Unified System with Customizability, Needs Better Search Function
What do you like best about the product?
I like how customizable Jira is, as it has made it easier for us to create different workspaces for different teams without having to compromise on our specific needs. The built-in security functions are also appreciated, as Jira supports the latest security protocols like RBAC, SSO, and SCIM.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search function is borderline useless. Our previous system allowed us to find things based on keywords, but now we basically have to know the ticket number to find the previous tickets. Despite its customizability, I wish it could present a more simplified view for teams that don't need every box checked. The initial setup was also bad because we did it ourselves.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira unified our systems for knowledge articles, tickets, and development tracking, improving our asset management. Its customizability lets us tailor workspaces for different teams, reducing compromises. The security supports all latest functions like RBAC and SSO.
Strong Ticketing and Dashboards, but SSO/MFA Locked Behind Higher Pricing
What do you like best about the product?
Jira works well as a ticketing and bug-tracking tool. Our team can collaborate easily on issues and project work. It also provides excellent dashboards that give quick insight into the status of tasks and projects. It’s simple to comment on tickets, change the status or assignee, and close them, and it’s just as easy to open new tickets when needed. I also like that you can follow issues to receive notifications and emails whenever someone updates them, and you can “star” issues to keep a closer watch on the ones that matter most. Implementing Jira is quick and easy from the start. Migrating from another ticketing system would likely be more difficult. I use Jira daily. It's also easy to integrate with Confluence for documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira doesn’t support SSO unless you pay for a more expensive license. In my view, vendors shouldn’t charge extra for SSO or MFA, since these are basic yet critical security features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps my team manage our day-to-day tasks through tickets, and it also helps us track our project work using dashboards.
JIRA’s Kanban Board Makes Task Tracking Easy
What do you like best about the product?
I like JIRA’s interface, especially the Kanban board. Metric list, duedate, customer names, Team name, add task, request dates etc many more options available to get my work done easily
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I don’t see the fields where I want to insert certain rules or text, so it’s hard to add what I need in the right place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps me stay organized and focused by giving me a clear, up-to-date view of my tasks and priorities. I can easily track progress, update my work, and collaborate with my team in one place without jumping between tools. It reduces confusion and saves time because everything—from requirements to bugs—is documented.
Jira Keeps Ops, Incidents, and Deployments Organized with Powerful Integrations

jira plays a very important role in managing day to day operational work lilke deployments, incident tracking and infrastructure tasks, it helps to keep everything organised in one place. i like that we can track deployment task and production issues clearly using tickets, when there is a production issue or outage, we create a Jira ticket and track all updates, logs and fixes in the same place, this make troubleshooting easier. also. its boards are useful for managing sprints based work as well as ongoing Devops tasls. we can track what is in progress, pending and what has been completed.. also the integration with other tools like Github is useful, we link code changes, deployment updates, and monitoring alerts with Jira tickets, which helps to maintain proper traceability. it give a powerful performance in projects. and its new AI features are amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes it feels a bit heavy for quick operational tasks, creating and updating tickets for small fixes may take extra time. also workflow configuration and permission can be complex and may require admin support/
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it solves the issue of unorganised tasks tracking, earlier many DevOps tasks were handled through chats or emails, which made it difficult to track issues and maintain history. with Jira every deployment , incident or infrastructure change is documented properly. this helps in better tracking , faster troubleshooting and maintaining records for future reference. it also improves coordination between DevOps ,development and support teams as everyone can see updates in the same tickets. Jira is reliable and essential tool for me and my team. it is very useful for maintaining structured DevOps operations. its drag and drop feature is big plus for me.
Clear, FlexiEffective tool for agile project and bug trackingble Sprint Tracking and Dashboards
What do you like best about the product?
Jira provides a clear and flexible way to manage user stories, bugs, and tasks in one place, with good sprint boards, filters, and dashboards that help track QA and development progress easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can feel cluttered for new users, and sometimes simple actions like configuring workflows, permissions, or custom fields take too many steps and can be confusing without admin experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps centralize requirements, defects, and sprint planning so that QA, developers, and product owners stay aligned, making it easier to track priorities, reduce miscommunication, and improve release quality and transparency.
Fantastic for Tracking Team Workload, Productivity, and Managing Sprints
What do you like best about the product?
The ease at which it's possible to get a sense of the workload and productivity of my teams via Jira is fantastic. It makes it incredibly easy to manage sprints and to get a handle on how much tech debt there is to manage, which is a big part of my job.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it has improved over the years, the Jira UI still has eccentricities such as button clicks or keystrokes that either don't register or catch up so you end up with accidental ticket modifications. Atlassian also tends to roll out UI "enhancements" without much notice, so you can have days where you have to completely re-learn where your usual tasks are found.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira is our go-to project management system, for both long-term, complex software products, as well as daily task-oriented areas such as the IT help desk and Infrastructure.

Jira Keeps Our HR Workflows Organized and Onboarding on Track
What do you like best about the product?
Jira has been quite helpful for managing internal HR processes and tracking employee related tasks. even though it is mainly used by technical teams we have adapted it for HR workflows like recruitment tracking, onboarding tasks, and internal requests. one thing I like most is how tasks can be clearly tracked. For example, when a new employee joins, we create a Jira ticket for onboarding, and different teams like IT, Admin, and HR can update their tasks in the same ticket. This makes the process more organised. Jira workflows are also very useful. We can track the status of tasks like interview scheduling, document collection, or onboarding progress. It helps ensure that nothing is missed. everyone involved in the process can see updates and comments, which reduces the need for constant follow ups through mail. i use it daily for all my tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes it feels a bit complex for HR use, since it is designed mainly for technical teams, some features are not very intuitive for HR process, also setting up workflows or custom fields for HR requirements may need support from the technical team or admin. but overall its very easy to use i like it UI and performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
i use it to organise HR tasks in a structured way, earlier many processed like onboarding or internal requests were handles through emails or spreadsheets, which made tracking difficult. with Jira every tasks is recorded and tracked properly it improves coordination between HR and other department like IT and admin, it also helps to maintain records of past activities. which is useful for audits or future reference. it is useful tool for managing HR operations, especially in organisation where multiple teams are involved in processes like onboarding and recruitment, while it may need some initial setup, it helps to improve organization, tracking and communication in HR workflows.
Powerful Tool for Task Management, But Challenging for New Users
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Jira keeps everything organized in one place, making it easy to track tasks, see progress, and collaborate with the team. It helps solve the problem of scattered work and lack of visibility, as all tasks, bugs, and updates are in one place, making it easy to track progress and stay organized. I also find Jira to be a very powerful tool for project management and it works really well for teams once it is properly set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Jira is very powerful, it can sometimes feel a bit complex and overwhelming, especially for new users. The interface could be more intuitive. Also, performance can occasionally be slow when handling large projects, and customization, while useful, can become complicated to manage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
