Powerful tool once set up, good for app monitoring

What do you like best about the product?
Instana is a powerful tool once it is set up. I like to use it to monitor my apps, their resource usage and performance, and trace HTTP calls. Good for filtering successful 200 calls and unsuccessful HTTP statuses too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that sometimes Instana crashes, so then I lose some monitoring for a period of time although this is a rare occasion. Sometimes if the HTTP requests aren't frequent / continuous, then Instana doesn't pick it up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instana allows me to easily view the health of my Kubernetes clusters and see how the pods are performing across different groups. This means that we can quickly resolve any issues if the services become offline because of e.g. too much memory usage.

A easy and efficient way to track and Debug

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and understand the functionality. In our scenario, it's beneficial to debug an issue to check the logs of what calls are made and what's wrong with it. Also, while running the load test, we can see on runtime the count of request handling by the server and the information of error and successful calls
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike. However, instana usually takes a lot of CPU usage, making it difficult to debug and certify the project. The biggest problem is that the INSTANA team's slow response sometimes takes weeks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Even with a slow response, if the problem is raised to the team, they do solve it by providing the new versions, sometimes old versions too. Usually, our issue includes noot capturing the desired points and CPU usage.

What do you like best about the product?
As a system administrator providing Instana to the developers and using it myself for operational purposes, it gives direct insight into what is happening in the application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sorry, there is nothing I dislike. It's an awesome product easing my life.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding internal communication flow and identifying dependencies that result in erroneous or slow responses. Hereby I can solve more problems in less time with higher resolution quality.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is incredibly user-friendly and easy to navigate. Moving from pages to back-end traces makes finding errors much faster and provides more meaningful context than logs alone.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be somewhat challenging to find what I'm looking for. This may be an implementation detail that DevOps should improve, but it takes a bit more training than I would've expected to be proficient with this tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instana makes it easy to find services in our distributed system. We have been able to improve our MTTR since implementing this tool which helps developers, operations and our end-users feel more confident in our products.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple, rich and helpful. Instana is the tool to have to monitor and troubleshoot easily your Infrastructure and its applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some beta functions like log are not useful at all for now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a lot of business sites, and our front and back technicians use Instant to troubleshoot easily.
