Easily organise bugs and features

  • July 13, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
You can easily create release versions and assign different issues to different versions.
Slack integration gives notifications when an issue has been created or updated.
BitBucket integration and automation means that when a Pull Request in BitBucket is merged, it can automatically mark the issue as complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little bit fiddly to set up because there are so many elements to it, for example, issue types, fields, workflows etc.
However, once the initial setup of these elements is complete, you generally won't need to worry about them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira is helping us to keep on top of all issues, and helps to prioritise different issues so we can always find the next thing to work on developing.
Assigning issues to different developers means that it's easy to share the workload between the team/

    Education Management

One of the most mature product

  • July 13, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My ideal perspective for fixing bugs comes from working with the team and configuring the choices to track your problem.

Kanban boards, scrum boards, and agile boards all provide greater flexibility in tracking project management progress.

Jira issues are generated each day and are discussed in the same way.

I appreciate that they provide alternatives like "resolve," "wait for someone," "make sub-tasks," and "time estimation," which all help team members understand what has to be done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every tiny thing depends on another little thing, though not necessarily in a way that makes sense. This dependency frequently prevents you from making the desired adjustments and encourages awkward workarounds.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every issue that has been reported or produced by team members is discussed during Scrum meetings.

This monitors the direction of the journey.

The Jira issues can then be resolved, worked on, and closed.

Additionally, we added Jira issues to the project management agile board as sprint tickets.

What do you like best about the product?
Custom status' and ticket lifecycle is robust and able to be changed to meet business/unique needs. Cloud based, flexible, intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Dated UI/UX - feels extremely basic. Performance can be impacted when customizations and fields are introduced. Reporting is not intuitive and lacks some industry standard benchmarks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira is our primary bug tracking software (relevant to Support) and our Level 3 Engineering team. This platform provides the opportunity to engage with subject matter experts in Engineering when Support has exhausted their knowledge/remit.

Jira excellent project management software for managing development

  • July 11, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to define a release procedure and make sure all tickets (issues) go through the same predefined steps. It also can be linked to deployment software to allow automatic builds of the software as the ticket moves through different stages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira cloud has missing features from what was initially provided by Jira, although they are working on this to bring Jira cloud in line with the original software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have issues tracking issues from the user through to deployment. Using Jira issue collector we can track these changes, while also automatically informing the use of the work being done on the ticket.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This will make your development practices better and more effcient

Jira - A useful Project Management Tool

  • July 11, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The way we can define the task, Notification
What do you dislike about the product?
To identify useful reports from the list.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing tasks, assigning tasks to team members and tracking the status of each task we too difficult without any proper tool. Jira Core helps to define the task easier to associate with team members. We can check the current status of each task on board. We can filter the task based on the powerful search option. It allows us to do the documentation as well using confluence. Confluence is a very good tool that can allow us to manage the full documentation of the product and manage the requirement, user manual, and different reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira is very comprehensive product, it help to manage our business very well, It save our time which we can utilize on our other business process.

Best Agile Project Management Tool!

  • July 09, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It makes it easy to track stories, tasks, and bugs effortlessly while grouping them under one theme/ story. Super helpful for startups and early-stage companies in creating standardization apart from maintaining their documentation, training material/ ops manual for sales, marketing, and operations departments.JIRA is very extensible and there are thousands of add-ons to customize and easily integrate with other software without much-complicated code. However, this can be started using right from the out-of-the-box features. Customizing workflows is not too hard. There is a good software development kit and good documentation for developers who want to write add one.

Some of the best parts include
1. Tracking the workflows and milestones for the product roadmaps
2. Tasks can be assigned to any particular member of the team & tracking them is easy.
3. Helps create sub-tasks in QA and testing services.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Lack of Integration/ collaboration with Microsoft teams for chat and communication purposes.
2. No built-in timelines and reminder features to track project progress. Some of the teams do it manually in scrum calls.
3. Takes a good amount of time to understand and familiarize yourself with the features.
4. lack of feature: Bandwidth visibility tracker to showcase at a personal level and dashboard to show run rate ( stories executed / week)
5. Costly to build complete suite of solutions. Limited file size upload
6. Missing feature: it lacks features to manage costs or assess risks, features often needed in a complete project management experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Helps in controlling software development lifecycle including developing features & specifications.
2. it is an ideal tool for teams that use iterative approaches (Agile Methodology).
3. The platform integrates with many test management tools for a seamless quality assurance process.
4. Teams can optimize Jira’s issue tracking functionality using custom screens, custom fields, and workflows to handle both manual and automated testing.
5. I used it extensively to maintain sprints, and backlogs and integrate with Github.
