Very user friendly UI which will help you track the bugs of your project.
Complete bug life cycle can be seen, all history and commenting is saved which makes life easier for both developers and management.

What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if there is any alerting system inbuilt with jira.
Also multiple or similar bugs can be posted easily, there should be some sanity check (text matching or context matching ) and prompt the user.

What do you like best about the product?
Jira keeps my team organized and on-track. We're able to see what we have completed and any blockers for what we still need to complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a bit difficult to configure. When you don't understand exactly what you're looking for from the software, it can be confusing to set up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira allows my team to track what we have accomplished. As a small team, it's important for us to show the progress we have made. It also helps us keep track of everything we still need to do, and remove any roadblocks. We frequently use it to assign responsibility of tasks that are blocking progress.

Jira can be used for so many different purposes and has many different features. Understanding what exactly you need from the software is important to correctly set it up for your purposes.

Depending on your configuration, you might find that you suffer with system slowness.

Jira is our software bug logging solution, for client to log defects. Works better than mail inbox legacy option.

It is cost-effective for the function. A large project management system covering all aspects of product life cycle creation, testing and project management. A really exciting tool to work with when we pass from requirements collection to implementation through several steps the entire SDLC flow.

Sometimes, many bugs happen where JIRA is just starting to behave strangely, and you just need to shut the browser window off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great project management tool covering all aspects of product life cycle creation, testing and project management. A really exciting tool to work with, as we pass from the demand collection to deployment in different steps the whole SDLC flow.

Good for medium project management. Great. This is an excellent choice if you're looking for an all-in - one lifecycle management application software.
Jira Confluence: Efficient and Effective way of project management
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is one of the most comprehensive platforms out there which has almost all the functionalities that are needed for any complex project management. My most used and favourite feature in Jira is "User tickets", a simple concept of Jira to manage my workflow and handle the dependencies of tasks. Moreover, the great thing here is I do not have to go with any 3rd party tools to generate the documentation reports such as SRS, SPMP project Risks plan etc. Ultimately, Jira is the tool that effectively drives my work at the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well, Jira has almost all functionalities however, there is a somewhat deep learning curve to master it. Also, I believe that there can be some more user-centric customization options provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Jira, we actually track our development work at the organization. With the help of User Tickets, our team lead assigned tasks to team members. We also used Jira to generate documents of the ongoing project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jira is costly in terms of having a pro version. But the cost it charges worth with respect to the functionalities it provides. I highly recommend adopting Jira as your primary project management tool.

What do you like best about the product?
I love using jira to plan sprints and organise complex software development into very easy to digest and organise chunks. The user interface is simple and intuitive, clean and easy to read and has a very familiar feel which i have used for years and years. it has changed a lot over the years for the better and the simplicity is much welcomed!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the regular tasks that I perform i would like a bulk option for in a few places but these are a minor inconvenience. on the whole i really love using it and that is why i have continued to use it over others for so long

It enables us to take on a large number of complex projects and organise them effectively and track progress without losing information along the way.

If you want to run a software project using sprints or kanban then this is really the perfect tool.

1. The large amount of customization available means that it takes longer for the user to set everything up and to train others on how to use the tool.
2. Managing roles, boards, issues can feel clunky and the tool is not as intuitive as it could be.

The tool was used mostly by software developers. And it still remains #1 software tool for agile teams. But as it is not only bug-tracking system, but project management software, any team can benefit from using it in many spheres be it small or huge organizations with multilevel collaboration hierarchy.
One of the main benefits of JIRA for project management is that teams can easily work in it with different methodologies be it Scrum, Kanban or traditional Waterfall with capabilities to estimate time and plan sprints.
