audit end figures in Anaplan. This is nice sitting in a finance team.

What do you dislike about the product?
Two major sticking points for me, Cube size and lack of ALM in the UX.
Cube Size - Unless you use Anaplan's Polaris models, it can become cumbersome to have many (or large) dimensions planned together. This can lead to size restraints, resorting to managing composite/concatenated list structures.
No ALM in the UX - Currently there is not a way to publish dashboard changes to a DEV environment, and then push them seamlessly to a UAT or PROD environment. As a result, it requires copying pages & repointing them - as an alternative of publishing changes across all Dev/UAT/Prod UX pages simultaneously.

Consistnency in planning - creates a standard structure in how forecasting is done, minimizing disparate/disconnected processes.
