Organization and collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
it helps keep projects organized and the updates, comments, and ability to watch an issue are awesome
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't get cards to mirror between boards, even with Unito
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
solving the problem of forgetting what work I've done on older projects
Simple and Great Tracker.
What do you like best about the product?
One of the finest ticket tools I have used. It is too simple to navigate and, best among all. It doesn't look messy and easy to operate in your day-to-day activity. Fabulous software.
What do you dislike about the product?
Raw reports are a bit messy. It could have been more refined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it for 10+yrs, a Great experience! Well designed and relatively easy to operate. Easy to track tickets and tasks. Great product.
Jira makes managing projects easy and rewarding
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Jira allows for various custom fields, task types, filtering options, swim lanes, and methods of sprint organization. I also love the use of custom swimlanes to indicate which step of a development workflow any particular ticket belongs to. The activity tracking in Jira is also very intuitive and comprehensive. I like that profile pictures of users currently working on tickets are shown and made clear on the Kanban board. Being able to quickly access properties of a ticket from the Kanban board is also very user-friendly and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly appreciate that Jira can be somewhat complicated for new users to pick up on; however, given how many options are available to Jira users, this is practically impossible to avoid. The complexity is inevitable with such customizable software, and I don't fault Jira for it at all. I can't think of anything else I particularly dislike about the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage our team's tasks and projects, plan sprints and milestone goals, categorize tickets into different groups based on priority and type, and manage workflows using Jira. This has benefitted our team tremendously by allowing us to measure our progress and effectively pass work off between team members. Commenting on tickets has also allowed us to relay information quickly. Tagging other Jira users in these comments makes for a highly effectives means of getting things done on time, all while documenting past issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend using Jira if you want a fully fleshed-out means of organizing a complex project.
Not user friendly at all
What do you like best about the product?
Kanban boards really help to manage teams. But it takes a ton of time and effort to figure out how to set it up with myriads of obstacles you need to overcome.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overly complicated, offering actions and steps that you can't actually do (workflows are a nightmare). Moving you from one view to a completely different one without letting you know. UI not well designed. Messy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing my product team
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Stay away
Great product management software
What do you like best about the product?
We use JIRA as the product management tool and as a developer working on a product is really smooth. I can understand the ticket flow and roadmap. I also efficiently prioritize my tickets based on the urgency assigned to each ticket.
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything is great, but I feel it would be cool if we can get Dark theme added to JIRA.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product management
Recommendations to others considering the product:
No not right now. I think JIRA has everything I need. But I think it would be better if Dark theme was enabled by default.
Powerful Software with A Lot of Use Cases
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy Jira makes it to create and review tasks, as well as move them through an agile process. The Jira boards are simple and are great for individual work. I first saw Jira used by our software team and then used it personally when I was leading our agile marketing effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira is great for agile processes, but not a great project management tool. Quite a few areas of the platform require workarounds and offer limited reporting. These have been improved over the years, but there is still a bit to be desired. Jira serves a different purpose than something like Monday.com, but it would be nice to see more development on the project management side.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I initially used Jira for agile marketing processes. This included spring planning and execution where we tracked our progress over a two-week period - using Jira - and then would come together to discuss what went well and what could be improved. Additionally, we leverage confluence, which is connected to Jira, for documentation sharing, which has been helpful for all functions in the organization.
You need to be tech savvy
What do you like best about the product?
There is endless options for creating tickets in different categories for different platforms
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the relevant categories are not available upon creation of the ticket to select the proper grouping. This leads to it being auto populated as the same group for all tickets unless you go back into a created ticket and manually change these fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating and grouping tickets for multiple programs and platforms. Being able to create them separately and very specifically makes exporting for data analysis much easier
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Review tickets after creating/submitting them for fields that auto populated
Jira best agile planner
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of organizing tasks using blocks and columns for different processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
At ease with the entire platform. I don't have any problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task distribution between teams.
JIRA: The Best Collaborating Tool for an Organization
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA makes it much easier to work with several teams. Project management in JIRA is pretty straightforward, and work can be allocated to the appropriate team member in a systematic manner. The best part about this tool is that it keeps every member of an organization up to date on how a project is developing on a regular basis. This tool's Agile implementation is very impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
JIRA is a mature program that is still improving. As a result, an individual may encounter a variety of difficulties, such as: When I initially started using this program, I was concerned that it was so large and feature-rich that learning how to use it properly would take a long time. The number of files that may be uploaded is quite restricted. A task's statistics reports and charts have yet to be developed. Because it is so adaptable, editing or administering any modifications can be time consuming. A statistics report or chart must be available through the Dashboard function (i.e. graphical representation).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JIRA contains boards, which help a lot in terms of creating maximum output in the shortest amount of time by allowing people to see how the project is progressing, take on the next job that has been assigned to them, and see what's remaining. Using comments and assigning tickets back and forth is really simple. You have the option of creating your own customized dashboard. The tasks allocated to you, time taken and time remaining specifics of a job, and bugs issued to you, among other things, may all be seen on the dashboard. A member's Dashboard is completely in his or her control. This tool is quite beneficial for an employee's self-evaluation because it displays both his or her productivity and performance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try to create your Dashboard much interesting and creative yet simple.
Log Daily. You will not be burdened at the end of the month to log all your work done in that month.
Log Daily. You will not be burdened at the end of the month to log all your work done in that month.
Great for organizing complicated workflows
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a big fan of Jira for product management. When working with our engineers we like to have a fair amount of visibility into what stories we have on the road map, individual tasks that need to be accomplished, and who is responsible for each. Jira makes it easy to organize all the above. I also love how easy it is to arrange and update sprint planning. Automatically moving incomplete tasks to the new sprint is a nice feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira can be a bit confusing if not maintained. Granted, this is probably more of a human error feature than a result of their software, but perhaps it could be addressed. I think the backlog flows could be a bit neater and it would be nice to be able to structure them into folders or tiers (ie UX, Admin, Function, etc) in the full view. It's also a bit difficult and cluttered when working with very large teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product management and engineering management has been made easier with Jira. Structuring and monitoring sprint and story progress is largely helped by this platform. It's made aligning goals easier and more efficient as roadmap is pretty easily discerned by anyone with access. I believe it's also improved our ability to track feature requests and bugs especially when folks add details to tickets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think the usefulness of Jira depends on your team size. I think it's fantastic if you have divided or small team structures but could be extremely cluttered if you have a large swath of engineers working on random tasks and not focused on single stories.
