Powerful APM with great features
What do you like best about the product?
Instana is easy to set up and deploy in our infrastructure and instantly provides valuable insights into our servers. It provides deep-root analysis and identifies the root cause of the issue. It is our one and only central platform to monitor our servers for performance issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Instana has never disappointed us in terms of deploying and tracking issues, and we have nothing to dislike. However, I feel there should be an option to find an exact value and save it as a metric.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instana helps us determine and find the root cause of the issue, causing the performance to degrade. It monitors in real-time and provides instant alerts about the issues.

What do you like best about the product?
The recent integration enhancements with Kubernetes and OpenTelemetry make observability seamless across complex environments. It's easier now to trace issues end-to-end in real time.I really like the new Smart Alerts and AI-powered root cause analysis – they’ve significantly reduced our incident resolution time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dashboard loading time can lag slightly during peak usage or when viewing very large data sets – performance optimization here would improve the experience.

Great tool to tracking API calls and figure out any automated call disturbing the system.

But they can improve on there UI and presentation of overall data.

Instana has value for every process that a company has; therefore, it supports all the operations and ensures reports are outlined on time.
Further, Instana improves the behavioral abilities of every player in the company, as there are proper recording and follow-ups are made or done ASAP.
Finally, Instana increases the productive scope; therefore, there is expansion support from the tool.

Instana is a reliable and friendly monitoring tool, and it perfects the operations of every business, more so the small of the growing ones. More so, Instana has a credible team that validates every inquest and ensures updates are deployed swiftly and immediately.

Instana offers stability in a company, and there is consistent help from the way business activities are done due to the operational support.

What do you like best about the product?
The realtime monitoring and the backend traces are helpful. Very big data management is impressive. Instana js covering every nook and corner of an application. Comparison in with other competitor, Instana is best in its UI and how the data is segregated and presented.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the past traces doesn't have data, instana can try to improve that. Instana can consider adding server logs as a separate section. It would be also helpful if we can see a user flow as a separate one. Mobile view can also be considered adding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Instana for our website monitoring. For any kind of real time issue we are 100% trusting instana for reporting via alerts. Also after reporting , we again trust instana for the insights or data.

A must try and 100% trust worthy product for incident report and management.

Easy interface nice map of dependencies it's pretty useful at the moment of point a failure in Kubernetes and VMS

The discrepancies on the documentation don't focus on the to-do and focus more on explaining something that maybe we never use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
traceability, enrich user session data, resource monitoring, some benefits about others APMs it's an easy implementation with a low cost licensing

It's the new APM with the exact boundaries as others pretty useful in Kubernetes, lambdas, and cloud monitoring.

The monitoring system is very effective, and I think it is impressive.
It is a well-designed system. We can see all the problems and successes in the platforms and other systems. The UI and UX of Instana are spectacular. After learning the basics of using this software, implementing it is very easy and intuitive. All the information is clear to see.

What do you dislike about the product?
Instana has more advanced functions than I need to implement frequently. But these functions, when I want to use them, are confusing. The interface sometimes shows too much information and the configuration options get lost. Maybe it's because of my little experience using other Instana functions. Still, I wish t was more intuitive in some parts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Now, we can monitor the performance of some applications we are developing for some of our customers. We can also see how our systems are working. It is crucial for us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My biggest recommendation is to have several dashboards, one for each process being monitored. It is crucial to have the information sorted to observe and evaluate it.
And the second recommendation is to monitor all relevant aspects that occur in the company. Of curse, monitoring is not always needed to solve problems; sometimes it is just to keep improving small things. In any case, it is great peace of mind for us to know how our system is working.

It provides pod level monitoring and alerting for kubernetes along with a high level graphical view for management as well.

Instana is a well-built system used to detect and identify the problems that occur in the network.
It makes finding those issues so easy and convenient and provides a whole lot of analytics about the problem. From the time it started to its running duration, the total number of other services impacted by the problem occurred. And most importantly, the severity of the issue.
Hence saves time and eliminates the manual work required in finding all the details as mentioned earlier.

What do you dislike about the product?
There's no such thing that I wouldn't say I dislike much about Instana. It's just too complicated when you start initially, but later with time as a user, it's easy to understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Instana in my work as an IT professional to find the real-time flaws/problem occurring in the backend of the whole Adidas network system.
