JIra a very much needed tool for any IT development project.
What do you like best about the product?
Its very simple and intuitive to use. My team was able to navigate without any guidance. They can easily find what they need in the tool. No documentation required, no training required.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira Admin needs a lot of improvement. Also I would like the get Jira Cloud hosted on my custom domain - which is very common now a days for Cloud based multi tenant systems - missing in Jira.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT development lifecycle end to end is managed via Jira. Its integration with Bitbucket helps my team code management easy. CI/CO is also easy - I was able to schedule my builds and vice versa.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira is a powerful tool much needed for any organisation. It almost nullifies all the excel work to track features and defects. A great tool which is very much reliable.
JIRA used for Artificial Intelligence Start-up
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share status easily between team members is very efficient. The variety of options between the roadmap, kanban board, and other views make the progress being done by each time much more easily visualized.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took my team and I quite a while to figure out how to use JIRA to the best of its ability (and we still don't know much). I think if more add-on applications had something like 'official recommendations' from JIRA for use by certain teams, the product would be much more easily customized based on the business and teams using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started using JIRA to solve the problem of how much time it was actually taking us to complete projects. Being a start up, we had very poor tracking mechanisms on an engineering side. Being the project manager, I helped our team figure out how to break up work into parts and assign time & difficulty to the cards. We have found out where our pain points were in development based on time and rapidly reduced those timeframes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Unfortunately, I haven't really had the time or endorsement from my personal leadership to take this under my belt as a ground-level user, but I believe it would be worth an investment to really dive into what add-ons in JIRA would best benefit you and your team(s).
Daily User of Jira
What do you like best about the product?
In general, for planning an execution of software development work in an Agile world, there is no better software tool than Jira. It's the type of application that is the lifeblood of a software development organization. We use the product on a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
The administration can be difficult at times. Atlassian has a lot of products and the support for them seems to be decentralized which can make it challenging at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a software development shop building a sales technology for sales enablement leaders. We need to document the work items that are divided up among the development team on a weekly basis. We also use it for bug tracking. We do one week sprints. Jira provides us the ability to stay organized and always informed about the current state of the sprint. It's easy to look back and see what has been accomplished from sprint-to-sprint when documenting our progress for our quarterly reporting to our VC.
Get underway with JIRA to gain greater efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
The opportunity to add colleagues in comments guarantees seamless communications between broader teams. The production board and filters allow the monitoring of stories and problems from different sources. Jira is perfect for big companies with several parallel ventures going on. Between the various Projects and Dashboards, you can turn back and forth easily, and also replicate narratives or glitches from various programs. It also assists in collaboration of a specific Working Team while you have Problems. We could quickly add someone in that squad, or clone the problem, and delegate this before their next Sprint for growth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Under those instructions you will not renege a venture. By that I imply you really had to allocate a navigating journey instead of choosing a customizable status spot. The template is slightly obsolete. Projects are not delegated to the poster immediately, and you may fail to apply it to an essential initiative because there are loads of tickets available. There are no day marks also on seat description to support you arrange according to preferences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira has enabled our staff have greater control into all the projects a individual operates there in a period. It really is easy to log in easily, to see how growing plan is. They are therefore willing to explain to our leadership how much research the team performs in a single week.

UX is not really that great. It is a little difficult to navigate and look up historical stuff

Mainly following up on my tickets from a sales perspective but it's also great for checking in on product roadmaps and other projects and issues
Jira Usage
What do you like best about the product?
What I liked about using jira is that, via jira I can manage multiple projects, all their issues arrange them according to their priority, manage their accessibility, & severance status, &can assign them to my fellow colleagues, allowing me to also track the status of the issue currently being worked upon.
Also, I can classify issues as backlog, selected for development, in progress & completed, which makes our lives hell lot of easier.

What do you dislike about the product?
What I disliked about jira is that even if it provides so many features, it is expensive to use, maintain, & also, I didn't get much help from the jira service desk, which was requested while setting up.
Also, their are some limitations upon its use, as jira for mobile, is not much user friendly, as I thought it would be.

It has records of everything in each bug, test case, user story, feature and epic. I am able to link it with qTest and find it really helpful that test cases can be easily linked to bugs reported in JIRA.
