Great Tool for Tracking Dev Work and Team projects. Has too many knobs

    Reviewed on Jun 21, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It is a great tool for tracking dev work and issues assigned to team members. We use it for development
What do you dislike about the product?
Their features are enabled either for the whole team or no one. We want to enable some features for part of the team and that does not work. So the pricing gets too high for such features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They provide a great ticketing system to track dev work across different projects. They have a very dense UI, so you really have to know how to use various features.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to assign a story in Jira without any hassle. You can assign the story to anyone just by searching their name in the assignee field.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, due to access issues, I’m not able to assign stories or sprints. I understand this is for security, but it should be more flexible so I can still get the stories assigned when needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira is helping us solve key problems, like assigning stories and keeping track of progress. It also makes it clear which team member is working on which story. The agile board is very useful for moving stories into another queue, and it’s also hassle-free to reopen any story when needed.

    Streamlined Project Management and Collaboration

    Reviewed on Jun 19, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Jira for its flexible workflows, task tracking, and how it keeps the whole team aligned. It makes it easy to assign tasks, track progress in real time, and keep everyone updated without constant follow-ups. The initial setup was fairly easy, and the available templates helped us get started quickly. I also value the better sprint planning, customizable workflows, and more detailed reporting as our projects became more complex.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can feel a bit overwhelming for new users, and the search function could be faster. A simpler layout for first-time users, fewer clicks to access common features, and more accurate search filters would make the experience much smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira to keep projects organized, enhance team collaboration, and easily track progress.

The OG Task Management Standard—Affordable, Flexible, and Integration-Friendly

    Reviewed on Jun 18, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It's the OG task management system and more. The web interface when saving could be more responsive (async), but it is the standard for waterfall and agile task management. I have been able to use it at no cost of most of my needs. With a larger team, it was very affordable per user. I have integrated many third-party applications. The rules and integration can do it all, but sometimes need a bit of patience to get it right.
What do you dislike about the product?
Task saving speed. Should be async. Need simple alternative views out of the box.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task and user management. Quantify speed to product and team performance.

Strong project management despite deep customization

    Reviewed on Jun 18, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like Jira's customizable workflows and issue tracking capabilities. It helps development, QA, and product teams work in a structured manner and provides visibility into the entire project lifecycle. User stories, tasks, bugs, and epics can be managed in one place. The features for sprint planning and backlog management are effective. Workflows can be customized according to the team's processes, there are powerful filters, dashboards, and reports that help track project progress. Additionally, integration with tools like Confluence and Zapier Square makes its functionality even more available. For me, the most valuable feature is issue traceability, which allows easy tracking of development, tasks, test cases, and bugs related to any requirement. This improves coordination between QA, development, and product teams and makes release management more organized. The biggest advantage is that the entire team has real-time visibility of the project, making planning, execution, and delivery more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Now working on Jira feels quite right to me, there aren't many shortcomings for me, but there are some things that cannot be ignored. One of these things is that there is quite a lot on its dashboard, so a new person who is onboarding might face some difficulties. Then there is no way to export the workflow. The biggest challenge is its complexity management; Jira is extremely flexible, but if teams create too many workflows, custom workflows, issue types, and fields, maintaining the system and onboarding new team members can become difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira for project management, sprint planning, issue tracking, and team collaboration. It is the main tool for development and QA teams, making it easy to track the progress of tasks and provide the entire team with complete visibility of work on a single platform.

What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes it feels overwhelming for new users because of the number of project boards, workflows , issues types and configuration options available , during my initial onboarding , it took some time to understand how different project were organized and how tasks moved through various stages, i also found that simple marketing tasks can sometimes require more administrative updates than expected, such as changing statuses, updating fields, or linking related tickets , while these processes improve tracking and accountability they can occasionally slow down day to day work, also creating customized reporting and dashboards can require some learning , especially for users who are not familiar with project management tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira solves many important challenge related to project organizations, tasks tracking, team collaboration and campaign execution, marketing project often involve multiple client, tight deadlines, and numerous moving parts, making it difficult to keep everyone aligned without a centralized project management systems, it solves problems such as lack of visibility into project progress missed deadlines and tasks ownership confusion, difficulty coordinating work across teams, inefficient tracking of campaing activities, communication gaps between departments manual project management and status updates, its very useful for marketing campaign planning and execution, content creation and approval workflows, social media project management , event and webinar coordination,, cross functional collaboration. its boards , workflow and automation features helps ensures that project move smoothly from planning to execution while providing transparency for everyone involved it also helps managers monitors progress and quickly identify potential issues.

I like the way the to-do list is organized for both the team and for individuals. Also, I love Confluence for documenting my work. I recently started using Rovo, the AI feature, and it’s great for quickly completing my draft descriptions of my work.

Efficient Agile Management, Needs Poker Improvement

    Reviewed on Jun 17, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like the Kanban board more, as I can move my tasks in 'To-Do', 'In Progress', or whatever state I am creating to shuffle the tasks which I prefer for my progress. The initial setup of Jira was pretty good actually.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we use Agile Poker for our task estimation, and it is kind of buggy for us. Improving the Agile Poker would be great, especially providing external access to the session as it's not well prepared for external users to access it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira to follow agile methodology, plan better for future sprints and backlogs, and ensure alignment with tasks and features for development.
