A great project tracking tool from the Atlassian Ecosystem
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA is used by us for tracking our strategic work in public cloud space. It's Kanban dashboard is a great view to have while you do your daily stand-up calls.
It also has great integration into other Atlassian tools like JSD and Confluence, and we use it all! Having tracking done and documentation flow across all these products make project management (tracking) much-much easier for us.
To add, it has many features such as components, labels which can be configured to create rich filters and JIRA dashboards. We publish these dashboards to our customers through confluence and it works out great!
Finally, their multitude of various plugins available to created

What do you dislike about the product?
Jira tool has option to customize your workflows but this access should be available to Project Administrators. It's a real struggle to work with IT to get your own custom workflows created.
Furthermore, their automation capabilities are limited. You can use "JIRA Automation" to modify your Issues but that's about it. On the contrary, ServiceNow comes with its own fully operational orchestrator which helps you do a lot of backend automation within the tool itself.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a team of individual contributors who manage public cloud infrastructure for the whole company. We work on variety of stuff and JIRA helps us track everything through different Issue Types. Every week we look at our Kanban dashboard to review existing stories and pick stuff from Selected for Development.
We have also created customized workflows for tracking our acquisition work where standard statuses doesn't help. These acquisition type Issues are further designed into a dashboard for consumption by various teams such as Finance, Sourcing, Acquired folks or even executives.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
JIRA is a great tool for tracking strategic work but if you'd like to track Ops work, you may have to look at Atlassian's other product Jira Service Desk (JSD).
If you're using Atlassian ecosystem, no need to look further but if you'd like to use a tracker tool with in-built orchestration workflows, you can evaluate ServiceNow or BMC offerings.

Easy Tracking of Projects
What do you like best about the product?
We can easily add the project using the template. Its very easy to assign the Assignment. Easy to add the subtasks to the Existing tasks. The Time log, Start Date ,End Date ,comments will help us to track how much effort is being put for a ticket. Links, Images and attachments can be easily added to the tickets. Generating report is very useful and helpful to track large projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no feature which tells us Changes are not saved when we move from one ticket to another. Sometimes we miss the save the changes made. Auto Save feature would be great here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Task Management ! We can divide one main task into subtasks and can be assigned to multiple people.
World renowned tool for managing projects
What do you like best about the product?
This is mind blowing tool. It is totally a feature rich product. Its interface is incredibly easy to use. It has superb ability of customizing projects. It is perfect tool for tracking issues and bugs. It let us organize the progress of each and every individual story. The learning seems to be steep in the beginning but it becomes super powerful after you get habitual.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't seen any Cons yet. Initially you may find it difficult to use but after getting familiar with it you just love to use this. It has capability to serve all the purposes in best ways.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is the best tool for managing defects. It is a great tool for creating different workflows for running multiple projects. Another good thing about it is that it gives us the opportunity of personalizing your pages as well as flows.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is absolutely a great tool. It offers splendid interface for developers and operators. It is excellent tool to plan work and track progress. This tool will help you in managing priorities efficiently. I suggest this tool for tracking development cycle.
Lots of fuctionality, access rights just loading times often bad for many users
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to customize e.g. company internal attributes and status values
What do you dislike about the product?
Main source of updates on tickets is still email, no aggregated/summary page of tickets people commented on etc.
Loading times of dashboards, ticket lists (backlog etc) or individual tickets sometimes super long.

Product Management, writing requirements, sorting backlog, distributing work...
Jira is an excellent Agile product to manage work, use cases, requirements, development & much more
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it can be customized to your team or group who works in an Agile fashion, whether Scrum or Kanban. I enjoy being able to track our work and view burndown/up charts and customizing swim lanes to show status of work, tasks, and/or bugs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira "Confluence" needs some help in creation of pages. It's not user-friendly and while we use Confluence, it's a bit intimidating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have become more Agile with the use of Jira and it has a well-managed workflow mapping for tracking work as well as releases during a sprint.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As mentioned above, make Jira 'Confluence' more user friendly. It can e more difficult to navigate.
Useful for small and largescale projects/goals
What do you like best about the product?
It helps me keep track of my progress each quarter and see what is left to do of my personal responsibilities within the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have admittingly been slower to understand Jira as I find the formatting confusing. There is a lot to learn and understand. I do not shy away from our quarterly goals board, however, looking at home page I noticed there is a user guide! I am going to utilize that immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to breakdown all of our goals for all aspects of the company to ensure we are always being productive. It helps us stay on track and to find leeway whenever we are faced with something unexpected, like Covid-19.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I do recommend Jira! Although I am personally not the most savvy with it, it has helped us keep track of everything we do and need to do. If I can use it, so can you!

Great tool for software development shop... anyone else, not so much
What do you like best about the product?
Once you understand their parlance, the tool is easy to use and is quite flexible... maybe too flexible
What do you dislike about the product?
We attempted to use this as a PM tool, and it’s really not designed for that. This isn’t their issue, its ours, but regardless...
The tool is very much built for software development. Anyone else, buyer beware

What do you like best about the product?
I really like that Jira does such a good job of facilitating communication between the dev team, the product team, and management. As a product manager, I especially appreciate getting all the email updates on the various features I'm pushing through. It just makes it so much easier to get things pushed through quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes things get communicated through Jira, but there isn't a great way of pinging people on issues they may have forgotten or are ignoring. I wish you could resend notifications about things. Granted an email or message on slack does fine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've integrated Jira with Productboard and we're using it to easily transition our features from our roadmap onto the dev teams kanban board, and the product team is able to monitor the progress of feature development from both sides.
