Very user friendly interface. Allows you to add emojis.

Jira is not free. A ticket can be monitored by everyone even of you are not part of the project.

It helps us to fix the bugs of our project. Also helps to create new tasks for the project.

Board, customized work flows, Integrations. Sprint and boards are also very good.

Admin UI is pretty complex. The user dashboard UI is simpler

Task management, Planning sprints, release management, team collaboration. Sprint planning is much simpler and Multiple sprint option is very practical. Reports are also very good.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are having team of developers working on project /product then JIRA is a must have. Integrate it with your Version control system & team collaboration platform.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a killer product for smaller and more dynamic teams who are aware of the whole process as such. It has made product tracking a easy peasy work . It helps a lot in planning and reflecting the true state of work.

What do you like best about the product?
One of the best features of Jira is Sprints and the integration with GitHub. We really like the way it integrates with GitHub and status is automatically updated when PRs are merged.
What do you dislike about the product?
We believe the interface could have been better. Some things are a little complicated and could be improved.

We're using Jira to manage and track our software projects. It really helps us to manage projects.

Jira has MANY great functions. It promotes project management and organization. It links in well with other tools as well. Fantastic product.

The only thing I can think of is cost. I want to use it in an educational environment and I'm not sure how I can.

Project management including quantitative analysis tools
Jira is a good tool for Defect Management
What do you like best about the product?
Jira has some good features but one of the best features I liked which I used a lot is the Dashboards to track the Defects and also the test cases individually and for the whole team as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing that needs to be improved is the load time in some cases and also the attachment size limit which falls short some times when we have bigger documents ( POTS, design documents , lengthy logs).

JIRA is a good tool for Defect tracking within the project wherein a defect can be assigned and re-assigned multiple times

Jira enables us to manage projects across a cross-functional team and develop software using an agile approach.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jira can be a steep learning curve when it comes to managing workflows. Some of the UI can be complex and makes it difficult to locate the correct function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira has helped improve efficiency within the business and the integrations with Github & Slack enables us to keep communication consistent across teams and different platforms.

What do you like best about the product?
It is highly customizable and flexible to your given workflow. We have changed a lot over the years to accommodate our specific project management style.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is likely the way we have it configured, but when we are looking at the kanban, if we select more than one name, no tickets show. So, in order to move from one person to the other, we have to deselect one user and then select the user you want to look at.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project and ticket management. We use it for all of our ticket queue. If it isn't in JIRA, it isn't getting done. It really helps funnel everyone and train coworkers on the proper methods for us to do anything for them. "Submit a ticket" is a great way to make sure people think about their request before submitting anything.
