Great project development control.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the visibility of tasks status. It allows you to keep track of processes, more specifically software development, in my case. My company uses this great tool to manage projects development progress. It's very helpful at the moment of logging time to a task or story. I can create tasks with an estimated completion time and log time to it when completing steps of the tasks, and it will automatically remove the completion time to the estimated time left. So I can see what is the time I have to finish a development and my overall progress status.
What do you dislike about the product?
Something that has caused me a little problem on my job is that, when I edit a completed task and save it, it will move the logged work time amount to that day, losing the original completion date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My company is managing projects more effectively and in a more organized way. That's due to the fact that they are able to view my development progress in real time. So whenever I update and register my work, they are able to see it in my task profile, in the dashboards and in their generated reports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend using JIRA for project management, it's a very efficient tool to keep track of every day work. It has a very helpful visibility using dashboards. It automatically calculates the remaining time based on the original estimated and the logged time. You can set a due date and head up to achieve the goal in time.
JIRA is the most advanced work customization tool
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA is our all day partner which is providing us ease to handle our work load through this platform we are capable of assisting our team in a better way because we can easily share plans with our team and assign them different task by still having the idea about who is working on a particular task, JIRA has helped us to design more stories and it is providing us the transparent view of our context. It has become very useful platform for my organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
In terms of its integration with other software, I have found it complex in working a steep learning curve is required to create more effective plans to utilize all its features. Moreover it has some gap in its upload size of the files; we are limited to upload the files based on sizes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are getting full benefit from its “Kanban Board” and easily, we are creating our work schedule so that we have the better idea about our project completion dates and for this purpose it’s “To Do List”, is helping us a lot. Overall I would say it is worthy product for us which is playing significant role in our company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is excellent tool if you want to manage all the software stuff of your organization and it will benefit both sales and finance department in particular. It is suitable for small to large size business setups.
Jira - a great software to organize team collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
It’s very easy to have project managed and get tasks assigned to you, and see team progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found anything in the software yet, that I can say I dislike. It serves its purpose exceptional well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are doing cross team collaboration, and it is helping us stay exceptionally organized.

Helpful for Scrum based tracking!
What do you like best about the product?
JIRA is helpful is that it is adaptable and also transparent to our team. Creating sprints and checking the backlogs/reports is fairly simple while also containing a lot of detail and valuable information clearly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little glitchy, especially when adding formatting into the text boxes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication problems are able to be solved a little easier and being able to link stories to epics really helps to paint a clear picture of our future product.

If you are working on implementing Scrum to your processes, I highly recommend this product!
Popular, But Leaves Much to be Desired
What do you like best about the product?
It's super common in the tech industry for agile sprint planning, so I appreciate the consistency as I move between organizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite being so common-place, it's not intuitive to use. My greater department uses the round-robin feature for ticket distribution, but my team does not. So every time we make a ticket and assign it to someone, it gets automatically assigned to someone else on the team, and we have to go manually change it. Why does it still give us the "Assign to" option if it doesn't work. Many details like that in the user interface leave much to be desired. Waiting for some big updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creates accountability and transparency in the project planning/managing process. Allows us to make tickets for coding following the agile software design framework.
Jira for agile development
What do you like best about the product?
My team uses Jira to manage our overall sprint progress practicing SCRUM. I like that it's simple and easy to visualize the team's work progress in one board and gives us an easy place to look at and see work items are moving throughout the day. It seems to work well for our process where we break up work into small chunks that are typically expected to be done in 1-4 days. The ability to customize form fields in the Jira items has also helped us track things effectively in the past. I also like the JQL search and use it a lot for creating custom dashboards that make it easy to track metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main complaint would be that it's difficult to set some JQL filter up appropriately so you can "set it and leave it". There are plug-ins that could be used to get around this, but they cost money and the benefit wouldn't be quite high enough to justify paying for it. I've found a few workarounds for this, like setting up base filters and using them as filter for other JQL queries so updating the filter once automatically updates all the other JQL queries, but it takes some time to set up correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps us ensure the team is making appropriate progress during our sprints. Without it, we'd likely have a more difficult time tracking work and holding individual contributors accountable for not delivering work. We use it to track overall team metrics as well and track trends over time to look for areas where we have improved, regressed, or might need to keep an eye on. We also use it when teams collaborate. It provides an easy place to give a new temporary team up and running together but using a process already familiar to everyone.
Easy Bugs Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is a tool that is used to Plan, Track and Manage your software processes. Here you can create Plan and bug sprints, you can assign sprints to specific person and also so track of tasks very easily. One more thing that i personally like about jira is its notifications for every action performed whihc keeps you up to dated regarding each and every process.
What do you dislike about the product?
all feature and functionalities are available in this product so we do not dislike this product at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have created different sprints in Jira, each sprint is related to specified software or role. If a sprint is related to bugs then our QA team reports all bugs in the software in that specified sprint. These separations a helps us managing task easily and also helps higher management to see the reporting of any specific sprint on just few clicks.

One of the best collaboration tools of 2019
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is the most used tool out of all the atlassian products. It has been integrated and connected with many other tools under the umbrella and has been used in a wide range of companies that are within the information technology domain. It deliveres the best structures and efficiency oriented workspaces to developers and people within the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not user friendly to those who are not accustomed to development or development tools. A lot of new users are getting lost as the tool has a steep learning curve. It is probably the reason why Jira released Service Desk as a way to help the people just needing support
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The best use of the tool is for solving the complexity of collaboration, release management and development in the agile world when it comes to software engineering most. We re using it daily to manage the complexity and make sure everything is kept track of and that everyone knows what is going on. It is also used to track performance with the tracking of KPIs and other metrics, especially along the way on year to year basis. We have been using tool for years and now it is used in conjunction with many other tools the umbrella has to offer to create a single point of solution for us within he company,

It may be expensive, but does help in solving the issues companies face on a day to day basis - so it is worth the money

What do you like best about the product?
If your company is developing different types of software then then their is a chance that you might miss some errors or some steps. But with Jira you can create different Sprints for your different software where you can address issue to the specific software in that specific sprint.
What do you dislike about the product?
each feature is available in this package so we do not dislike any thing regarding its provided services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We utilize Jira as a bug reporting tool, as we have different under developed software so our QA team report bug in sofrware is they found via Jira Sprint and then developers fix that bug and move that task to completed. All of the activity of Jira can be monitor and also you receive email notification on each and every steps.

What do you like best about the product?
Jira can be used to customize workflows for application development. It's project and product management platform that consist of tools to track issues, bugs, tasks, and other work items through a predefined workflow that can be altered according to the business requirement. Jira is mostly used for Quality Assuarance bug tracking, test case managent and deployment release notes management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is sometimes confusing in certain screens of large scale products. Complicated integration process and migration when the application comes from different system methodologies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira is highly customizable and it has essential tools that enables users to sketch out a broader picture to communicate plans for the business stakeholders. Jira allows workflows to fit any requirement of a particular product according to it's quality criteria. Project management is simplified hence task tracking and reports can be easily gathered to identify what tasks are allocated to development team members to automatically set new tasks and allocations.

Its one of the most effective product & project managent tools that an organization can have to minimize hassel and maximize productivity among business and software development teams.
