One of the best Project Management software
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to break down a project into bits and pieces to manage it better - as well as adding how long you think this part of the project should take. You can type notes, adjust time frames and explain why it took longer if needed. It helps when you're waiting for someone to finish one part of a project so you can go ahead and start another and see where they are in the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't find much I didn't like about it. Occasionally I felt rushed when there were expected times to finish, but the project itself would take longer. It is more a personal preference per company to use the time allotted feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project management is the best resolution with Jira. Breaking down a project and assigning it to a specific person can make the process go faster, and the project may get done before the due date.
Great for cross company communication
What do you like best about the product?
Great for cross-function communication. when working with our engineers we like to have a fair amount of visibility into what stories we have on the road map, individual tasks that need to be accomplished, and who is responsible for each.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's pretty complex, so navigating is a bit complicated. It's not that I dislike it, just that I'm a new user and I'm not a project manager, so I don't have the background with terminology and the processes that inform the logic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product management and engineering management has been made easier with Jira. It is easy to communicate through comments and assign tickets back and forth. One of the key benefits is being able to have the organization use the same tool for different departments. This solves the issue of maintaining different tools and saves time from having to create additional integrations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
it is definitely complex in recording and monitoring. It can be a little bit busy and overly complicated at times but it is thorough in recording
Its Indispensable For Our Team Now
What do you like best about the product?
It has great integrations with other systems that we use. Confluence, bitbucket, and wiki are apparent, being from the same vendor, but it integrates great with Slack as well.
Easy to create workflows and customizations available.
Great search.
Very intuitive interface. The drag and drop status update makes it very easy to use.

What do you dislike about the product?
The multiple maintenance windows it needs, although that could be an internal thing.
A little slow for my liking, but I haven't seen a faster option, so it works for me.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for tracking work on our agile board. It has proven to be great for defect tracking and ticket management.
It's easy to keep track of all issues on any story with the great linking and dependency tracking it provides.
We also use it for effort tracking and effort reporting, where it fairs pretty okay as well.

It is not possible to delete tickets which are once created.
Difficult to review and manage swimlanes., this option could have been made a but more easy to manage.
Help options are not available at all the user levels. Sometimes become clumsy and complex.

Jira Ticketing
What do you like best about the product?
I like that everything is very centralized. You don't have to search in several different places for the same thing. Searching is made easy and they make it to where you can clearly label and distribute tickets
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike just the overall look. I think if they added a dark theme and maybe more colors other than blue I would . I also dislike that it is unclear when your ticket has been resolved
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are mostly solving software issues within jira for our product but we also use it for hardware troubleshooting as well.
Good tool for Task/Project tracking
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. Great for companies to use as a ticketing system for logging issues, creating tasks and projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its configuration is a little confusing. As for use, in the beginning, the user is somewhat lost due to many fields and features of the tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some of the benefits that I found useful are listed below. It helps track the number of tasks, whether it is a new feature, an issue or bug, or anything that requires some kind of tracking.
Solid Project Management Software
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is feature-packed, and the team is adding new features frequently. There are multiple views which makes it easy to view, sort, etc. The ability to deep clone items so you don't have to start from scratch each time is a huge time saver for our team. We also extensively use the ability to create child and grandchild elements in our projects. This allows for deep project management. Having thorough access settings is a must for project security and need to know project access and Jira executes it perfectly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The layout can be a bit confusing. It also feels a bit dated to me. I feel like the UI could be a bit more modernized. Initially it seemed like some basic elements were missing such as the ability to hide completed projects. This has since been completed, but it was a bit disconcerning to such a basic feature to be overlooked out of the gate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Jira to track multiple projects across several large teams. This software allows us to juggle many, many, small pieces without losing anything in the mix.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Thoroughly explore Jira's features to make sure it meets your needs for your team's projects.
Handy collaboration and project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use ticket management system. Kanban boards are easy to manage and maintain. Seamless integration with outlook server for getting real-time updates and notification on tickets. Option to link and host documents within Jira using Project links option. easy to use features for custom designing and managing workflowss.
What do you dislike about the product?
Settings part is a bit clumsy and complex. no delete button for removing an epic, story or prod bug. Help or explanation options are not handy everywhere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Jira, we have been able to easily manage cross-functional and cross-department teams spread across different time zones. All the changes can be easily traced, and appropriate actions and decisions could be planned on time. Also, filters and dashboards make it very easy to analyze and understand the whole project scenario.
Ideal tool for agile processes.
What do you like best about the product?
Jira stands out from other agile project tools primarily due to the freedom it affords me and my team to customize Jira to fit into our company project workflows. Jira also comes by default with important agile workflow templates like kanban or scrum and integrates with important project tools like Confluence and Git.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira offers quite limited reporting, which makes it a good tool for planning agile processes but not a perfect tool for project management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira has been most useful for efficient tracking of all aspects of our product development processes - tasks, user stories, test cases , bugs etc
