Jira: a super powerful tool for incident management

  • July 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most is that I have an overview of all the open tickets assigned to me, in addition to the boards that are quite useful in project management and for my team and I to keep track of important assigned tasks. Also, the user interface is very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I would really say I don't like is the complexity, which is not 100% bad, but there are things that might be a bit more intuitive to do at other tables, in addition to the dependency on external plugins for relatively simple things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems that Jira allows us to solve are the following:

Incident management: it allows us to have all the incidents there.
Project management: we have several projects in which we have assigned tasks and we manage them there.

The best thing about this product is Jira excels at tracking issues, managing workflows, and fostering team collaboration. Its customizable features and integrations make it adaptable to various project needs, improving efficiency and transparency.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing which i can can be a issue is Jira can be complex and slow, with a steep learning curve. It can also be expensive, especially for smaller teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a comprehensive project management and issue-tracking software which we used in software development. It empowers teams to effectively plan, track, and manage their work through customizable workflows, agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban, and robust issue-tracking capabilities. Key features include bug tracking, task management, feature requests, roadmapping, sprint planning, release management, team communication, task assignment, progress tracking, and customizable dashboards and reports. There can only be one...issue tracker

What do you like best about the product?
Jira sets the standard for issue tracking. It has so many integrations into so many platforms, that I can rest assured that any tool I use can pipe data to Jira.

It's also very easy to use, for technical and non-technical folks alike. A lot of great documentation and guides.
What do you dislike about the product?
Search can be tough, so I am forced to watch and follow tasks/projects. Give me a better way to search and query and then there's nothing stopping you.

This is my only criticism, make search/query better please.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to create support request tickets for my customers and directly raise them with engineering. It allows work to get done faster and eliminates the bottleneck.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Jira is it has many features for project work and bugs tracking. It is used very often by my team, so frequency of use is high. Customer support is okay but not very fast. Ease of use is sometimes hard for new users, but once learned, implementation is smooth. Integration with other tools is good, which helps working together well.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike is that Jira can be complicated and confusing at first, so ease of use is low for beginners. Setting up takes time, so ease of implementation is not very simple. Customer support sometimes slow to solve problems. Overall, Jira is powerful but needs effort to learn and use properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking bugs, managing sprints, and having complete workflow automation with good API capability really helps me and my team work efficiently. Besides this, Jira gives clear visibility of task progress, helping us stay on schedule. It also improves team collaboration since everyone knows their responsibilities and deadlines. The custom dashboards and reports save time in tracking project health. Integrations with other tools make our work seamless, and notifications keep us updated on important changes immediately. Overall, Jira makes project management smooth and helps my team deliver better results faster.

Versatile project tracker with powerful workflow automation

  • July 31, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jira offers unmatched flexibility for configuring agile boards, custom issue types and advanced workflows. Built-in automation rules cut repetitive admin tasks, while the marketplace adds integrations for code repos, CI/CD and customer support tools. Dashboards and data-driven reports keep stakeholders aligned and provide clear insight into sprint velocity, cycle time and resource allocation. For distributed teams, real-time collaboration and granular permissions ensure every change is traceable and compliant.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup can feel overwhelming: numerous configuration options, permission schemes and screen settings demand a steep learning curve for new admins. Large projects with thousands of issues may experience sluggish board loading unless performance tuning and archiving are applied. Pricing increases sharply as user tiers grow, and some powerful add-ons require separate licences, driving up total cost of ownership.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira centralises all development work, giving every stakeholder a single source of truth for tasks, priorities and deadlines. Custom workflows and automation rules remove manual hand-offs, reducing cycle time and the risk of human error. Real-time dashboards provide visibility into sprint velocity, burndown and blockers, allowing management to allocate resources based on data rather than guesswork. Integrated permissions and audit logs ensure full traceability – a key requirement for regulated industries – while native integrations with code repos and CI/CD pipelines link every commit or deployment back to a user story, improving accountability and release quality.
