    Computer Software

Very Simple to Follow Platform that is Well Mapped Out

  • October 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to track defect and system ticket issues quickly and all in one space when is comes to QA agile software testing. The system makes it easy to follow the life of a ticket throughout the testing process, from development all the way through to merging into production. It is also nice to see a snapshot/thumbnail view of each ticket as they progress through the line as well as the feature to click on any ticket to get an expanded view with more detail in a separate widow to the side. I also like the customizable dashboard feature. The Kanban Board is a powerful tool/feature to use for any business that deals with software development and quality assurance testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike having used other similar platforms in the past as comparison. This is head and shoulders above the competition in terms of easy of use and simplicity of design.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jira helps the QA department track and organize/prioritize all agile tickets related to testing our software. It keeps all testers and developers on the same page and makes it easy to identify aging tickets as well as where current tickets stand and who was assigned to them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a very beneficial product when it comes to development and Quality Assurance testing.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the performance issue, sometimes users or dev teams complain about slowness

The gold standard for agile software development

  • October 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As I said, it's the gold standard. Hugely powerful and dynamic.
What do you dislike about the product?
From what I can understand, the Jira phone app does NOT work when you have a locally-hosted Jira installation. You have to use Jira Cloud to use the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I actually use Jira to plan + track my own work. I work in 1-week sprints.

Great User Interface and overall product

  • October 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how intuitive Jira is compared to some of it's competitors, like Wrike.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would prefer an alert system, like a desktop alert, when a status changes/comment added as opposed to the email system. It's cumbersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy communication and status checks on current bugs/stories.

Excellent issue and tracking solution

  • October 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the extensibility - you can set labels, custom fields, organize issues, link them, etc. Nothing is lost, search works well. Even in a large project, each issue is tracked, you won't forget anything.
What do you dislike about the product?
User interface could have faster responses when communicating to the server and updating the output. I am not saying there is a huge delay, not at all, just a split second, but enough to be noticable, so you just can't click things in a row, you need to wait a fraction of a second for it to update and then continue. Something that will bug power users a very tiny bit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking development tasks and bugs, as well as support tickets. Integration with ticketing system is a huge benefit.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Together with Confluence the comination is a strong contender, one we are satisfied with.

Extremely customizable dashboards. Small learning curve. Excellent performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Text formatting is not very intuitive; could support Markdown by default.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier management of tasks and inter-team communication.

Jira is helpful but hard to pin down

  • October 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to tag coworkers in projects and issues and how it makes communication easier on the team
What do you dislike about the product?
The interfaces seems to change often, like it keeps updating to a new version that I can't get used to before there's a different one to use
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves a lot of communication issues within our team and the benefits are that we function better as a company.

Agile Scrum? Nailed it

  • October 03, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The thing I love the most is how it fits perfectly the scrum process. I use it to track down stories and tasks for my team. I like how it allows me to balance between items in the backlog and the ones that are in the active sprint.
What do you dislike about the product?
The "Release notes" tool doesn't fit my need. I would like to be able to select what fields of the story I want to export in the release notes and then generate them.

When navigating to the "Advanced Issues" interface, the side bar changes and it breaks a bit the navigation (I can't go back to the lists "Backlog" and "Active Sprint").
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to track what:
- we are going to work on in the future
- we are currently working on
- we worked on in the past

The benefit is that Jira has now become the source of truth for what is being shipped in the company.

JIRA for Task tracking and Management

  • October 03, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a developer, JIRA helps me to track the assigned tasks and notifies me about the updates to tasks, we can add the estimates to assigned tasks and Provide the proper root cause once the bug is fixed
What do you dislike about the product?
JIRA loads slowly and should have an auto-refresh option within ticket whenever a change is updated to ticket
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To estimate task and log the working hours as per estimations, to create bugs and provide the rootcause
