An incredibly powerful and extensible tool let down by a clunky, sluggish, hard to navigate UI
What do you like best about the product?
Out of all project management software options around, Jira is unmatched in power and extensibility. Making it the obvious choice for large scale, national and transnational projects. And regardless of what toolset of services your business relies on, there's a strong chance Jira has some kind of integration/plugin with it to make communication between them near seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
As powerful as Jira is, it can feel that the entirety of its power goes to waste when the user interface it ships with is so complicated and hard to use. Even simple tasks like creating a new ticket or feature request become daunting tasks for new users. This is made even worse by a new update introduced to Jira which while it modernates the UI, it makes the already incredibly slow to load interface, even slower.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira was the only all in one project management solution for a project of our scale. We found Jira's numerous integrations incredibly helpful with improving our workflow. Like getting notifications through Slack and Email when certain processes go down, or tracking code changes via automated bots.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you find your team is inexperienced with Jira, strongly consider the option for paid training for team members.

What do you like best about the product?
What i like best about Jira is that you can create sub titles for each report you make. So when you go back to the report, it will be much easier to look for it because it is segrated accordingly. Also, you can assigned someone to do the task you report. Once the task has been completed, you will be notified as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
What i dislike about Jira is that you cannot edit or delete the report you made. You can only do is to mark it done and write a comment about it. So if you want to correct something about the report you made, you have to create a new one instead. They should put an edit or delete button on this to make it more easier for the user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Jira for my work. I report here every problem that our website is encountering. And the person assigned to the report we made is the one who will solved this and marked done once resolved. It benefits everyone in the organization since we are communicating here most of the time. It makes easier for everyone to resolved each issue we are experiencing.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hosting it locally is good if you are concerned about owning the data and possibly migrating to another platform. Otherwise, I would just pay for a hosted service.
