What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Jira is the visibility and control it gives us when managing complex work. Being able to customize workflows, issue types, and fields means we can shape Jira around our real delivery process, rather than forcing teams to fit a rigid structure. The dashboards and reports also make it straightforward to monitor sprint progress, blockers, and cross-team dependencies, which has improved planning and cut down on follow-up meetings. On top of that, integrations with tools like Confluence and Git repositories help keep documentation, code, and delivery status aligned in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Jira is its complexity and steep learning curve, especially for non-technical users. Even basic tasks such as configuring workflows, fields, or permissions often require admin support, which can slow teams down. Over time, Jira instances can also become cluttered with too many custom fields and issue types, making navigation and reporting more difficult. In larger environments, performance may degrade as well. Streamlining configuration, improving performance at scale, and making common admin tasks easier to handle would significantly improve the overall user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before we started using Jira, our work was scattered across emails, spreadsheets, and meetings. That made it hard to understand ownership, priorities, and blockers in real time, and it often required extra follow-ups just to get a clear status. Jira addressed this by giving us a centralized place to track tasks, dependencies, and progress across teams. As a result, we have clearer accountability, stronger sprint planning, and more dependable delivery timelines. The reporting and dashboards also reduce the need for manual status updates and follow-up meetings, which saves time and helps us execute more smoothly overall.

What do you like best about the product?
Sprint Management - The Burndown charts and Kanban boards give a level of visibility that’s hard to beat. It’s the only way we can actually tell if a sprint is on track or if we’re about to miss a deadline.
The Ecosystem - The integration with Bitbucket, Slack, and Confluence is seamless. Having a ticket automatically update when a PR is merged saves a massive amount of manual status-chasing.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Setting up new projects or modifying permissions feels like navigating a labyrinth. It’s easy to get lost in the nested menus.
2. Bulk load stories are also painful at times.
3. On larger boards with hundreds of issues, the load times can definitely drag.

Jira Keeps My Work Organized with Effortless Tracking and Bitbucket Integration
What do you like best about the product?
Jira helps me stay organized without overthinking my work. I use labels, status tracking, comments, and the Bitbucket integration almost daily to keep tasks and code changes connected, which saves a lot of time. I also love that even if I forget which Git branch I was working on, everything is still linked and easy to trace. It’s become a tool I genuinely rely on to keep my day running smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s honestly nothing major to dislike so far. I’d love to see continued improvements, especially around deeper AI integration—such as auto-generating ticket descriptions, creating tickets automatically, and smart auto-assignment based on historical data and usage patterns. Features like these could make an already strong workflow even more efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira solves the chaos of scattered tasks and “who’s working on what” confusion. Before, things could easily get lost in chats or memory, but now everything—tasks, updates, comments, and code links—is in one place. It helps me stay focused, prioritize better, and avoid rework. I especially like that I can switch context and still come back without feeling lost because all the details are documented and easy to trace.
Simple, Clean UI That Makes Project & Time Tracking Easy
What do you like best about the product?
It’s easy to manage our projects and log the corresponding time for each one. The UI is also simple and clean, which makes it straightforward to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has a steep learning curve, slow performance, and sluggish loading speed. Also, creating and editing tickets can feel cumbersome and time-consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves a major time-logging problem and also helps create separate tickets for each step, so we can clearly define each user story.
A Great Platform for Seamless Cross-Team Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
It’s a great platform where developers, QA, product managers, and support teams can interact and exchange information easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
I preferred the previous UI and font; they were better than the current ones.

Sometimes it goes down and we can’t access our tasks, but it happens rarely. Also, the UI seems overloaded with features. Maybe Jira should think about better segmentation: if I’m a product designer, I don’t need all the advanced features.

The interface can also come across as cluttered, particularly in larger organizations where there are lots of customizations. Over time, an excess of custom fields, statuses, or workflows can end up making projects harder to manage rather than simplifying them.
Performance is another occasional pain point, especially with large backlogs or more complex JQL queries. On top of that, setting up advanced automations or building certain reports may require admin-level knowledge, which can slow teams down if they don’t have a dedicated Jira administrator.

It is possible to manage projects with multiple teams.

The entire ecosystem is very slow and confusing. To perform configurations is very complex, I don't like the design, it is not practical at all.
