JIRA - One Place for End to End Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
From Service Desk where I can log all my opportunities and Software where all the converted leads into actual work can be tracked using Agile. Agile is most recommended as I m using it from than 5 years and in 3 different organization like Capgemini, United Health Group and SoftwareONE.
What do you dislike about the product?
Backend Automation and Post actions in the workflow can have more options as I have experienced that after creating issue in JIRA , need to update JIRA Issue ID in the external custom created tool by company and its really difficult to call the external API in it using post scripts. Like I am into Automation Consulting, I feel JIRA should create some plugins to have connection with different RPA Tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere and BluePrism so that developer can create bugs and issues from the Tool itself by running a script or small piece of code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem and how the JIRA rsolved are:-
1. Opportunity Tracker
2. On Hold Leads
3. Closed Opportunities
4. Opportunities Rejected
5. Opportunities converted into Actual Leads
6. Project Tracker
7. Burn Up and Down Project Tracking
8. Bug Tracking

Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend JIRA as a single bundle to have the Service Desk - which can be used in multiple ways. For Eg:- if you're into Development, then Service Desk can be used as Opportunity Tracker and else into support then Service Desk for request and incidents. Secondly, Project Tracker and Bug Tracker, where Agile can be easily implemented and tracked.
Get start with JIRA for more productivity

JIRA is one of the best organizing tool that has inter linked our various departments. And it has facilitated the transparent processing of event that was taking place in various departments. Now we are at ease to track back a certain process and it has enabled us to generate the real time reporting. It is only possible through JIRA that we are can relate our numerous systems together so that we can better figure out new plans.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have not faced any major issue yet. Sometime we faced the problem of slow upload of files and report generation, but it got better with good internet connection. But a steep learning curve is required for extracting the best out of it.

Best product management tool I have used so far
What do you like best about the product?
Here are the key features which I like about JIRA, and I am an end-user, not an administrator.
1. Fluid UI: The interface of the web app is excellent compared to other tools I have used. All the tickets are readily available on the dashboard.
2. Easy to use: Though a JIRA ticket has a lot of fields, I still find it easy to use, and with UI revamp, it's easy to comment, update and tag.
3. Mobile app: I also use the JIRA Android app, and I must say it is not difficult to use it either. The application is smooth and does all the necessary work.
4. 3rd Party Integration: I have integrated JIRA with the Slack, and it is so easy to comment and get updated with the status of the tickets.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Search: I think this is one thing where JIRA needs to improve, though its better than many others, but the search could be better. After a long project, it gets too difficult to find tickets.
2. Mobile app screen: I wish the JIRA app can allow marking a particular board as favorite so end-user can easily switch between 2-3 boards. Its such a hectic process to switch from one board to another under a project.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
At the moment, Jira is the best project management tool available especially for a large team.
Versatile task management
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is a terrific task manager for both individuals and teams. Sprint management tools have made complex cross functional efforts much more efficient for my organization. I love that multiple teams within the same department can plan their sprints together and maintain individual lists and point totals. Robust notification options also make manager/lead visibility on agent tickets very easy. Analytical tools are also great.
What do you dislike about the product?
Subtasks don't show up in high-level sprint views, which renders them almost useless for our team. There are instances where subtasks would be appropriate for us to utilize, but the lack of visibility within the main sprint view is limiting for us.
Rich text formatting in ticket descriptions and comments can be frustrating. Simple things like paragraph formatting, lists with multiple tiers, and hyperlinking in particular are unintuitive and inconsistent.
Would like a more robust way to track time spent on a task.

Would like a more robust way to track time spent on a task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Jira to manage granular task progress and ownership in a team environment, as well as to manage my own work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira is a solid task management system, but anticipate a time investment to set it up in a way that will best benefit your team.
Transparent Task Management, Planning, and Tracking
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to customize the software to your business needs. The ease of use and visual display and management capability of multiple tasks and projects. Integration with other platforms. As mentioned below, also increased transparency and collaboration ability.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of features out of the box increases the barrier for entry of smaller organizations to make good use of the software initially. Lagging update process - for on-prem we should be able to update within the application like with plugins and not have to update via CLI for every minor release update. Lack of interest and traction from Atlassian to implement user desired features. Subscriptions and filters could use some improvement as well as increased hierarchies of sub-tasks. I think if the Jira product development team made more of an effort to integrate requested features from
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to track and gather info to put together a project plan and continue to build on that and effectively organize initiatives. The ability to bring different business units and departments together for collaboration. The transparency that comes along with utilizing a collaborative tool like Jira. The problem of busines needs floating around and not being put down into a tracking system or documented is being solved.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely utilize the included developer license. This has allowed us to keep a development instance alongside the production instance for testing. Keep business needs in mind and an active channel of communication for development. Consider the future landscape of how your instance will look projected at minimum one year out to begin planning towards that.
