Great product, makes R as good as SAS

  • February 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Anyone with any experience will know what it is like to use SAS and old style packs. this makes its much better with modern interface and great syntax.
What do you dislike about the product?
Didn't like the default plotter. I guess that is an inherent limitation in R, but if you want to do anytthing, you have to use GGplot
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data analytics. Allows me to use enterprise level software without paying for a full SAS or STATA license.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely use this!

Good dedicated R IDE but better choices out there

  • February 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This is a good dedicated IDE for R if that is what you are after. The ability to run it as a service is also quite cool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited to just R. If you use other languages you are better off with Intelij or something like that that offers R support
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking at using R for data analysis

Effective for analysis as a graduate student

  • February 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
RStudio is one of the softwares with the simplest design with ability to perform complex analytical tasks. The best thing I'd say is the easy API access and open-source nature of the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
The simple design is a little less intuitive, so for beginners things could be a little ambiguous.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We at our university have been using RStudio for a project in a venture to generate statistical analysis of customer research data. RStudio has been able to provide us with extensive software reports. Since most of our members were proficient in R, using RStudio was trouble-free.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Switch to RStudio if you love open-source software and like transparent deign and implementation.

R Studio brings the flexibility of the R statistical language to a more user-friendly interface, incorporating some graphic interface qualities while maintaining the flexibility of coding.

As a free, open source software, it is imperfect and bugs or un-intuitive aspects are common,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Biological research; it is the most widely adopted statistical language in the biological sciences and therefore has a community benefit as well.
