Software Bug Reporting Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is a software planing and bug reporting tool. We use jira as a bug reporting tool where we report all bugs in a under developed software via jira and after fixing them QA team also update the status of pending bugs on jira.
What do you dislike about the product?
All features are available in this tool so there is no need to dislike this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before jira, we report bugs though emails which are very difficult to handle and there tracking were also very difficult. Then e switch to jira, here we created different sprints for different software. Now our QA team report bug via jira and development team also report on jira after fixing that specific bug. This activity make reporting for top management very easy, they can now extract time taking report on few clicks and also identify where the task is taking extra time.

Good tool for Project management and Programmes.
What do you like best about the product?
Jira provides very good UI for Project management and issue tracking. The customisation is very user friendly and the various report dashboards are very useful information as regular routine.
What do you dislike about the product?
The BI can be implemented. we are using third party tool for it, which is quite helpful but even it's has own limitation. User friendly BI can be enabled for users.

Jira is a wonderful tool for project Management
What do you like best about the product?
we are using this tool for tracking project stories in every sprint. Easy to post and track bugs related to the projects. It is very useful and resources get notify on their task/issues whenever created. So team can align easily their day to day task/issues to focus and resolve.
What do you dislike about the product?
updating logging hours manually. it will be better if have automatic time logs based on resource effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using jira dashboard for project management tracking. Used In the initial stage of sprint to End of sprint. Day to day scrum happening using the jira board and allocate task to the resources. easy to track and assign to resource based on work level and move on jira state(dev, QA, Review, Reslove state) up to complete the task. Amazing tool for the project deliverables followups and to tracking the task and Bugs.
Customisable boards for organising tasks
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Jira has multiple boards where we can track all our different departments and the ongoing projects. You can assign yourself or others to the projects and each project shows how many days have passed when the last update has been. Some boards allow you to use both internal and external notes which can further help with organization and productivity. You have the ability to move projects across the boards by status which is great if you have different team members working at different lines of production. Starring and favouriting boards is also an option which is very appealing if you use some boards more often than others. Each board has a customisable icon for easy identification
What do you dislike about the product?
You cannot backtrack a project without certain commands. By this I mean you have to assign a navigation journey rather than being able to select a customizable status location. The design is slightly outdated. Projects are not automatically assigned to the poster so you forget to assign it you might miss out on an important project if there are lots of existing tickets open. No date stamps on the ticket outline to help you organize based on priority.

Ensuring all queries are addressed, following internal policies and procedures

Trial it out with your staff first, it involves multitasking so may not be for everyone

What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely adore everything Jira's functionalities, especially it is easy to manage the sprint activities It prevents everyone a great amount of effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
A strong and effective tool for Handling Project Tasks and we have never noticed any issues with this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has the best and quickest design which is also fast to customize, we have never had any trouble in accessing it. JIRA presents us with numerous agenda which help us improve further successful collaboration strategies across several systems.
Jira for Customer Feedback
What do you like best about the product?
We use JIRA for many use cases but I've especially found it useful to track customer feedback and organize into themes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Trello seemed to be a little better at feedback collection visually speaking
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing customer feedback. We are finding it much easier to align with our product team to discuss topics and customer feedback themes.

What do you like best about the product?
Centralized location is beneficial for projects. We have the ability to track time costs assign workflows to the project and provide notification to requesters. User feedback is collected as well to rate the performance of service deck personnel. Can plan for time, print reports of SLA.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although there are many third party plugins for the product , configuring these plugins can be a little challenging at times. Also not all projects can allowed for general notification. Example, if a service ticket is moved or escalated to a different project , if the other project does not have notification assigned to it then once the project is completed the user does not get notification. By default I believe they should.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our organization Jira is used as a service desk and project management tool. Using jira as a service desk allows us to track and manage all help desk items , reporting against these items, time to resolution, notifying individuals when the issue has been resolved , and provides for a well established service level agreements within the application.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira can fit many needs, it can serve as a project management software, software development like lifecycle tool , and as a service desk application. If you're looking for an application that can manage multiple needs , I suggest taking advantage of the trial version of Jira.

What do you like best about the product?
This software has great interface to use even the mobile app is also easy to use. The third part integration is very effective to use slack for conversation. it simply tracks our project tasks and manage them according to deadlines. The best thing is integration with GitHub helps in tracking code. It helps in seeing changes in code that are made and why. It enables easy releases and manage them. The platform creating test cases and running regression testing smoothly. the ability of tracking each task with its coworkers is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes a lot time in loading, for some of its tools which are build in are needed to buy license to use them. Navigation is sometimes feeling like headache. The locking task option sometime makes problem for other to unlock it because it cannot be done and time wasting. The page loading is very slow in Jira. There must be a feature to add reminder for some important tickets and plugins are very hard to add sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had been facing problem in maintaining tasks and assigning it to team members. This implementation of Jira in our project management department solved these problems easily and now all the tasks can be assigned to every team member easily and track their performances based on deadlines. Now we do not need to worry about their progress all can be tracked by this software and team collaboration made easy after this implementation now all we can use different platforms like slack, GitHub on it.
Great for tracking development requests
What do you like best about the product?
It's an inexpensive cloud based tool so you can have team members outside of your organization. It is easy to configure and add custom fields if desired. Kanban and Epic boards are great. You can integrate it with Confluence. Creating dashboards is very easy and the filter logic is awesome. I love that you can set priorities and be a watcher to get notifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
The workflow set up can be a little difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used it to track issues for a large enterprise project. Then expanded it to cover development requests, functional tasks, and testing. With the use of custom fields, we were able to create dashboards for different teams but still have a consolidated management view of the entire project. We've continued to use it for all development requests.
Not Just for Tech Companies
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is great for task management, but what sets it apart from other task management systems is that it gives valuable data on the amount of work your team can feasibly complete in a given timeframe. It also helps teams to reflect on their work for improvements. It automatically provides charts and graphs showing the work your team completed. It is also great for projects that involve people from different teams to be able to work together.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira is difficult to learn. The process of learning and running sprints is a huge undertaking, but once you master it your organization will never be the same.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira has helped our team to have more visibility on all of the tasks each person is working on in a week. It is easy to do a quick check-in and see where each project is. We are also able to show our leadership the amount of work being done by the team in a given week.
