Jira can be very complicated to set up and manage, but becomes very useful for the right teams

It's very customizible and once set up is rather clean for others to track how milestones are being met

It can be hard to set up for non-software development uses. The options aren't very flexible for regular project management type work, but can be used

Jira is one of the best tools for tracking the progress of projects.

2. Cost-effective
3. We can add comments on the task, and have an inbuilt text formater.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as such but sometime UI looks very complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to keep track of the developer's or peer's progress on particular tasks.
We have option for sprint planning, clear deadline commenting and other stuffs that make this tool different from other tools.

If someone looking for the software by which they keep track the progress of developers, Jira is the tool.
Top agile tool to manage IT projects
What do you like best about the product?
Issues search is very complete. Integrations with Confluence, VCS tools and many others. Kanban boards make it very easy to organize and have a complete view about the project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira can become quite complicated to create/compile issues when many features are activated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Jira daily to track issues and tasks to manage many IT projects. We use Kanban boards and is very useful to organize the daily work.
The best project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
The customization almost seems unlimited and to the point at the same time. Creating workflows and practicing agile methodologies could never have been easier. It has been bossing the market since early 2000's.
What do you dislike about the product?
For a beginner assigning tasks to teams and users could be quite a hassle. It definitely takes some time to get used to, especially on integrating other software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easier to manage your code on a UI level, otherwise, me and other developers at my company would check logs, commits, readme's, etc to understand the workflow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Even though Jira is difficult to understand in the beginning, there are tons of tutorials and how-to's to get the flow and concept of the platform
JIRA: A great Agile Workflow management tool
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA is one of the best workflow management tool, which has been set as an Industry standard and is being used my most of the Multi National Companies. It is really in terms of tracking of work on a project , status of a task at various stages with integration with Git for Developers as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be some features that gives limited access for a JIRA to the people who have been added as developer or tester or reporter to delete a subtasks or a defect etc. For some features, you need to have admin privileges. The UI and Project Integration takes some time getting used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA has really helped in tracking the Status of the tasks one is working across different projects and manage the workload according to the status of tasks and their Drop Dates.
Flexibility is abound ! Jira can be as complex or as simple as you need it to be.

I have used Jira at multiple companies and with all sizes of projects, and what I like best is that I can make the Jira project as complex or as simple as the team or project needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes getting new Jira users orientated on how to use the system can take some time and cause some frustration. However, once a user feels comfortable and understands the power of the system the more technical users tend to like it a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira is natively attuned to support Agile development with ease. The visibility and ability to be the source of truth for development projects is valuable to me and my team.

kanban board, great flexibility for tasks as you can add any field that you want

Nothing i am aware of, have been using Jira for the last 9 years for different projects

Release management, daily tasks within the team, kanban board to follow what everyone is working on and monitoring the backlog

Jira helps us to easily track defects, and tasks and also helps with test execution. It helps to have a proper workflow between different departments

Jira, Great Project Management Solution!
What do you like best about the product?
Once we are fully on the board it becomes very easy to look up where the project is and what is needed to complete it within the time. They have super drag and drop functionality that makes it super easy to route outside the request and accomplish them. We can easily tag our team members. It is a great app for tracking large complex projects. It is highly customizable for both of our projects and overall for our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is difficult to manage the attached files and documents. The preview of pictures is buggy and to do any sort of comment on the picture is complex. Notifications of settings are not properly managed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They help us to track the issues with great integration. They have great adaptively for agile projects with great management. One of the great features they have is that they provide us alerts for the management so that we do not miss or forget anything related to our projects, this feature helps us a lot in the management of everything on time.

1. Easy tracking of tasks and projects that are ongoing.
2. One can create sprint cycles for a project to be finished, and assign tasks to people accordingly.
3. Its integration with Slack is a cool feature, one can receive notifications easily there, without having to open Jira.
4. I like the drag and drop feature for a task - for example, we can shift a task from development to the testing phase, by just dragging and dropping it.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. There's no Jamboard where we can create process flow diagrams. There should be one for each task/project.
2. If a project (head) was created under somebody, but if that person is no longer a part of the project, there's no specific feature to transfer the project entirely, and stop receiving notifications.
3. The UI for features/options given in the Top panel, improvement can be done for them, i.e to improve UI for the Top panel on the Home page.

It's a great project management tool, I have been a part of this software for 2 years now. I love the features and functionalities that it has to offer in this sphere.
