The ultimate powerhouse for tracking complex, cross-functional operations

  • March 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As an Operations Manager coordinating across both technical and non-technical departments, Jira's workflow customization is unmatched. I love how deeply it integrates with our existing tech stack (like Slack and Google Workspace) to automate updates and keep our distributed team completely aligned on complex, cross-functional initiatives.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is notoriously steep for non-technical users. If you don't enforce strict governance and board hygiene from day one, your workspace will quickly turn into a cluttered, unmanageable mess of endless custom fields. It almost always requires a dedicated internal administrator to keep things running smoothly as the company scales.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira solves the massive problem of siloed communication in a distributed tech company. It acts as our absolute single source of truth for complex product rollouts and operational upgrades. It benefits me by providing instant visibility into bottlenecks and resource allocation across multiple departments without having to chase people down on Slack.

Efficient Planning with Easy Setup

  • March 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Jira for sprint planning and writing test plans. I appreciate the effective planning and backlog refinement it offers. The test repository feature is great because we can reuse test cases anytime, which means we don't have to rewrite the same test cases repeatedly. I like that test plans, test sets, and test steps are all in sequence, making the process smooth. Setting up Jira was easy, and I find the user interface to be friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that sometimes the Xray document generator takes longer to download.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira for effective sprint planning and backlog refinement. The test repository feature allows reusing test cases, saving time and effort. It streamlines test plan organization by keeping test sets and steps in sequence.

JIRA One solution for Agile Project Management

  • March 07, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As an Agile Project Manager, we use various features of Jira to manage product requirements efficiently. All requirements can be organized and tracked using Scrum or Kanban boards in the form of stories and backlog items, along with workflows that show the status of each story such as To Do, Not Started, Ready to Work, In Progress, and Done. Tasks and stories are the core elements of Jira. Each story contains important information such as detailed requirements, story points, labels, assignee, comments, and status, which helps the team clearly understand and track the work.

We can also monitor story progress through different reports like burndown charts, sprint reports, velocity charts, and cumulative flow diagrams. Jira also allows us to create custom dashboards and reports using filters and query features, which provide better visibility into project progress. Another advantage is its seamless integration with tools like Confluence, Bitbucket, and GitHub for documentation, code management, and CI/CD pipelines.

Overall, Jira helps teams plan, track, and manage projects efficiently while improving collaboration and transparency across the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no major dislikes about Jira, but since Jira has a wide range of features and supports many third-party integrations, users need good knowledge of the platform to properly design and manage projects. If Jira is not well-structured, especially in large teams, it can create issues such as slowness, permission mismatches, difficulty in generating optimized reports, and overall project management complexity.

Another challenge is cost. Some advanced features require additional plugins or integrations, which can increase the overall expense. For large teams where many users need access, the per-user pricing can also become high. Therefore, proper planning and configuration of Jira are important to ensure smooth project management and avoid performance or maintenance issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The major problem for a Product Manager is managing and tracking all product requirements efficiently. Jira solves this problem by providing a structured way to capture and organize requirements. All requirements can be written in the form of stories with different sections such as description, acceptance criteria, labels, assignee, and status. Labels are also used to track the requirement stages such as ready to work, deployable, demo, and refinement done.

Stories are well organized under epics, capabilities, and sprints or backlogs, which helps maintain a clear product structure. Jira also allows the creation of filters and dashboards that help track requirements quickly and provide overall visibility of the project and work status. These dashboards can be categorized by time, user, issue type, labels, and other parameters, making it easier to monitor progress and make informed decisions.

Great for Collaboration but Can Be Overwhelming

  • March 07, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Jira solves many practical problems that people face while managing work, progress, projects, or teams. One feature I appreciate is how it handles scattered communication and missed deadlines. Information being spread across emails, WhatsApp, meetings, or documents can be a real issue, so I love that with Jira, comments, files, updates, and discussions are attached directly to each task. It really helps in keeping projects from getting delayed.
What do you dislike about the product?
One limitation of Jira is that it can feel complex and overwhelming sometimes for new users, especially for small teams that only need simple task management. The interface and setup process should be simplified a bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps manage tasks, track bugs, and collaborate within a team. It solves unmanaged bugs, tracking issues, task clarity, and meeting deadlines by attaching comments, files, and updates directly to tasks, preventing delays.

A good tool for product management.

  • March 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I highlight the most is its versatility to adapt to different methodologies. The ability to customize workflows, the robustness of its Kanban boards, and the native integration with other development tools allow the entire work team to have a clear order of the project's progress, especially when there are reports of failures.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first, I think it is a tool that might be a bit overwhelming for new users, meaning I think its learning process is not very intuitive, as the interface has many options and can end up feeling cluttered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, tasks and product tracking were scattered; with Jira, we centralized everything, error tracking and releases in one place. This benefits us by increasing transparency and improving delivery times.
