Best project management platform

  • July 14, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
For us, Jira has been a very in depth platform to manage our technology stories and moving the stories from QA to development. It helps our product managers, QA and technology leaders to complete the projects in time.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, it becomes to complex to manage for different stake holders who are not from technical background but need to access JIRA for some reference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use JIRA
- As a project management tool to track and complete technical milestones
- Host product roadmap stories
- Align and product and tech team

Streamlined our issue tracking

  • July 14, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about it is that we can quickly add issues when they come up or are reported to us, prioritise them accordingly, or assign them to the best person for the job. We also use Bitbucket so having it integrate into that nicely is a great bonus and really makes our dev more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of features and charts and all sorts you can twiddle with on Jira which can make it feel a bit overwhelming and/or cluttered. I personally prefer the Bitbucker integration of Jira issues as it's a bit simpler and feels less cluttered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Jira has completely streamlined our issue tracking, which used to be tracked by email and then Trello, which wasn't as efficient for our needs as Jira is. Using Jira means we can properly prioritise our roadmap and upcoming projects and updates.

Most efficient way to handle projects

  • July 14, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it is a way to track projects and have requests well organized in there. The SLA on the Jira Service Management helps us prioritize and see which requests are urgent and which are not.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Jira is that it is not very smart in the integration with Slack. When you create a ticket in Slack you are not able to change who is the reporter, so you end up going into Jira and manually changing it. Another thing is that in the integration with g-suite, it is hard to change a user's name if two users have the same name but different emails. (ex. We had a former employee whos name is John C. so his email was john@. When he got deleted and a new employee came on board, his name was also John G. so his email was also john@ but on Jira, it would show that his name is John C. instead of his name John G.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira is solving many requests we get from users promptly. We get a lot of requests and some we miss on Slack, so with Jira, everything is recorded and assigned to someone so that they can see how many requests they have.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have nothing to dislike about Jira, at first it was a little bit of a learning curve but that was more on my end. Very user-friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time reporting, it has been a great tool to measure project spends

Best for Scrum Style Project Management

  • July 14, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jira's got the structure build out for Scrum Style Agile Development. The backlog, epics, tasks, issues, releases are essential pieces that will help you to nicely manage your scrum style project without having to create or configure anything. The UI is really clean which I really like about Jira than Clickup. I also like the ticketing structure and the bug tracking features of Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
Two main things I do not like about Jira is its price and lack of flexibility. You feel you are stuck into this scrum style project management. While this does work for scrum some projects need a bit of flexibility to adapt to the workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helped us to manage our scrum style projects really well. The Gitlab integration was good with good references between the two. This allowed us to work remotely but keep track of everything and finish the sprint well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking into scrum style agile management Jira is perfect. But if you need some flexibility try other applications like Clickup

Managing projects and issues from a single center

  • July 14, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has been a great tool for me for quite some time, and I find its intuitive design to be one of its most valuable features. Individuals can create their Kanban or Scrum boards, which makes it easy to track progress and identify potential problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing we dislike about it at this time. Jira has been our agile software for several years, and we have no plans to switch because it works so well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing incidents, allocating roles, and monitoring issues Jira is an effective tool for managing organizational transformations in addition to its primary purpose

Jira is a World Class Leader in project management and collaboration. Use it.

What do you like best about the product?
Jira is applicable to just about every job function you can imagine. Its ability to change and adapt to your specific needs makes it uniquely valuable in any portfolio regardless of organizational size.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recently they moved everything to an offsite / cloud structure. I wish they hadn't done this as I know of a few instances where data security requirements make having assets offsite very difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Agile development work is organized quickly for us in Jira. It's a tool that we just sort of use and not think about in much the same way you pick up a pencil and go.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't worry about getting it right the first time. Just use it.
