Wouldn't be able to run my business the way I want without it
What do you like best about the product?
Canva brings your vision to life. I work several contract roles and run a direct sales consulting business and this helps me message my way at my speed, for free.
What do you dislike about the product?
I used to be concerned that I couldn't access canva on the go, but now I can!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing and advertising issues in the moment have been solved. I can keep seasonality consistent and curate to my target audience.
Easy to use program for eye catching graphics.
What do you like best about the product?
Canva is easy to navigate and has a variety of free options. There are templates to provide some inspiration and the fonts and flat artwork are very trendy. Images from Canva really seem to appeal to younger viewers. You can also choose a variety of pre-set sizes or create a custom size document.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a grid that covered the entire document to use as guidelines--on InDesign and other programs the grid is optional. It would help in aligning different elements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing on a limited budget--Canva designs are visually appealing and easy to share.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't hesitate to start using this program! It is fantastic.
Simple and Effective
What do you like best about the product?
I like the variety of options Canva gives to be able to create social media campaigns. The prepared templates for Instagram, Facebook, and others make it so easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search function for images can be challenging to use. I would like if that portion were easier or made it more simple for me to find themed templates and images.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This has made it easy for me to create consistent and professional designs for my small business. It is professional looking work that takes but minutes to create. It has saved me time and captivated audiences based on the social media analytics I have looked at.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is simple to use and the paid level of use is well worth it to easily create campaigns.
great way to make it look like you're good at graphic design!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy-to-use and modern templates, which can give you professional-looking designs while allowing enough freedom to create the look you want.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only complaint I can think of is that some of the artwork has a cost associated with it. But because use of the site is free, charging for some artwork is totally fair.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Advertising for various Service Learning events and projects at Western Carolina University. (I also use Canva to design invitations, etc. for personal purposes.)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The possibilities are endless! I've used Canva to design artwork for flyers, posters, business cards, banners, invitations, facebook posts, etc!
Canva is a graphic designers dream!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy the program is to use. It is perfect for beginners, as well as more advanced graphic designers who want to supplement the work with photoshop.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that in the same group of text I cannot change the font size or font type. I wish it were a little more customizable. I also wish that text could be flipped horizontally and vertically. Right now, you can only flip JPG images.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been creating multiple projects for work through Canva including flyers, brochures, e-cards, signage, logos, etc. It has saved me countless hours of work I would have otherwise done on photoshop. It made me realize that anyone can use this program because it is so intuitive and easy to learn!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not be put off by the templates that cost money. I have been using Canva for almost 1 year now and have not paid a penny. There are ways around not paying - just use your own images instead of the Canva images.
Easy to use and lots of options
What do you like best about the product?
There are so many designs and it makes it easy to create beautiful work in a short amount of time or with little skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
The size options. I feel like I can never get it to be there right size to fit what I'm doing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None
The best out there but room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Canva for Work is great and has really opened the door for designers to provide a solution to clients where they can update their own collateral based off templates that are set up for them.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am looking to use this with clients who do not have an in-house graphics person, but currently there is no option to lock aspects of a template that I create. Ideally, I need to be able to create a text box and now allow certain people to edit the font, size or placement. I want them to only be able to edit the content and not the design. Is this possible? Also, the ability to import an InDesign file would be a huge improvement!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to create a design and be able to leverage it so that the end user can update content is fantastic. Before Canva, if the client did not have working knowledge of the Adobe Suite, they had to rely on designers to update content every time they had a change. If Canva can provide the ability to create permission-based templates, where some formatting elements can be locked, this would be my go-to when dealing with small business clients.
