What do you like best about the product?
Ease of informational context and association. I use this product everyday and with the use of the simple language and contextaul help, learning to use it from day one was not very difficult.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the servers are not very responsive, leading me to have to 'retry operation' alot
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a product owner, so software development and bug tracking
Great interface for developers and operations teams alike!
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is feature rich yet still intuitive and easy to use. It has the ability to customize the workflows based upon project, enforce rules based upon your business (you can force a peer review, for example), and it is relatively straight forward to add customized options for additional data collection (what environment the case impacts, the release branch, etc). The API is powerful and we have used it with our automation, and we have used it to pull data down to do additional number crunching.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface keeps changing. It's painful. Once you get used to the flow of the UI, the Atlassian team changes it. Then they made it end-user customizable, so at the same organization, you can have two people sitting next to one another looking at the same case and their view could look completely differently. Makes it very hard to support.
While the configuration interface is slick, it has its quirks. Very often you have to try several different ways before you can get a workflow to behave in the way that you intended.
It does not take long before you start straining the user interface for the configurations. It can get complex quickly.
There is a lot to be said for the reporting side, especially when it comes to reporting on custom fields.
You get a lot more flexibility by hosting your own Jira instances, but that is extremely expensive compared to the hosted Jira.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking of all issues. Supporting our Agile Scrum and Kanban usage. Integration into the automation of our deployments. Reporting of the health of the teams, the capacity planning, the future planning. It is all there right out of the box.
Effective bug tracking tool
What do you like best about the product?
Jira provides a user friendly interface. Customization as the organization need is also possible. Jira Software is used to capture & organize issues, assign work & track team activity. Really good for automating workflow progress can be tracked and follow-up can be made.
What do you dislike about the product?
The configuration is difficult. To assume a new user to get it done rightly is not possible. It's a great but expensive solution
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The task tracking and overall reporting are superb. If configured properly, nothing will be missed on any updates.

The Best team management software I have come across so far
What do you like best about the product?
- Jira has everything you wish for managing the team except video conferencing.
-Jira is more focussed on the agile method of implementing software development.
- I am giving this review for development based company's view, and managing multiple projects and getting reports cant get easier and convenient than this.
- The best part is that you can create multiple projects and make project-centric tickets and assign it to your team.
-It is so customizable that you can define the various stages through which your ticket (or task) has to go before it is resolved.
- you can assign different privileges to different users in your organization depending on whether he/she is a developer, manager, software tester etc.
- the software development sprints can be created with each having different version names and
the tasks or tickets created can be set in each sprint.
- Jira shows the activity of the users on the tickets, the user can comment, add attachments and the whole of the discussion can be documented in the comments itself.
-Jira also gives the facility for a time log of the work, user can log the work done by him in a day , he/she can plan the work to be done for a day or particular days, weeks.
-The tasks can be sorted as per the nature of the tasks like bugs, documentation task, testing task, new tasks, feature, improvements.
- The same tasks can have the tag which tells you how critical is the issue, like most critical, blocker, low priority. so we can set the priority of tasks in a given sprint

What do you dislike about the product?
-There's is pretty much everything that Jira can do, only drawbacks are its bit of complicated to use
more the software is customizable and more the number of features, more and more complex it gets.
- Video calling or conferencing tool or integration of any such tool will be a boon.
- whenever the files are attached in the ticket, the files come under attachments section and only its name is linked in the comment, so it's difficult to sort what attachments were available for original ticket and what was added later.
-The video attachment cannot be played in the browser, for me, it gets downloaded on my machine.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The team management is the best with jira, you have all the reports of work done by the employees in the organization, you can keep track of the amount of work pending, the efforts put in. This all data can be used to improve organization coordination and management in the subsequent sprint.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
- A must use for managing large teams with multiple projects
- Use this tool to review the work and issues in your organization from the reports generated and improve the organization output and ethics.

The best Tool for perfect Agile process.!
What do you like best about the product?
Jira platform is huge and can be designed based on the requirement and make it easy . the search capabilities in jira is amazing with applied filters to the same. user dashboards that are available is very good to use and makes the user manage their work in their own dashboards. also sharing the dashboards to others user with permission based is amazing so that we save a lot of rework and the make the most of reusability. Jira offers a huge range of inbuilt gadgets that includes analytics, templates etc which are most real time usable with great user experience. Overall Jira is an amazing application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to mention. this looks perfect to me. Can make it very simple or make it very complex based on the requirements. so its all configurable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being perfect Agile company by using the jira boards. transparency in the work progress. road maps and proper planning. I believe this is the one of the key for the organization to be on successful deliverables .
Recommendations to others considering the product:
without proper planning about the product development, it would be difficult to achieve success. so the solution is to use Jira
Excellent Agile Project Management and Software Development tool with room for customization!
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Jira is that it keeps me productive and efficient. It allows me to clearly understand my capacity and velocity and clearly forecast and estimate the level of effort needed for my tasks and set clear expectations of what can be done in a Sprint. I love having the ability to have multiple boards within the same project as this allows cross-functional teams to collaborate more easily. Story point estimation is great and linking issues with each other provides fantastic transparency and visibility into the work. Being able to create advanced filters is great to find issues easily. Great to have a backlog of items to pull from for work into the current Sprint. Excellent integrations with many tools so makes document management easy as well. Jira serves as a single source of truth for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the reporting abilities within Jira are not up to the mark. Most of them are just not useful and irrelevant. The sprint reports and burn down charts are hard to understand. There is no way to create simple reports if I just wanted to see all my tasks and story points across all boards that I have assigned tasks in by sprint all in one view. Cannot have more than one backlog in one board. Cannot have multiple sprints running in the same board at the same time. These usually constrain our use cases and we have to have some manual workarounds for these which means additional non-value added work. The dashboard and gadgets available within the dashboard are also pretty limited but overwhelming at the same time. It would be nice if Jira had some good training material to self-serve some of my requests rather than having to reach out to a Jira admin all the time. Rose based permissioning is also not automated and a highly manual process there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems we are solving with Jira include agile project management and software development. We use it track project outcomes and success metrics as well. We use Jira to break down large chunks of work into bite sized pieces and work on that in sprints. We use Jira to identify and work through dependencies between other teams as well.
An error and problem tracker and a versatile work tracking platform.
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about this software is that fields are detailed and self-explanatory when tracking every user story, and there is a software guide too if you want to know the specifics of any area. For example, you can design summary fields like bold colors, etc. this also benefits when recording faults. It's simple to understand user posts, too. Second, it's possible to attach screenshots. You can directly copy-paste the screenshot. Third, the quest problem is a positive one. Context and information are well preserved. You can scan and sort tickets for any area, and there's an automated scan where you can compose a question to search for problems. You can add erase columns and you can even download an excel or a CSV file. These findings allowed us to generate analyses that were then submitted to senior management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one big challenge I've encountered is that the change from an older user interface to a current one is very frustrating; the user interface is not compatible when we access email update URLs. And also, Jira is very fast, but it's not easy to implement, it requires several days to complete the system as required. It would be awesome if there were models for the boilerplate templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The overall experience was incredibly positive. Jira is meant to project preparation tools and together with Jira Support Desk and multiplicity which we are using, it's a really strong software application. I've also experienced others, but I've always returned to Jira because of its universal recognition and convenience of use.
Great tool for project management

We use this tool for agile project management and software development in our company. All of our software development sprints are done using this software. It is really great tool for collaboration, agile workflow. Also, we track bugs using this tool, it is really effective. I can't imagine project management and software development workflow without this tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not very intuitive at first but when you understand the logics of it, this tool is great. So you need to spend some time when onboarding new team members.
