High availability No sql database
What do you like best about the product?
Less expensive than other No sql databases like Cassandra
What do you dislike about the product?
Better documentation for best practices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Less expensive than other No sql databases like Cassandra, Highly scalable especially during Holiday season
Suitable product for high speed read-write performance systems with very less efforts in maintenance
What do you like best about the product?
1. Scylla manager tool for maintenance tasks such as backups, repairs, etc. Automatic repair with flexible intensity level provided
2. ScyllaDB database has the capability to tune the hardware like CPU, memory, and IO which is not present in many databases.
3. ScyllaDB provides high throughput with very less latencies in comparison to Cassandra.
4. Recent benchmark shows that ScyllaDB is more cost-effective than DynamoDB. Ref: https://www.scylladb.com/product/benchmarks/dynamodb-benchmark/

What do you dislike about the product?
There is a need to perform external repairs within several nodes across the cluster if there will be a network disconnect between nodes because of any reasons such as a network glitch. Looking for the next feature enhancement to automatically remediate the data reflection according to the consistency level across all the nodes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business Problem:- To track the tobacco products across the Supply Chain.
Benefits:- Less intervention of Subject matter experts, cost-effective as per its flexibility to increase storage over the years based on the data growth, and less maintenance is required.

Awesome NoSQL DB
What do you like best about the product?
The architecture and the way data is replicated so that we have no downtime
What do you dislike about the product?
The time taken when we do the backup, as the data backup is done on all the cluster nodes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost is reduced as it is very light weight compared to cassandra
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Really super nosql db product, can be used easily in place of cassandra as it will reduce the hosts/nodes needed and thereby that will reduce the cost.
Sharding, and open source!?
What do you like best about the product?
I've taken several of their training courses, I believe all of them were free. My company looked to this to replace Mongo which also gave us a significant performance boost.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had some trouble with our first configuration that I'd blame on the documentation at this point. It's a little "green" for how pricey it can get, though the performance offset makes it worthwhile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heavy throughput on a 24/7 ecommerce application and ability to be a replacement for current in-production Mongo. Reliability has been phenomenal as well, but is comparable on both.
Scylla >> Cassandra
What do you like best about the product?
We transitioned from Cassandra to Scylla, and the results have been amazing thus far. Reduced latencies, less management effort, and lowered managing costs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have not experienced any issues thus far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running a low latency, high frequency application using an extremely large data set.
Ease of Use
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Use and its integration with CQL so my apps don't have to suffer outage during migration
What do you dislike about the product?
The document can be better to support such a good product
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scalability and the stop the world garbage collection with Cassandra DB
ScyllaDB is best in market with merits of high scalability and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
community-backed and low and consistent latency
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing is there to dislike about the scylladb.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
producing a deep learning wizard. easy to work with db
Go For Scylla
What do you like best about the product?
I love the performance and the cost savings part of ScyllaDB.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found anything I dislike about ScyllaDB so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Performance and the costs were the most important factors for us which are fulfilled by ScyllaDB.
The best open source software with apache cassendra
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is that it is providing open source project with integration with apache cassendra and google that is truly useful and it rally helped me to scale by database.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think scylla db should also get integration with amazon web services
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First that being a early stage software startup we dont have too much funding so its open source community helped us to grow and learn
Recommendations to others considering the product:
yes i truley recommend this software
Good NoSQL database with really high throughput at sub millisecond latencies
What do you like best about the product?
The most important point is that Scylla is written in C++. Very good scalable, reliable, and fast database, for sure developer-friendly. The Seastar network works very well, no special infrastructure is required, latency is better than in other solutions. A lot of additional features like materialized views, global and local secondary indexes, workload prioritization, and a DynamoDB-compatible API make Scylla a good competitor for Cassandra.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scylla is still not so popular as other solutions. Cassandra is now the standard for column-store databases. Not many users decided to switch to ScyllaDB so community and support are weak at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I tried to solve a problem with latency during using Cassandra. I have noticed a nice performance improvement and potential for lower operational cost, also latency is better.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Worth to try
