Jira for project management
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use of keeping track of user stories/tasks on the sprint board; it helps keep everything clean and organized when working on sprints.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please take advantage of the free learning tools they have to get you started.
Complicated, but very thorough
What do you like best about the product?
It's functionally intuitive. The mechanics of using this tool are not difficult at all to figure out as you go. Want to see details for an epic/issue/task? Click on it. Edit? Click "Edit." Make a comment? Click "Comment." Add pretty much anything? Click the nearby plus (+) icon.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's pretty complex, so navigating is a bit complicated. It's not that I dislike it, just that I'm a new user and I'm not a project manager, so I don't have the background with terminology and the processes that inform the logic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for project management, time tracking, effort tracking, Agile development, and probably other areas/tasks in which I'm just not involved. It started out as a tool that just the PM team used, but now, 4-5 years later, pretty much the entire IT division (between 100-200 people) has to use it for one reason or another, so our leadership team must have realized some profound benefits.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira is great for all teams who want to work efficiently!
Project Management Software Great for Large Teams!
What do you like best about the product?
Jira makes working across multiple teams very easy and helps to keep everything well documented. Projects are easy to organize and link to different brands ("epics"). Makes it simple to assign tasks to people and also keep people in the loops on progress as a "watcher" of a ticket. I find looking through past tickets as an easy way to keep track of information or find resources and references for new projects. It is also easy to update workflows and make lists of priorities for teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira recently changed the way comments show up. While this is not a big issue, I find myself spending much more time now looking for the information I need. It also now shows all URLs "inline" and while this looks much cleaner, when I am working with developers I need them to see the full URL and parameters and need to always switch these manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps us complete projects and work across teams to do so. It is easy to communicate through comments and assign tickets back and forth. I enjoy how customizable the program is so you can really make it fit to what you need and what works best for your organization.
