JIRA Review
What do you like best about the product?
A great project tracking tool with a lot of transparency and visibility for the intended audience.
It is a very nice tool to implement SAFe at all levels - be it project level, program level, or portfolio level.
It is a very nice tool to implement SAFe at all levels - be it project level, program level, or portfolio level.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was an option to include members from other agile release trains to work on the same feature instead of creating another such feature separately for a different train and link it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I like the Structure view where I can query for different train features for a particular PI showing linked issues. I also like the Kanban boards with specific filters showing features in different stages like in funnel, in testing, in implementatipn, etc.
Highly customizable ticket system
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is highly customizable. You can change what you see to suit your workflow. From the ticket status flow to the dashboards to all the queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
The whole permissions management requires some head-wrapping to get familiar. Even now, I'm not sure who can see which tickets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our whole global group runs on Jira! From ticket tracking for business projects to the internal help desk, everything runs on Jira.
Best tool for product management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that all the user stories, spikes, bugs, and epics be interlinked and used as a traceability matrix. Sprint goals and reporting also can be done very accurately.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, there is nothing which I dislike about JIRA
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JIRA to write stories, map stories, and update bugs. It helps in keeping track of product details in one place.
Great Sprint Management Tool have ever used
What do you like best about the product?
We use Jira Software to manage and assign tickets and tasks, track work progress, and help with our internal QA process. It is used for our entire engineering team. It allows us to manage and time estimates of project work, which is necessary for assessing projected costs across multiple projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Jira occurred bugs, like when we assign the task to another person and close the ticket by cross icon; it refreshes the page and reopens that ticket on the screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Jira, our task management has improved.
All the tasks can be tracked on jira to overcome problems like what caused a delay in delivering the feature.

Great way to organize your work!
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is very configurable, which makes it easy to work in your environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation can be a little tricky. It's sometimes hard to find what I'm looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira is where how we organize our agile environment—making it easy to quickly change priorities while at the same time see our vision from the top down.

Excellent for Issues Tracking
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility of it, ability to restrict visibility to certain audiences, easyness to upload attachments, status management and variety of dashboard and issue types (can be used to track issues, change request, questions etc)
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, the level of customization in the dashboards is quite good, and I like the ability to use sql like queries or more user friendly ones for non developer
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to track properly blocking points in Jira, and get development and business teams using the same tool
Document formatting with jira plugins
What do you like best about the product?
In spite of being a web application, Jira documents are very intuitive to create with UI enhancement and features like support for components that are usually only available for web pages.
E.g., Dropdowns and grids are not available in any other text editor used for documentation
E.g., Dropdowns and grids are not available in any other text editor used for documentation
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the plugins, which are very important for software documentation, are very difficult to use.
Example: API documentation is one of the most important things while documenting a software, but there is negligible support in Jira to use any open API spec tool to document APIs

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Jira to share documents with my team regarding the software plans and architecture, along with Jira core for product management.
JIRA is a great software for task management.
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA has been very helpful for task organization on my team. We created lanes for each status of our tickets and teammates can move the tickets around depending on where it is in the project lifecycle.
What do you dislike about the product?
JIRA can be intimidating at first. For users that don't have experience it can take a while to understand the user interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As mentioned above, JIRA is my team's main source for task management. We pass projects down the pipeline and they are automatically assigned to the correct person depending on the status. Because of this we can move tickets along quickly and efficiently. We also created a template ticket which makes ticket creation easier for PMs.
Good software but Atlassian decides what's best for it's customers
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is one of the best Agile development project management solutions. You're able to create projects, epics, stories, tasks, sub-tasks, and bugs and manage it all well. It has a good ecosystem of plugins and once you've learned what it can do, it's relatively fast. For the longest time, I couldn't think of a replacement for it and only recently moved to Gitlab, which I find is still missing some features from Jira. It links easily with Bitbucket.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira is hard to maintain. There's a reason people get paid money just to keep it up and running. The upgrade process usually takes me a couple of days each time and it's nerve-wracking to think you could lose anything and any moment. It's also a bit intimidating for new users and I had a lot of trouble convincing colleagues to use it regularly. Lastly, and the real reason I switched to Gitlab, Atlassian is in charge of the product and don't seem to care what the customers think. There were thousands of votes for being able to change the default status and they ignored this feature request for years. Additionally, they switched to cloud without any option to keep a supported self-hosted version running. For those reasons, I saw the company going in a direction that I just couldn't support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used Jira for project management and estimation.
