Ubiquitous in the tech space, but clunky and disliked by many everyday users
What do you like best about the product?
It allows companies to track ticket progress for software features and bugs, with many customization options (if you can figure out how to use them).
What do you dislike about the product?
It's very clunky, and can be extremely difficult to figure out how to really customize properly, even for those who have used it regularly for years. It continues to have a surprising amount of bugs, as well, given how massive the company and profit is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of what stage new features and/or bug fixes are at in the software development life cycle.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do a free trial period first, or try competing products like Trello. If you don't need a huge amount of customization (and/or can't afford to pay a consultant to set it all up in your desired way), it's really not the tool for you.
Best bug tracking tool for QA!!
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing to use jira is to track the all the bugs and test cases! We can easily find the posted bugs and test cases by using filter.
What do you dislike about the product?
We can't able to copy alone the test case ID or Bug ID from jira!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As of now no from me!
Super helpful for startup speed development
What do you like best about the product?
It’s super customizable and granular, the reports are super useful to refine processes to get things moving faster. Epics are wonderful!
What do you dislike about the product?
Complex to customize unless you’ve used it for a long time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We’re solving the problem of project planning on a more micro (team by team) basis for engineers. The benefit is tasks are super well laid out along with clear ownership and timelines.
Jira review

Helpful for tracking items, like ease of use
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be tedious to use, don’t like dashboard structure, can be hard to customize
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for staffing/record keeping, easy for team to use
Great oversight of workload and projects
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Jira can certainly be defined in the following points: · Be able to save the information of the work that each member of the team does, whether for hours, minutes, keeps me organized and on-time with many diverse projects; allows collaboration across teams and between office locations (ie with traveling salespeople) so we are not doubling up or letting things fall through the cracks
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating workflows is complicated; maybe more useful for a larger organization, smaller companies could get by with a less robust (and expensive) software option
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started using this software as an avenue provided by Mid-Range Dynamics for their support center. I like it because it lets them control/respond/track support issues that we have and I'm sure their other customers. Thanks to Jira, reports of great value can be obtained about the current state of the team members, what tasks they are currently performing and in what state they are.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When we have an issue or question for MDCMS, they use JIRA for support; It is easy to create a support ticket and doing it this way makes our administrators all use the same avenue for support from MDCMS.
Good solution for project management
What do you like best about the product?
Jira is the first project management software that I used and it does what it needs to be doing. Flexible configuration, searches, etc
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's not very intuitive when trying to configure boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bug tracking, project management makes work so much easier.

What do you dislike about the product?
Jira provide the best feature but sometime it take more time to load the issue. Sometimes JIra's development facility doesn't appear.

Using Jira the project can be easily maintained. Jira's regularly updating so it is very helpful. The bug tracking becomes way easier due to Jira. One can log the work hours for the particular ticket. Company can easily do the estimate with the help of JIRA.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
JIra is the best bug tracking tool. This can be used by any company for the better tracking of the bug and the employee work log. Jira's integration with the confluence make it untouchable. Jira is worth a try !!
Most complex tool
What do you like best about the product?
Im able to search for everything very fast
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes templates are overwhelming. There is not an easy way to change them. In a perfect solution, I will love to have drag and drop functionality. I wish to be able to create this in more UX friendly. Sometimes with using the standard template you left many fields empty what make to unnecessary to be visible for rest

Quality Assurance/ Programing

Its matter of needs if you have big needs jira is for you
NEXT Gen changes everything
What do you like best about the product?
In general, the deep integrations Jira has with Github, Craft, Invision, Confluence, all make for useful features to help with managing stories from initiation to completion. This is the key strength. Aside from that, Next Gen adds some useful features like consistent drag and drop in the way that Trello operates, and isolates settings per project. It's worth a second look.
What do you dislike about the product?
That the Next-Gen feature set isn't up to where the classic jira feature set was. It's a shame. Also, moving stories between projects takes. significant amount of clicks. You shouldn't do this a lot, but it's something to be aware of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a single source of truth - one that actually the devs in the organisation would buy into. Previously I used Craft in this capacity - but the feature set it has is overkill for a dev team to rely on, whilst Jira has some wonderful commands you can use through slack to integrate with Github.
