ScyllaDB my favorite NoSQL Database
What do you like best about the product?
The fast response time and scalability of this database solution are amazing to me, coming from a SQL background. It also provides high availability and provides excellent uptime for critical workloads.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a challenging database platform to get used to coming from a SQL background. I could not get the training materials at first as the documentation was a bit confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently building a streaming app and picked ScyllaDB to test how suitable it will be with storing sreaming data. It is pretty neat with support for a wide range of APIs, which gives me the flexibility to build in my own space.

Ultra Blazing Fast
What do you like best about the product?
Its native C++ implementaion and using seastar framework instead of Java thread context switching make it super fast and remove all the JVM overheads. Customizatio on IOPS is the unique factor for using it for high processing dataloads.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation could have been better, a handy desktop client like Mongo Atlas, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are in the middle of a migration to Scylla for high throughput, able to use for Data processing workloads which boil down to IOPS optimization, page faults, etc. Availability on GCP make it easy to choose
Highly scalable and easy on my pocket!
What do you like best about the product?
The unmatchable speed and pricing of ScyllaDB, it has outperformed every other NoSQL database I have tested and has managed to stay on top of all the pricing structure as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing of resources by non-developers can be difficult and can be improved by developing a more user friendly design approach that event a tech newbie can understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability of Kafka streaming, global localization and many other plugins makes ScyllaDB scalable and quick
One of the best NoSQL Database
What do you like best about the product?
ScyllaDB is extremely fast when it comes to the processing of data. It works without any latency with High-intensity applications. When it comes to technology, the whole codebase is open source. It means that you can also contribute to the project. The multi-core servers, along with the database's compatibility with Cassandra and DynamoDB, are beneficial. Also, there is the ScyllaDB university for those who want to learn about NoSQL from scratch and get a certification. ScyllaDB is scalable with always on availability with high throughputs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used ScyllaDB and have taken ScyllaDB's courses. I haven't found any problem so far. So, nothing to dislike from my side. Some more programs related to the DevRel part can be good. Also, the documentation is well documented, but a "write for us" program will be amazing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are several problems that I was facing before using ScyllaDB. I was having trouble with data processing and latency. Thanks to ScyllaDB for solving that. Plus, I had to manage my database manually, but with ScyllaDB, I got to experience a fully managed service.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend others to use ScyllaDB to get a fully managed, open-source, and scalable NoSQL database experience.
Scylla is the real-time big data database that is API-compatible with Apache and manny more
What do you like best about the product?
The monstrously-fast NoSQL database, having compatibility with real-time big data database that is API-compatible with Apache and many more inetgrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documenataion is a bit challenging part , apart form this
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
materialized views, global and local secondary indexes, workload prioritization, and a DynamoDB-compatible API.
ScyllaDB for natural language processing — glad we moved on from Cassandra!
What do you like best about the product?
We previously used Cassandra to back a natural language processing system, storing news articles and metadata for an IR frontend. We evaluated migrating to Scylla and found it an absolute joy to work with. Creating the same schema was easy, and loading the snapshot from Cassandra to Scylla made it really easy to move the data over without having to write one-off custom scripts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only thing I could think of is to clean up the documentation on migration a little bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to obtain better read performance as well as reliability, and wanted to future-proof our solution. I think Scylla has enabled us to be more productive in this way.
A good NoSql DB
What do you like best about the product?
The scalability and the speed of the ScyllaDB is fantastic
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the documentation is confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have to use ScyllaDB to manage a large pool of JSON documents
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This product is one of the best NoSQL databases that I know
Very nice
What do you like best about the product?
the fact that it is open-source distributed NoSQL wide-column data store
What do you dislike about the product?
none at the moment, will update when I have some
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
NA
Great migration experience
What do you like best about the product?
My organization upgraded from Cassandra to Scylla last year. We were forced to make the migration earlier than expected due to some hardware failures. Once those issues were resolved, the performance advantages really stood out.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any complaints about Scylla that wouldn't be common to all NoSQL solutions. When compared to its peers, Scylla is easy to use and offers many advantages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Costs - the increased efficiency allows us to use far fewer resources than were required with Cassandra. This has been the primary benefit of migrating to Scylla.
One of the best performance in nosql databases
What do you like best about the product?
ScyllaDB offers excellent read and write performance and takes perfect advantage of the new multicore and multiprocessor architectures that we can find in modern CPUs. In addition, it provides features that are consistent with new cloud-based architectures, such as high availability and high scalability in multicluster environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
As points for improvement, we could highlight that the documentation should be expanded with more specific use cases in order to make the most of the possibilities of the architecture it offers. In addition, interoperability and compatibility with other databases such as Cassandra could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ScyllaDB is intended for those organizations that have problems with the performance of the database infrastructure they are using. The main advantages of using ScyllaDB are high availability, high scalability, and low latency, allowing queries to be resolved in times of microseconds and having superior performance to other NoSQL databases.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend using ScyllaDB for users or organizations looking for a flexible, fast, and optimized database for concurrent queries in multi-cloud and multicluster environments.
