What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is robust in bringing diverse operations together for easier planning, including supply, sales, and finance, among others. The app has remarkable scenario-modeling capabilities, and it keeps updating based on the analytics conducted. It also offers multi-dimensional models that handle large enterprises and help ensure efficiency. In addition, the app is cloud-based, with secure and governable systems that support smooth coordination and collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Implementing Anaplan and maintaining the tool require high costs and a strong level of expertise. The complex models also need additional support when it comes to ongoing maintenance and day-to-day management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan is systematic at connecting different business operations to support a centralized planning process. The app includes automated calculation mechanisms that help with forecasting. The platform also enables cross-functional collaboration, where different operations and demands can be managed collectively in one place. In addition, Anaplan has powerful capabilities for modeling complex, dynamic scenarios.
Centralized Planning with Powerful Scenario Modeling
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Anaplan unifies planning across teams in real time, which really helps in aligning our planning processes. The driver-based modeling allows me to see the impact of changes immediately, and scenario planning makes decision-making faster and more confident. It centralizes planning in one cloud platform, reducing reliance on error-prone spreadsheets and creating a single source of truth. The platform is collaborative, reduces spreadsheet chaos, and keeps everyone aligned. It also makes forecasting, scenario analysis, and cross-team alignment much easier and reliable. Once the models are set up, the platform becomes much easier to use day-to-day, and the upfront effort pays off in faster, more accurate planning and collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan's main challenges are its learning curve and the complexity of large models, which can take time and expertise to manage. Integrations with some third-party tools can also require extra setup. The initial setup of Anaplan can be challenging at first, especially for teams new to connected planning. Building models, configuring drivers, and integrating with other systems takes time and sometimes requires guidance from Anaplan specialists.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Anaplan to unify planning across teams, creating shared forecasts and aligning processes. It centralizes our data, cuts reliance on spreadsheets, enables real-time scenario modeling, and boosts decision-making speed and confidence.

I love that it's cloud based making it dynamic for efficient collaboration with my Teams.I like it for versatility and highly customizable to suit my needs with financial planning.Best to have ever done it with expense forecasting.Scalable which makes it best for large enteprises as we are able to grow together.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility in Anaplan's model to run scenario analyses, which allows me to flex scenarios and provide a range of outcomes. The initial setup was very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on how the models are built, it can be super slow during busy times with many users to refresh data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Anaplan for detailed finance budgeting and forecasting for each organization. The model's flexibility helps me run scenario analyses to explore a range of outcomes.

Excel in the Cloud with Powerful Modeling, But needs OOB standard templates + advanced features
What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan is kind of excel on cloud with advanced capabilities and can manage more complex data model, have better visualization
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan doesn't have any out-of-the-box advanced templates for say supply chain planning and thus everything can be build from scratch but it is lot of efforts during the implementation of the use case phase and not recommended for clients who want the solution very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am utilizing Anaplan for a very specific use case of supply chain planning for Life Sciences - Pharmaceutical Industry.
Transforms Datasets with Customizable Dashboards
What do you like best about the product?
I like Anaplan's ability to configure datasets exactly as I want and build dashboards around them that are both numeric and visual. The unique feature within Anaplan that I appreciate is the ability to add a variable within the overall dataset. This allows us to update just a single variable, which then updates the entire dataset and dashboard simultaneously. This feature is particularly useful when managing risk factors across multiple companies.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think role-based access could use an improvement. It wasn't very flexible at the time I was using it. Everyone used to have access to the same dataset, and there was just one system administrator who needed to assign roles to everyone. The data within the roles wasn't very comfortable, so we had to assign administrator roles to almost everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Anaplan to structure datasets into dashboards, making it easy to visualize and directly see financial metrics for multiple companies. Configuring variables like risk factors enhances decision-making without updating entire dashboards.
Great Inventory Planning System
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Anaplan's great user interface, which is easy to understand and makes sharing information with other departments simple. The consolidation of information is another feature I like, and it's supported by data analysis and data consistency capabilities. We also had an awesome integration team to help us with the setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
Forecasting models can sometimes be a little clunky. It's otherwise good.

I use Anaplan for inventory and demand planning, which helps with data analysis, ensuring data consistency, and consolidating information.
User-Friendly with Powerful Planning Insights
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Anaplan is user-friendly and maps out the structure needed to build out a successful sales operations model. I appreciate Anaplan's scalability and real-time insights on planning. The adoption of AI makes it a lot easier to plan. The initial setup was seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be cumbersome as it can be a steep learning curve. It doesn't work well with a lot of large datasets.

I use Anaplan to organize territory planning with historical trends, and I like its user-friendly structure for sales operations. Its scalability and real-time insights, coupled with AI adoption, make planning easier.
