Essential for project management and monitoring.
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about this application is that it is really simple, its ease of use and its friendly and intuitive interface is really a pleasure for the user, I like how easy it is for the user to create tasks, subtasks or any project, with filters and panels, what I like the most is that the teamwork is real, anyone can access the task and check its current status and what changes have been made, I love how well the search option works, the integration with Slack is exquisite Plus it also has an alert and notification system that works great, and I love the Kanban and Scrum boards, plus they're easy to customize.
What do you dislike about the product?
have no dislikes about this software, there was nothing that bothered me while using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is easy, good and comfortable to create a board, customize it and keep track of the total progress of a project, it is very easy to manage each aspect of the project, in addition, the interface helps to quickly understand what each option is about, it has a learning line very fast, it integrates perfectly with other software such as GitHub, vscode, code collaborator, something that improves the experience, creating and sharing dashboards is very easy, I love the search function and being able to filter what I need at the moment, I love managing reports, workflows, and a really good notification system.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a necessary application for teamwork and project management, so I recommend it.
Our development approach is obviously more agile with Jira.
What do you like best about the product?
I love Jira as a project management platform because it has contributed to an improvement in the performance of my project team at the end of every project we partake in. By providing us with real-time analytical data, we are successfully measuring how each project team member has performed and identifying bottlenecks faced , which could be avoided to improve individual and overall team performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The predictive nature of jiras search function is practically unreliable. Will be nice if I can get suggestions of what I am looking for on jira, as I type a keyword. This will ensure that human-error such as typos do not affect my eventual result.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We rely on Jira to manage the entire software product development process in my organisation , from a project management view. A pivotal benefit of Jira to me has been the ability to customize the Jira software to align with our own unique software development and management process. This has really been helpful.
It has great features but can also be cumbersome

There are lots of ways to customize Jira for your teams and projects. You can capture a lot of different types of data in Jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like it is easy to over-engineer process because of the many functionalities in Jira.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documenting project information, automating tasks, logging time spent on tasks.

Make sure you don't over-engineer process. Determine what your needs are and then use Jira accordingly.

Jira is an extremely useful product for project management. Having being used it for 3 years, i feel that the UI is super user friendly .

Only addition to the features that I can think of is alarming notification for P0 issues

What do you like best about the product?
This tool supports most of the agile methodology like Scrum, Kanban and many more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its hard initial setup and complicate user interface makes it difficult to use for new people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are tracking, and managing all our ongoing agile software development projects including roadmaps , reports all we are managing through it only.
Jira is best tool for a clear view on project movement
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is used for transparency over tasks, efforts, comments and time spent on each issue. we can see all our tasks created there and can revisit anytime to fetch the details.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira does not show capacity and does not clearly show progress. It shows the detail in a task way where we can not control over individual wise if we can allocate him more tasks or not. it's not pure agile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira shows tasks from different epics and helps show the commits against it and also provides control over the task. It also gives an insight into the pending time and total time taken for the task.

I love the fact that we can adjust the settings. The customer service is amazing.

There is nothing I dislike, Jira is very accomodating and they adjust to our needs.

Fast, cool and useful
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to keep everything updated and tidy. Also, it allows for doing many things in a short time. We can follow all the steps with JIRA easily even we had hundreds of cards on the boards. It allows to implement some API's, too, which is a useful feature for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were some delays once, but they fixed them quickly. Not many things not to like.

We are using JIRA for the client info and the issues we are tracking to resolve.

What do you like best about the product?
Jira helps us to categorize and organize task times in a very optimal way, it has helped me a lot in my daily tasks

Actually, the disadvantages are few, the third-party integrations have improved a lot, perhaps more info for integrations with third-party time markers would be great, but little by little they are integrating new options on the market

- Paid plug-ins, like who is watching which issue currently.
- UI can be improved, to change the status of an issue, we can't choose from any dropdown menu, its done by clicking on buttons.

After using Service Now, GSM remedy, Connectwise & many other tools, I realized that JIRA is by far the easiest to work with.
The GUI is very clean and simple, it efficiently uses the computer resources, not choking other applications.
We can embed different projects, different dashboards and apply filters to issues.
We can also create one-time or recurring reports with chosen filters.
